For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE AND LEGISLATIVE JURISDICTIONS - PART 1

One dictionary defines warfare as the process of military struggle between two nations or groups of nations. Another defines it as the activity of fighting a war, *especially using particular weapons or methods.*

From the title of today's teaching, it would be safe to define spiritual warfare as the activity of fighting a war using particular spiritual weapons or methods.

2 Cor. 10:4 speaking on the same matter tells us: For the weapons of our warfare are *not carnal* but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds...

Legislative jurisdictions on the other hand speaks of areas where you are allowed or permitted to operate or do battle. What this simply means is that you must know your limits when engaging in spiritual warfare or you fit collect wotowoto.

One of such limits is that it is not in your place to destroy the devil or cast him and his angels into the bottomless pit neither is it in your place to set them on fire. Yes, even Jesus Christ was queried in Mathew 8:29 when the demons felt he wanted to torture them.

In the coming days and months, our successes will be largely based on two things - *skill and understanding* -. And this is why we must be properly equipped in such a way that we do not only reduce the level of casualties but work smartly.

I'd like us to pause here and ponder. Tomorrow, we will talk further about the Skills and understanding needed to triumph in 2024.

Please feel free to ask questions.

May our day be blessed beyond our imagination in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

IS PLEADING THE BLOOD OF JESUS BIBLICAL? - PART 2

I stirred some discussion and caused a ripple in many minds by highlighting that the phrase 'I plead the blood of Jesus over my family/job/thoughts/illness, etc.' lacks biblical foundation.

Those accustomed to the call-and-response prayer pattern—where one says 'blood of Jesus' and others respond likewise—found it hard to grasp why I wouldn't just stay in my lane and leave the alone.

Part of my mission is to strengthen the body of Christ, fostering unity, maturity, and unwavering faith through proper teaching. I aim to cultivate a community of believers standing firm against false teachings and misleading practices. So, I won't just leave you alone; I'll teach you.

As I mentioned before, 'to plead' means to make an emotional appeal or present and argue for a position. It could also involve making a statement of what you believe to be true, especially in support of something or someone.

If I were to plead the blood of Jesus Christ, I'd explore the Bible to understand the provisions made by the blood of Jesus and use them in prayers, a practice known as 'praying the word.' This aligns with Psalm 107:2: 'Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.'

For instance, If I were facing a recurring issue attributed to negative foundational altars, instead of chanting 'Blood of Jesus' or covering myself with it, I would use 1 John 1:7 and say: 'My heavenly Father, since I received the life of Christ, I have walked in light, and the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed me from all sin.'

I might go further, saying, 'LORD, I know that I was not redeemed with corruptible things but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot' (1 Peter 1:18-19).

By using these Bible verses, I'm pleading my case based on the blood of Jesus Christ—making an emotional appeal or presenting an argument supported by evidence in scriptures.

To deepen this, I might engage in communion regularly until the matter fades away.

If, even after this, you insist on soaking yourself in the blood, my prayer is that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened in the name of Jesus Christ!

IS PLEADING THE BLOOD OF JESUS BIBLICAL?

You might have heard someone using the phrase “I plead the blood of Jesus over _______.”

People fill in the blank with whatever they want: “I plead the blood of Jesus over my family/job/thoughts/illness.”

“Pleading the blood of Jesus” in prayer is a teaching common in Pentecostal and Charismatic circles. When people speak of “pleading the blood of Jesus in prayer,” they are referring to the practice of claiming the power of Christ over any and every problem.

“Pleading the blood of Jesus” has no clear basis in Scripture. No one in the Bible ever pleaded the blood of Christ. Those who “plead the blood” often do so as if there were something magical in those words or as if by using them their prayer is somehow more powerful.

HOW THEN SHOULD I PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS SINCE I WAS BORN TO MEET MY PARENTS DOING IT?

I understand that many of us might unconsciously revolt against this teaching.

What is he trying to say? Abeg make him stay him lane o. Blood of Jesus when we don dey plead since dey even use am cover our windscreen, food etc.

So that my brother, Emeka, and my sister Chinonso will not private chat me to tell me that I need more revelations from the Holy Spirit, I have carefully explained how you might be able to plead the Blood of Jesus Christ below.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PLEAD?

To plead means to: (i) make an emotional appeal (ii) present and argue for (a position), especially in court or in another public context.

It also means to make a statement of what you believe to be true, especially in support of something or someone or when someone has been accused in a law court.

If you must "plead" the blood of Jesus, the above definitions apply.

Based on the above, pleading the blood of Jesus means to either make an emotional appeal or to present and argue your case based on what the blood of Jesus can do for you like making a statement of what you believe to be true about the blood of Jesus (See Psalm 107:2).

So when next you are asked to plead the blood of Jesus Christ, stop covering yourself with the blood of Jesus or shouting blood of Jesus Christ like it's one magical phrase! Rather you should engage what the scripture says about the blood of Jesus Christ!

Again, nowhere was it written in scriptures that a recitation of the phrase blood of Jesus had any power rather the bible said in my name they will cast out demons.

May God grant us understanding in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! PLEADING THE BLOOD OF JESUS BIBLICAL?

STRATEGIES TO FIGHT FOR YOUR PRAYER AND SPIRITUAL LIFE

1). Discipline yourself to pray whether or not you feel like it.

2). Maintain a prayer roaster. To achieve this, some people ensure they pray every hour or every 3 hours.

3). Control what you hear and see. If you are facing challenges, especially the economic type, please refuse to listen to news or engage in discussions about how bad the economy is. Some may say it is self-denial but we know that ....Faith comes by *hearing,* and *hearing...* (Romans 10:17). Meaning that repeated hearing of something builds faith. Interestingly it is not only positive faith that can be built through this process. Negative faith too. The Bible records that "when the woman heard about Jesus she came up behind him and touched his garment (Mark 5:27). In 2 Chronicles 20:2-3 we see that Jehosaphat feared after he heard from someone about the people coming to attack them. I would like you to know that you can choose not to listen to prophecies that repeatedly assault your confidence or constantly put you in a disadvantaged position.

4). Do ever procrastinate when you are led to pray. Your prayers and supplications can be done anytime and anywhere even while washing plates or sitting in the toilet. This world operates largely by speaking and projections. This is why brands spend so much in advertising through audio and visual means.

5). Pray about anything and everything. Whatever thoughts or feelings cross your mind whether positive or negative immediately say "My heavenly father thank you for this good feeling.... or "Lord I feel troubled but your word says you have not given me the spirit of fear..."

6). Build a prayer group or a prayer partner.

7). Do not miss prayer meetings in church.

8). Do not be too busy to pray. You can pray on your bed, kneeling, standing, jogging and while trekking.

This concludes our discourse on fighting for your prayer and spiritual life. Please do not hesitate to reach out for clarifications.

Pray:

1). Heavenly Father, you who gives life, I am grateful for a new day. May your name be forever praised.

2. LORD empower me and give me the consciousness to always practice your presence and communicate with you as I communicate with all those I see physically.

*FIGHT FOR YOUR PRAYER AND SPIRITUAL LIFE (LUKE 5:16)*

Like the popular saying goes "A prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian." Prayer is a strong weapon of warfare but to remain prayerful is easier said than done. It is requires a fight.

To be prayerful is to be sensitive spiritually. If there is a man to pray, there is a God to answer.

On this spiritual path, we pray over everything (Philippians 4:6). We pray over our offerings, tithe, seeds, food and anything you can think of.

With prayers you can reach places beyond your physical reach. You can expand your sphere of influence.

You can be in one city and subdue forces of darkness in another town. You can take charge of your office and programme everything in your life long before you are even there.

As the Devil plans ahead you also plan ahead in prayers. Nothing in your life can go wrong until your prayer life has been attacked. It is an interplay of forces.

If you are not speaking into your life in prayers, something or someone else is speaking something you may not have control over into your life and affairs. Physics tells us that nature abhors a vacuum.

One of the ways to make prophecy come into manifestation in your life is through prayers (1 Timothy 1:18). It is also through prayers that you can counter negative pronouncements in your life and affairs.

The way out of temptation is through prayers (Mathew 26:41). I have often taught here and elsewhere that the spiritual path labelled Christianity is no child's play and is not for the faint hearted, lazy or careless person. One major sign of spiritual carelessness is prayerlessness. Those who hate you for nothing or seek to make your life difficult do not live their lives carelessly so why must you?

Tomorrow, by the help of the Holy Spirit, we will continue this teaching by showing us why many find it difficult to pray.

Pray:

1. LORD thank you for the gift of life.

2. LORD forgive my carelessness and help my prayer life.

May we be engraced with unusual ability to pray in the name of Jesus Christ!

🙏 **WAKE-UP CALL! 🌟**

God's "secret" formula to supernatural wealth and provision is to seek the growth and expansion of His Kingdom (Mathew 6:33 Read from verses 25 to 33 to get the context)

This supernatural wealth and provision is only activated in obedience (See Isaiah 1:19, Deuteronomy 28:1; Deuteronomy 30:16).

What it activates is what we know on this spiritual path as "The Blessing" or the grace called Favour.

⚠️ Important: This formula is exclusive to believers in Jesus Christ who've declared Him as Lord.

When you obey, you will NEVER lack the basic things of life and they'd often come supernaturally. Whether or not you will be very wealthy will depend on the amount of work you are putting into the job assigned to you by Jesus Christ himself.

🙌 May God bless us all in the name of Jesus Christ! 🙏

NEVER SAY DIE...QUIT WORRYING (Matthew 6:26-27)

As news of unstable economic policies hit you from all corners, let not your heart be troubled.

Remember Bible stories of how the people of God prospered even in famine. Refuse to be moved by what you hear or see. Your mind should be set on the word. For it says, if you be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land.

We grew up seeing people complain about the government of their time. There had never been a time when the current government did better than the previous. The prices of things were never known to come down.

The world has been programmed in a certain way and if you do not get it, you are on your own. Begin to re-program your mind to gather as much wealth as you can. Refuse to engage in conversations about how bad the economy is. Monies are simply changing the direction in which they flow and they'd flow into the hands of people. What are you doing to ensure you are one of those it flows to?

Worry drains our energy and creates a stronghold of habitual distress, robbing us of joy, peace, and happiness. Don't allow worry to consume you; keep your eyes on the solution (Philippians 3:13-14; Isaiah 43:18-19).

I GET AM BEFORE NO BE PROPERTY: STOP CARRYING THE WEIGHT OF THE PAST AND FOCUS ON THE NOW

Many of us are in the habit of holding unto our past glories. We are constantly brooding over the millions we lost, over that car/property we once had or one position we once held so much so that we forget to live in the present.

Sometimes our refusal to let go of the so-called glorious past or emotions like bitterness and unforgiveness can slow us down and even keep us locked in the past. Guilt and despair over past sins may also keep us chained to the past. It drains us of the required energy to focus on the things that matter and opens up doors to many life issues that might eventually lead one into depression and maybe avoidable death.

There's no point holding on to the past when there is such a thing as RESTORATION on this spiritual path of Christianity. Even the scripture where you are told to forget the former things did not tell you that your old tv set or phone will be returned rather it promises you a new one (Isaiah 43:18-19).

As Christians, we must begin to learn as Apostle Paul did, to forget those things which are behind, and prayerfully reach forth unto those things which are before, taking daily steps to press towards our goals (Philippians 3:13-14).

*RELAX AND TAKE LIFE EASY: FOR WE BROUGHT NOTHING INTO THIS WORLD, AND IT IS CERTAIN WE CAN CARRY NOTHING OUT.* (1 Thimothy 6:7 NKJV)

I recently came across a meme that read:

*"Life no hard, na you wan use coke budget drink Hennessy"*

For our none Nigerian followers what this means is that life is not so difficult, it becomes difficult when you begin to think of how to take Hennessy with a budget that can only accommodate a soda (coke).

As humorous as the above is, it passes a very profound biblical message.

Understanding man's penchant to worry over the unknown, the Bible in Mathew 6:34 advises us not to worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will take care of itself. It further states that today has enough trouble of its own.

James 4:1 and James 1:14 suggests that our troubles arise mainly from our desires and ambitions that consume us. We are even warned not to boast about tomorrow:

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil (James 4:13)

Interestingly, when the Master, Jesus Christ, taught how to pray, it was "Give us this day our daily bread (Mathew 6:11) not tomorrow and not this week, month, or year.

The Psalmist, on the other hand, informs us that God DAILY loads us with benefits (Psalm 68:19)

Please do not get me wrong, this is not a call to be slothful (lazy) but to be followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12, see also Romans 12:11)

Let us endeavour to ask for and live one day at a time just as Lynda Randle did in her song and we would not only live a peaceful and healthy life, we would live fulfilled.
