🕊️ CCC Castle of Mercy Parish — Last Sunday of the Month
HAPPY LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH! 🎉🙏
Sermon by Evang Akinyemi Isaiah

Topic:FROM SINAI TO PATMOS: ENCOUNTERING THE LIVING GOD
1. The Call to Covenant Identity
The Message:
◦ In Exodus, God offers Israel the privilege of becoming a "kingdom of priests" if they keep His covenant. Exodus 19:6c
◦ In Revelation, John declares that through Jesus' blood, this promise is fully realized for all believers. Revelation 1:6b
◦ Peter bridges these two texts by using the exact language of Exodus to describe the New Testament church. God's purpose has always been to build a set-apart community that reflects His light to a dark world.
1 Peter 2:9 ("But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession...")

2. The Necessity of Consecration
• The Message:
◦ Before God descended on Mount Sinai, Israel had to take three days to wash their garments and abstain from worldly distractions. Exodus 19:10–11
◦ God’s presence requires personal purity. We cannot expect to experience the power of the Holy Spirit or receive clear divine direction if we approach God with unexamined, cluttered, or compromise-filled hearts.
◦ Consecration is an intentional act of setting ourselves apart for God's holy use before we step into His presence.
Hebrews 12:14 ("Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.")
2 Corinthians 7:1 ("...let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit...")

3. The Majestic Revelation of the Almighty
• The Message:
◦ Exodus shows God revealing Himself in thunder, smoke, and terrifying glory at Sinai. Revelation shows Jesus Christ in His glorified, divine majesty—the Alpha and Omega, standing sovereign over time and earthly rulers. Revelation 1:7–8, 10–11

◦ The writer of Hebrews explicitly connects Sinai and the heavenly vision: while Sinai brought fear under the old covenant, the revelation of Christ brings us to the throne of grace through the blood of Jesus.
◦ When facing trials, isolation, or uncertainty (as John did on Patmos), fixing our eyes on the sovereign, returning Christ gives us unshakable hope.
Hebrews 12:18–24 ("You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire... But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God...")

CLOSING SCRIPTURE
James 4:8 "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

First Sunday in the month of September, 2026.
Service conductor and preacher: Senior Evangelist Olusegun Omaduja

Acts 2:29–41 — Peter Preaches About Jesus
Peter explained to the people that the Old Testament promises concerning David ultimately pointed to Jesus Christ.
He declared that:
Jesus was sent by God.
Jesus was crucified and killed, but God raised Him from the dead.
Jesus is the promised Messiah and Lord.
The Holy Spirit had been poured out as God had promised.
When the people heard this, they were deeply convicted and asked, “What shall we do?”
Peter told them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
About 3,000 people accepted his message and were baptized.
Main lesson: God keeps His promises, and when we recognize what He has done through Christ, we must respond through repentance, faith and obedience.

🕊️ A GLORIOUS TRANSITION HOME 🕊️

With deep sorrow, but with gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent in His service, we announce the glorious transition of our beloved Venerable Superior Evangelist Onaduja Oluwafemi Gbeminnyi (Perry), Shepherd-in-Charge, CCC Castle of Mercy Parish, Waru, District Abuja.

He departed this earthly life on 19th August 2026, at the age of 64.

VSE Onaduja Oluwafemi was a devoted servant of God, a loving father, grandfather, brother, shepherd, and a blessing to the body of Christ. His years of faithful service, dedication, humility, and love for God's work touched many lives.

Though his departure has left a painful void in our hearts, we are comforted by the assurance that he has gone to be with the Lord and that his labour in God's vineyard was not in vain.

We celebrate a life of service.
We honour a life of faith.
We remember a shepherd who cared for his flock.
And we give God all the glory for the life He gave him.

As we mourn his passing, we pray that the Almighty God will comfort the entire family, the church, and everyone who was blessed by his life.

Sleep on, Venerable Superior Evangelist Olufemi Perry Onaduja
Your earthly race is finished, but your legacy of faith and service lives on.

🕊️ May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, till we meet to part no more. Amen.
