The devotional : Moment of Encounter Daily is an arm of Light Harvesters International Gospel Center.

It came as a child of circumstance when the ministry(LHIGC) was actually on a pause mode waiting for her appointed time.

Topic: *OUR SICKLE OF PRAISE*
Scripture : Joel 3: 13. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

Beloved, I welcome you to another moment of encounter! Yesterday we concluded by introducing our sickle as praise. Today, we shall examine how this beautiful tool becomes a harvesting tool.

*What then is a sickle?*
A sickle is a tool for harvesting grains from the field. In the same vein our sickle of harvest for this season is a tool called Praise.

*How does Praise become a tool for our harvest?*
1. When it is done deliberately:
*Psalm 9: 2. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.*

This is the kind of praise, you deliberately enter into and not because you were cajoled, coarsed or forced into it. You make up your mind to have a date with God on continual basis like the psalmist declared a 'I will sing praise to thy name '!

David understood this kind of praise and decided to set apart 4,000 men to take up the responsibility of praising God.
*1 Chronicles 23: 5. Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.*

2. It is a praise that is done with all your heart :
*Psalm 9: 1. I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.*
This is a praise your spirit, soul, and body is involved in. You are not praising God absent mindedly you.

Beloved, do you desire a harvest in any realm, then engage the mystery of deliberate praise. Let the totality of your life be involved in the praise. It will open strange doors you least expect.

Beloved, are there people, you have helped in life and when it is time to harvest the labour of love in their lives, they turn their backs on you. Don't be bitter against them, stop bothering yourself unnecessarily. Instead of complain, quarrel and becoming bitter simply switch to the tool of praise.
Do you know there is a God that can make the axe-head to swim(2Kg.6:4-7)? That's the God of restoration! He will bring back your lost glory, lost hope, lost relationship, lost contact. Whoever needs to be back into your life for you to have your harvest this season, God will restore him/her back to you. One thing you must do is deliberately choose to praise God. Even when it seems all thope is lost, go ahead and give praise to God Almighty because He doesn't forget your labour of love.
*Hebrews 6: 10. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.*

*Remember this* : Heaven is real and hell is real! Your decision to serve God by surrendering to the Lordship of Jesus is your sure ticket to spend eternity with God. Don't loset it.
*Prayer points:*
- Father thank you for your word to me today.
- Lord I receive grace to engage the mystery of praise in Jesus name.
*Prophetic Declaration:*
- I prophesy the release of all your hanging blessings in the name of Jesus.
- The God that made iron to float, will certainly restore your wasted years in the name of Jesus.
- You are not permitted to end the year empty handed in the name of Jesus.

Topic : *UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT OF HARVEST*
Scripture :Joel 3: 13. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fat overflow; for their wickedness is great.

Beloved, I welcome you to another moment of encounter! The understanding you have concerning a matter determines the maximum profits you can enjoy from it. Today, we shall explore the concept of harvest.

*What exactly is harvest?*
1. Harvest means to gather or reap (a ripened crop) from the(the place where it's has been ). It also means to receive or reap (benefits, you consequences, etc)

The application of this is that harvest a process we gather 'ripened crops' from where it's has been planted. The ripened crops in this case represent your labour, your sacrifice, every other thing you must have sown.

Beloved, if at the beginning of this year you put in your labour in prayer, soul winning, in giving the etc? I'm glad to announce to you that the process has just begun for you to receive back what you have put into the kingdom. *Genesis 8: 22. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.*

For your information, every day of your life, you are sowing seeds! How you lived your life per time is a seed that is stored in eternal archives. So if you live carelessly there's is harvest, if you live insulting people, there is harvest etc:
*Galatians 6: 7. Be not deceived; God is mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.*
*Hosea 8: 7. they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield not meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.*

2. Harvest is the season for gathering crops, the product of an effort, action, etc

The implications of this is that, your season of turnaround is here! Child of God don't think God has forgotten all your labour of love for Him!
*Hebrews 6: 10. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye havet shewed toward his name, in that yet have ministered to the saints, and do minister.*

Your little, little effort here and there have been registered by angelic scribes(secretary) of heaven. You may forget because you are at mortal man but the Immortal, Invisible God can never forget. And He has sent me to announce to you that this is your season, this is your time!

*How then do you reap your harvest?*
Our opening scripture reveals that you put in your sickle(Joel 3:13)! And the sickle the Holy Ghost says you should adopt is your praise. You must learn to throw in your sickle for a sure harvest or else, your harvest will remain in the field. So learn to give God quality praise.

*Remember this* : Heaven is real and hell is real! Every single steps outside Christ is disaster waiting to happened. Jesus loves you.
*Prayer points :*
- Father thank you for your word today meet today.
- Lord I receive grace to reap my harvest And to continue to sow a good seed in Jesus name.
*Prophetic Declaration :*
- I prophesy in this season of rewards, you shall not loose your rewards
- The turn around package heaven has in stock for you this period, you shall not loose it in Jesus name.

Topic : *ACTIVATING HARVEST THROUGH PRAISES*
Scripture :Joel 3: 13. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

Beloved, I welcome you again to another moment of encounter! I believe God must have flooded our hearts with lights of varied intensity all through the month of November! I want to sincerely welcome you to the last month of the year December 2020! It is going to be a month of bumper harvest!

We understand from scripture that:
*Genesis 8: 22. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.*

So, as long there is day and night, the law of sowing and reaping is in force. We must also note that there is a time to plant and also a time to harvest what has been planted(Ecc.3:2)! Don't only be consumed with sowing without knowing when to harvest what has been planted. And if you are a child of God, who has adequately engaged the law of sowing all through the year, then you should be excited about this time of your harvest! Infact, you have nothing to be ashamed of, rather celebration. If however, you have not been planting /sowing then shame is inevitable.
*Proverbs 20: 4. The sluggards will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.*

Beloved saints of the most High God, this is what the Holy Ghost is saying 'it is your season of harvest '! For every seed you have ever sown, for every labour of love you gave ever shown since the year began , this your time to harvest.
*Psalm 65: 11. Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.*

And this is the end of year 2020 which God has crown with goodness and favour! You are not permitted to end the year empty handed because this is your season of turnaround harvest.

However, harvest without reaping is a waste of harvest! So you must know the right tools to deploy for effective harvest. Therefore we shall be traveling through Bible as we consider the tools to adequately bring in our harvest. Hence in this month of December, the theme of our Daily meditations is *ACTIVATING HARVEST THROUGH PRAISES!* We trust the Holy Spirit to unveils to us the mystery, the power and glory behind praises as a tool for bringing in our harvest. So fasten your seat belt as we journey together, May God richly bless you as you key in to the daily instructions of the Holy Spirit through this meditation in Jesus name.

*Remember this :* Heaven is real and hell is real! To end up in either heaven or hell is just a moment decision away. Make that right decision today. Jesus loves you.
*Prayer points :*
- Father thank you for bringing me to the last month of the year 2020.
- Lord, help me to heed your instructions all through the month of December in Jesus name.
*Prophetic Declaration :*
- I prophesy your harvest shall not be wasted in the name of Jesus.
- Receive grace to take what is meant for you this month.
-As Haman was hung in his own gallow, so shall any one who set trap for you shall fall inside their own trap this month in Jesus name.

Topic : *DEVELOP A HEART OF GRATITUDE AND GIVE THANKS*
Scripture :Psalm 105: 1. O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: Make known his deeds among the people.

Beloved, I welcome you to another moment of encounter! You are welcome to December, the 12th month of the year 2020. I was going to church on Sunday when the Holy Spirit took my mind through some issues and then reminds me until you have a grateful heart you cannot be thankful. So our subject today and is how to develop a heart of gratitude and then proceed to thanksgiving!

*What is thanksgiving?*
It is an expression of attitude of gratitude to God for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He is yet to do.

*How do we give thanks?*
1. By developing a heart of gratitude : Until you develop a heart of gratitude you can't thank God well. And to develop a heart of gratitude, you must have a thoughtful heart. Many find it difficult to thank God because they don't remember what God has done for them and where God brought them from.
*Psalm 103: 2. the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:*

Beloved, one great enemy of thanksgiving is forgetfulness! Most times you are quick to forget what God has done for you. And then the devil is busy showing you what is not working to stop you from thanksgiving. Whoever is showing you what has not been done, is your arch enemy because he wants you to say 'what am I thanking God for? What has God done for me?' that is an attitude of ingratitude! Rather focus your mind on what God has done and cultivate the attitude of gratitude then you can give thanks continually.

I plead with you please reject the attitudes of ingratitude and show to God that you are grateful. To develop a grateful heart, sit down for a while and ponder about your life today. It will amaze you what God has has done as you begin to count your blessings and name them one by one. Beginning with your ability to sleep and wake up daily :
*Psalm 3: 5. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me* .

You will realize that, you slept and woke up every day was a miracle of God not by your power. Some person slept and out on from the sleep.

Besides, think about your salvation and raise appreciation to God! Think about journey mercies you enjoyed, think about the diseases God healed you from, think about terrible attacks of the devil that you recovered from, think about some nights when it appeared as though you would not make it to the next mornings yet you made it! Do a soul searching and you will discover that, although you are not yet in your dream land, but you are no longer where you used to be. Then raise up your voice and give thanks.

2. This is the physical act of expressing your gratitude to God. You can do its with an offering, dancing, clapping, shouting or singing praises to God Almighty, develop the attitude of gratitude first.

*Remember this* : Heaven is real and hell is real! Eternity lies ahead every man. Make a decision today of where to spend eternity.
*Prayer points :*
- Father thank you for your word to me today.
- Lord I receive grace to develop a thankful heart and be thankful.
*Prophetic Declaration :*
- I declare, windows of heaven open up for you this December
- May the floodgates of heaven's resources be turned open in your direction in the name of Jesus.
- Every garment of shame and reproach tear off in Jesus name
