How to make Nígeria pepper soup

Nigerian pepper soup is a popular and flavorful dish that is typically spicy and aromatic. It can be made with various types of meat, fish, or seafood, and is commonly enjoyed as a starter or main course. Here's a basic recipe for making Nigerian pepper soup:

Ingredients:
- 500 grams of meat (such as goat meat, chicken, or beef), or fish/seafood
- 2 liters of water
- 2-3 tablespoons of ground pepper soup spice (available in African stores or can be homemade)
- 2-3 tablespoons of ground crayfish (optional)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-2 tablespoons of fresh ginger, grated
- 2-3 fresh peppers (scotch bonnet or habanero), chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
- 2-3 stock cubes (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh herbs (such as scent leaves or utazi leaves), chopped (optional)
- Lime or lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:
1. If using meat, wash and cut it into bite-sized pieces. If using fish or seafood, clean and prepare them accordingly. Set aside.

2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the meat, fish, or seafood to the pot and let it cook until tender. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface.

3. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped peppers to the pot. Stir well.

4. Add the pepper soup spice, ground crayfish (if using), and stock cubes (if using). These ingredients will enhance the flavor of the soup. Adjust the quantity of pepper soup spice and peppers according to your preference for spiciness.

5. Reduce the heat to a simmer and let the soup cook for about 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Stir occasionally and taste the soup to adjust the seasoning with salt if needed.

6. If using fresh herbs like scent leaves or utazi, add them to the pot during the last few minutes of cooking. These herbs will add a fresh and aromatic taste to the soup.

7. Once the soup is ready, serve it hot in bowls. Squeeze some lime or lemon juice over each serving for added tanginess and freshness.

Nigerian pepper soup is often enjoyed with a side of boiled yam, plantains, or rice. It's a delicious and comforting dish, especially during cooler weather or when you're in the mood for something spicy and flavorful.

The “Oldest Gold Of Mankind” was found in the Varna Necropolis, on The Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.
The Varna Necropolis (also known as Varna Cemetery) is a large burial site in the western industrial zone of Varna. It is internationally considered to be one of the key archaeological sites in world prehistory.
It was at this site that the oldest worked gold treasure in the world was discovered, dating from 4,600 BC to 4,200 BC.
A total of 294 graves dating between 4569-4340 BC have been discovered at Varna Necropolis so far, including three thousand gold artefacts.
While there were many elite burials uncovered, there was one in particular that stood out among the rest – grave 43. Here, archaeologists uncovered the remains of a high status male who appears to have been a ruler/leader of some kind.
More gold was found within this burial than in the entire rest of the world in that period.
