HAVE CONFIDENCE OF VICTORY IN GOD

"You prepare a feast before me in plain sight of my enemies. You refresh my head with oil; my cup is completely full." Psalms 23 : 5
Psalms 23 is one of the most popular chapters of the bible.By inspiration ,David introduced God as a shepherd who cared diligently for his flock. Jesus said that he was the good shepherd. A shepherd is one assigned to cater for the wellbeing of the flock. In the culture of the Jews, important people were honoured with feasts. To God, you are that important! What makes this unique was that it was in the presence of the enemies as opposed to friends and family as was their tradition.
The text for today explains one of the ways God as a shepherd honours us - preparing feast right in front of our enemies! There were several instances that Jesus himself ate feasts in the presence of the Pharisees, Sadusees, and the Scribes( the self appointed enemies of Jesus) without fear. You need to know that enemies will always abound for children of glory. After the battles come the celebration of feasts while your enemies watch you powerlessly.
Renew your confidence in God to : meet every need, honour you where you have been ridiculed and continually provide for your protection. There is confidence of victory and celebrations for the children of the kingdom both here and in the Millennium reign. Continue to fight the good fight of faith. "You are from God, little children, and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." - 1 John 4 : 4. God in you, is greater than your enemies and your challenges. As you trust and serve him faithfully, he has greater laurels awaiting you.
PRAYER : LORD, HONOUR ME IN THE PRESENCE OF THOSE WHO HAVE WRITTEN ME OFF AS I REMAIN STEADFAST IN SERVING YOU IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME.
