The Story of the Spotted Animals (Genesis 30:25-43)
Jacob had served his uncle Laban for many years. When it was time to go, he asked to be paid with the spotted, speckled, and black sheep and goats.
Laban agreed but secretly removed all those animals from the flock and sent them away.
So Jacob was left with only plain animals.
But Jacob understood a powerful principle; "what you see repeatedly, you reproduce."
He took fresh branches, peeled off strips of bark to make them spotted and streaked, and placed them where the animals could see them as they came to drink and mate.
And something amazing happened. The animals began to give birth to young ones that looked like what they constantly saw; spotted, speckled, and streaked.
They produced what they looked at. That’s the Power of Visualization.
Visualization is not magic. It’s a spiritual law. "You become what you consistently behold." (2 Cor. 3:18 Amp).
Just like those animals, your mind, spirit, and life reproduce what your eyes and thoughts are fixed on.
So, what do you see every day?
If you keep seeing yourself as weak or defeated, that’s what your life will produce.
But if you keep seeing yourself as God sees you; strong, beautiful, wise, fruitful, your life will begin to take that shape.
Visualization is not pretending. It is not faking it until it is true.
It is "seeing with faith until it becomes real."
Exercise for Today:
1. Find something that represents what you’re believing in God for. It could be a picture, a word, or even a written goal.
2. Place it somewhere you’ll see it often, like your mirror, phone wallpaper, or journal.
3. Each time you see it, pause for a few seconds and picture it becoming real in your life.
4. Let your heart agree with that picture.
Remember, the animals gave birth to what they constantly saw.
So, keep your eyes on what you want to see birthed in your own life.
