One day a lady said something to me proudly, she was like “You see this church thing, I do am before, e no get church program wey I no go, better calm down and explore this life”.

One word that struck me in her statement is “Before” I pondered on how a Christian presently boasts of a spiritual life that is called “Before”

A man of God once said that our spiritual life has a diminishing effect, which means if it's not attended to daily, no matter how fiery it is, it will gradually lose its blaze.

That two days off your secret place is a threat to your future fire, gradually you begin to lose taste of what life should be all about by dwelling in past Glory instead of burning daily to sustain future flames.

The goal is that 100 years from now, your spirituality should not diminish with age, it should rather increase and burst out from your belly to your world.

I pray for you, May your Love and zeal for God not grow old along with your age, and may it be a new experience on a daily basis.
May your spiritual fire be present continuous and not past tense,the
Years from now, may you not define your spirituality with the word “Before”.

I will burn brighter and even brighter till my last day!!

When we were children in an average Nigerian home, once a movie got to explicit or kissing scenes, our parents would quickly grab the remote — fast forward, change the channel, or tell us to close our eyes and leave the parlour.

We cooperated… at least physically.
But even with our eyes closed, our minds were already aware of what they were trying to shield us from.

Now we are older.
We feel mature.
Mature enough to watch and not act.
Mature enough to hear and not indulge.
Mature enough to be entertained without being influenced.

But somehow, we begin to crave what we have never tasted.
With our eyes open, our minds become filled with pictures we never intentionally took.
The once innocent child becomes a struggling young adult — not because they were weak, but because they believed they were too strong to be weakened.

They forgot something simple:
Avoiding the scene is sometimes the victory.

Psalm 1:1 says:

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.”

Notice the progression.
It starts with walking.
Then standing.
Then sitting.

Exposure becomes comfort.
Comfort becomes residence.

If the path isn’t avoided, the destination won’t be either.

Sometimes maturity is not proving you can handle it.
Sometimes maturity is knowing when to turn it off.

If you need to shut your eyes like a child to protect your fire, don’t just shut your eyes.

Turn off the TV too.

*Dear beautiful daughter of God 💐*

February doesn’t arrive with a shout.
It comes gently… like a whisper.
Like God leaning close and saying, *“Let me love you first.”*

This month is not about the frantic chase for validation, approval, or affection. It’s about the quiet art of being satisfied early. Not with attention, not with achievements, and certainly not with people… but with His *mercy* 🙏

Because when mercy fills you early, you don’t spend your days begging the world to complete you.

♡ *Before the day overwhelms you* — mercy meets you.

♡ *Before guilt reminds you of yesterday* — mercy rewrites your story.

♡ *Before fear speaks* — mercy speaks louder.

The Psalmist didn’t pray for a breakthrough first. He didn’t ask for fame, applause, or even answers. He asked for the one thing that changes the atmosphere of a soul 🍃✨

*Why mercy?* Because mercy does what money and romance cannot: It quiets the ache. It softens the heart. It restores the joy that life tried to steal 🌻

This month, we are not desperate daughters. *We are anchored daughters* ⚓️✊

We wake up already loved. Already forgiven. Already chosen.
So we don’t run into February looking for who might love us — we walk in knowing we are already *obsessed over* by God Himself 🥹🤍

You are not behind. You are not lacking. You are not forgotten.
You are satisfied early with mercy 🙌

*And because of that…*
♡ You don’t chase affection — *you attract alignment*.

♡ You don’t settle — *you discern*.

♡ You don’t beg — *you receive*.

February, come teach us how to rest in mercy.
How to breathe in grace.
How to smile without pretending.
How to love from fullness, not from need ❤️

This is our month of:
✨ *Healing* over hustling
✨ *Grace* over guilt
✨ *Mercy* over pressure

God’s Girls… you are not entering February empty. You are entering it already overflowing. And because of that — you will rejoice. You will be glad. You will be whole 💯

Have you ever thought about that moment
when the devil told Jesus,
“Turn this stone into bread”?

Imagine if Jesus actually did it.
He eats the bread.
And then?

He’s hungry again.

That’s why Jesus didn’t say,
“Man shall not live by bread.”
He said,
“Man shall not live by bread alone.”

Because bread isn’t bad.
Money feels good.
Food feels good.
Attention feels good.
Good grades feel good.

But they don’t fully satisfy.

Some things look like shortcuts—
turning stone into bread,
rushing the process,
making life easier,
dating for money,
cheating to pass an exam etc

But Jesus said man shall live
by every word that comes
from the mouth of God.

Because in the Word of God,
there is bread…
and more.

So don’t chase bread
when you can sit with the Word.

And don’t let people with just bread
pressure you—
when you have bread and more.

You have the Word of God.
And that is enough.

What “bread” are you most tempted to chase instead of sitting with the Word?🥺
