*There are women, and there are WOMEN!*

Some may remain girls even after having children.
But some will become MOTHERS!
Even if they are not yet with children.

This is because motherhood is not just a product of child bearing.
Motherhood is a choice you make everyday to make someone happy, to listen, to pray for, to pray with, to help, to direct, to counsel. Whether or not, that someone, came from your womb.

"Being a Mother is a holy calling, a sacred dedication for carrying out the Lord's plans, a consecration of devotion to the uprearing and fostering."

"A mother is one to whom you hurry when you are troubled.”
It is having,
Spiritual, physical, relational and all sorts of influence!
Being a mother, is Influence! *

Positioning yourself to be that person is the next big thing God is about to help you achieve.

*WORD FOR THE WEEK*

*Topic: Faith and Patience*

In Hebrews 6:12 we read that it is only through faith and patience that we can inherit the promises. So faith alone is not enough. Hebrews 10:36 also says the same thing that you need patience after having done the will of God to inherit the promises of God. The NASB translates the word `patience' as `endurance' in the above verses - and that's what it really is.

We never have a complaint against anyone who causes us problems, because God makes all that others do to us to work for our good (Rom.8:28). Romans 8:28 is like a water-filter. Whatever dirty water people may pour into it, the water that comes out is perfectly clean and pure at the outlet. Whatever people may do to us, good or bad - whether they praise us or curse us, whether they help us or harm us - if we believe in Romans 8:28, what we get out of it will always be good! But we must believe. Faith is like putting on the switch for an electronic water-filter. It won't work without the current of faith passing through it.

The Hebrew word `revayyah' (meaning `fullness') occurs only twice in the Old Testament:

(1) Psa. 23:5 - "runneth over" (KJV), "overflows" (NASB)
(2) Psa. 66:12 - "wealthy place" (KJV), "abundance" (NASB)

Putting the two passages together, we get the following spiritual truth: After God anoints our heads with oil (Psa.23:5), He brings us into the net (tight circumstances), lays an oppressive burden upon us (but not more than we can bear), makes men to ride over our heads, and takes us through fire and water (Psa.66:11, 12), and thus brings us to a place where our cups overflow (Psa.66:12 with Psa.23:5). So between the anointing and the overflowing, there are many trials that we have to go through. Only then do we come to an overflowing life.

So whatever trial comes our way - whether caused by the mistakes of others or by the deliberate wickedness of evil men, or by what appears to be accidental - we can rejoice in all of them, because

*(Proverbs 22:17-27)*

*Topic: Fill your heart with God’s wisdom*

*How healthy is your heart? Have you filled it with God’s wisdom? Just as what you put in your mouth affects the health of your body, what you put in your heart really matters.*

The writer urges you to keep the wisdom of God’s Word in your heart, to ‘treasure its sweetness deep within’ and to have it ready on your lips, so that your ‘foundation is trust in God…’ (v.17–19). As you learn the wisdom of Scripture (for example, by memorising Bible verses), your trust in the Lord is deepened (v.19).

He then lists thirty ‘principles – tested guidelines to live by’ (v.20, ). These are thirty ‘truths that work’ (v.21, ), the first few of which are in today’s passage:

• How you treat the poor and needy. Be kind. Don’t exploit them. Don’t crush them (v.22–23).

• How to avoid becoming ensnared by anger and a bad temper: ‘Bad temper is contagious – don’t get infected’ (v.24–25,).

• Warning against gambling and practical advice on how to avoid getting into debt. Don’t put up security for other people’s debts (v.26–27).

These sayings are wise principles that help you to live well. The heart of wisdom is more than good advice. It is about putting ‘your trust… in the LORD’ (v.19).

In the New Testament, we learn that Jesus is ‘the Wisdom’ of God (1 *Corinthians 1:30).* Because Jesus lives in you, you have the wisdom of God in your heart.

*Prayer:*
Lord, thank you that you live in my heart by your Spirit. Thank you for the power of the Word of God. Help me to read it, learn it, meditate on it and have your words ready on my lips that my trust may be in you, the Lord Jesus Christ.
