[68]Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
[69]And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
[70]As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
[71]That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
[72]To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
[73]The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
[74]That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
[75]In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
[76]And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
[77]To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
[78]Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
[79]To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Pray for that child...you've tried everything else but prayer.
...like night and day oh,
the atmosphere changed.

"Didn't I warn you at home about this, oya bring those legs of yours that you can't control! No more running, no more running!"

I cajoled an apology from the girls to their dad but he wouldn't have it. He wiped their feet with his palm many times, ensuring it hurt as much as their offense as he scolded.

"Thank you sir, they'll be fine sir", I said amidst chuckles, at the door as he headed for his car.
Three of them had just resumed from midterm break and upon checking into the hostel, the intensity of gloom showing on their faces signalled me that it was deep rooted in their hearts too.

"Lanre!" I called out, to the brother of the two girls. As he walked towards me I began mouthing in enquiring as he came to me, what was actually wrong with his eyes. They were red and quite swollen.

He gave the same answer he had repeated in response to his father's asking, even when they were visibly teary. "You'll be okay. Rest, I'll check on you later", I said patting him on the back, and gesturing towards the male hostel, as I let him leave.

It was taking too long to unpack a mini traveling box which contained both girl's wears and I watched both from the ironing table, where I was preparing my uniforms against the week's duties, as they went about folding and arranging with ruffled faces.

I called out to the senior girl and asked her a question in an attempt to break the silence. She heard me I'm sure. She wanted to answer I'm sure, but her heart and lips were very heavy.

No later that a minute, both began arguing over a pair of skirts whose owners were obvious because of their lengths and a fight was in view. I knew I couldn't let this linger and must handle it fast.

"Father in the name of Jesus, I ask that you take over the hearts of these young ones now, lift the gloom Lord, dislodge the effect of the hold of the son of the bond woman, they are free....". I prayed calling their names. Eh, like night and day, the atmosphere changed.

I called her again, she answered in the softest tone I've ever heard. Too swift a shift for one who was shouting at her sister in anger 2 minutes ago.
I resolved their contention and they both agreed as the younger one's weeping became sobs.

There they were suddenly wanting to chat with "Mati" short for matron, smiling and going about the rest of their activities cheerfully!
All children from the other religion.

Pray for that child.

Kachifo.

Be delivered from God abeg in Jesus name!

It is not every time you joke.
Darkness is not joking with you.

satan and his minion are always on the prowl,
never come to a place where you become ignorant of the devices of the wicked.

Arm yourself with awareness that they will stop at nothing to kill, steal or destroy.
Remind yourself that that is why the Son of God lives in you.
You who were sometime in darkness porous for the prowlers, same you have been translated into God's marvelous light and kingdom!

Arise in authority now king. Stand before your altar now priest. Mount your guard again oh soldier.

When he comes like a flood, beyond "God abeg",
roar!
devil, I see you trying to bring bad dreams? I'll trade them for God's promises! (Psalm 91:5)
Scary symptoms? I'll trade them for God's healing! (Isaiah 53:5)
Doctors' reports? I'll trade them for God's word! (Matthew 8:17)
Economic turmoil? I'll trade them for God's provision! (Philippians 4:19)

I put on the armor of God, and I stand firm! (Ephesians 6:10-18)
I am a child of God, and I am loved! (John 3:16)
I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ! (Romans 8:37)
No weapon formed against me shall prosper! (Isaiah 54:17)
You, devil, are defeated, and I am victorious! Flee from me, for I am a vessel of the Holy Spirit!

I command you, Satan, to leave me, my family, and my life! I am not your territory! I belong to Jesus Christ, and I am free!
You may try to attack, but I will not yield! I will not be intimidated! I will not be defeated!

I am a warrior, equipped with the armor of God, and I am UNSTOPPABLE!
Flee, devil! Flee from me, and never come back!

The LORD rebuke you!

Somebody somewhere is busy fanning the fire that will be used to burn him.

Jay Mike's response is it.đź’Ż

People are looking for how to move forward, some others are busy making their beds six feet below where sensible people live.
Is it not obvious who the id!ot is?

This is for HER. Maybe Him too.
I have not come to full comprehension of her life yet but I know, God is too interested in her beyond the caricature of mere mortals.

Keep showing up my sister.

She stands on stage, and the words vanish.
The song she rehearsed all night slips from her lips like smoke.
She tries to quote the verse that once burned in her heart, but it comes out twisted.
People notice. Some smile politely. Some whisper.
And she walks away feeling small.
Like maybe she is not called after all.
Like maybe Heaven made a mistake choosing her.

There are moments when life strips her bare.
She tries to walk with integrity, but everything she touches seems to crumble.
She gives her all, yet it ends in disappointment.
She loves deeply, yet they walk away.
She prays hard, yet it feels like God is still.
And somehow, she is the one who looks foolish.

But Heaven has not changed its mind.
God still calls her by name, even in her trembling.
He does not flinch when she forgets. He does not sigh when she stumbles.
He leans closer and whispers, “I am not grading you. I am growing you.”

She thinks she looks foolish,
but Heaven sees a daughter still showing up when it hurts.
He sees courage wrapped in nervousness.
He sees faith that refuses to quit even when it is humiliated.

The cross looked foolish too.
That is what obedience sometimes looks like.
Clumsy, messy, misunderstood, but still holy.

So let her forget the lyrics.
Let her mix up the verses.
Let her cry afterward and still show up the next time.
Because God is not looking for perfection.
He is looking for surrender.

One day, her voice will be steady.
Her heart will heal.
Her story will make others breathe again.
Because even when she could not get the words right,
her brokenness was still worship.

Those who look to Him are radiant.
Their faces will never be covered with shame.
(Psalm 34:5)

I am seeing you recover all, this November!

I am seeing you recover all, this November!

‎Can your life be any messier?

‎Bills are screaming, your body and soul feels emptier.
‎Your faith has become thinner, your hope feels wearier,
‎and your smile? It's now faker, instead of being cheerier.
‎
‎You keep praying but heaven seems quieter,
‎your dreams? They have gone on a diet — now lighter.
‎You are scrolling through, seeing others doing better,
guilt and frustration write you a daily letter.
‎
‎You have been shouting, “God, I’m tired of this test!”
‎You have tried your best but it appears life is a jest.
‎Your heart is hanging on a pulse, your joy is on forced rest,
‎and peace? It has checked out like a guest.
‎
Believe me when I tell you, ‎even at that, God still sees you.
‎Yes, with the cracks, the flaws and all the issues.
‎He will wipe your tears but not with tissues,
He will ‎with His Word that redefines your misuse.
‎
‎He used Moses, who had blood on his hands.
‎Rahab, who sold her body for man’s demands.
‎David, who fell, yet still took a stand.
‎Peter, who lied, but still led the band.
‎
‎So who told you your story is too twisted to matter?
‎Who whispered that your calling is in tatters?
‎Well God says, “I’ll use the messy platter,”
‎He can turn your shame into holy chatter.
‎
‎You are saying, “I’m done.” He says, “You have more to render.”
‎You are saying, “It’s over.” He says, “I don't remember.”
‎You are saying, “I’m unworthy.” He says, “I am your redeemer.”
‎You see a mess; He sees a messenger.
‎
‎He’s not scared of your history because He authored your mystery.
‎He’s not shocked by your weakness, He allowed it, it fuels His completeness.
‎He doesn’t need your perfection, He needs you in His direction.
‎"Yes Lord, I will," should be your confession.
‎
‎So if your life looks like a stormy sea,
‎Don’t bow your head, look up, you’ll see,
God's Grace is still recruiting the messy,
‎Your destiny is still calling as it is.

‎Can your life be any messier? Maybe.
‎But God’s mercy runs deeper daily.
‎He’s rewriting your story bravely,
‎and using your ruins beautifully and gravely.
‎
‎Because your mess is the stage for His glory show.
‎Your scars are the proof that His love won’t go.
‎So breathe. You’re seen. You still glow.
‎Even at that God needs you, please know.
‎
