Topic. The Power In The Word
Text: John 1v1-14
INTRODUCTION:
The Word of God is in Himself God. (John 1v1-2). The Word of God is our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1v14). What proceeds out of your mouth is you and represent your personality. Your word can save you or destroy you. Your word can implicate you and can exonerate you.

1. THE SYMBOLIC IDENTITIES OF THE WORD
I. The word of God is a sword. (Rev 1v16, Heb 4v12). The word of God can be used as a weapon against the enemies of your destiny and your life.
ii. The word of God is spirit, light and life. (John 1v4-5, John 6v63). When the word of God is preached, He Come with power hitting our heart and convicting you to repentance. Hence He will bring you peace and life
iii. The word of God is bread. (Jere 15v16, John 6v35, Matt 26v26). The word of God is bread you can eat and you will have life in you. Non Christians will not understand this . The holy communion we eat monthly is bread which represents the body of our Lord Jesus Christ.
IV. The word of God is a fire a consuming fire and Hammer. (Jer 23v29). The word of God is a consuming fire and break every stony hearts into pieces
v. The word of God is living water (John 4v10-15). The water of the wor is life giving spirit
vi. The word of God is light and lamp to the believers (Psm 119v105). When you walk in the light of the word you will stumble or mislead
vii. The word of God is a law. (Josh 1v8). The Christians walks and live daily on the law of the word of God.
viii. The word of God is quick and powerful (Heb 4v12). The word God is quick and very fast and faster than the speed of light.
ix. The word God is Truth (John 17v27, Col1v5).
2. THE CAPABILITIES OF THE WORD
The word of God has the capacity of the following
I. Gives eternal life ( 1Jhn 5v11, John 6v54&68, Rom 6v23). When you eat the word of God or drink of it, it spring to eternal life.
ii. Can make you righteous before God (Psm 119v11).
iii. Makes you innocent and cleans you. ( Eph 5v26, 1Jhn1v7)..
iv. The word edifies. (Eph 4v16, 1Tim1v4).
v. The word purifies and sanctifies.(John 17v17, Eph 5v26).
vi. The word heals sickness and diseases (Pam 107v20, Matt 8v8 & 16)
vii. The word saves (Luk 8v12).
viii. The creates (John 1v3, Gen 1v3-end).
ix. The word wedge war or battles for you.
CONCLUSION
The daily living on the word guarantees safety, protection, healing, prosperity, health, long life and eternal life. Accept the word in your life and you accept all these.
