OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT: LEGAL UPDATE

Fityanul Islam of Nigeria remains committed to the pursuit of justice and the protection of the fundamental rights of our leaders.

We bring you a crucial update regarding the legal proceedings involving Sheikh Sani Khalifa AbdulQadir Zaria.

In a significant development on Friday, the Federal High Court in Abuja has intervened in the application filed for the enforcement of the Sheikh’s fundamental rights.

The Court’s Rulings on the application that seeks to uphold the Sheikh's constitutional rights as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights, specifically regarding:
✅️ Right to Dignity of the Human Person.
✅️ Right to Personal Liberty
✅️ Right to Fair Hearing, and
✅️ Right to Freedom of Movement.

72-Hour Ultimatum given:
The presiding judge has officially ordered the Federal Government to "show cause" within the next 72 hours as to why the court should not order the immediate release of Sheikh Sani Khalifa AbdulQadir Zaria.

The court has fixed the return date for this order on: Thursday, 12th February 2026.

Fityanul Islam is particularly grateful to the legal team of; ALIYU & MUSA (SAN), Legal Practitioners, Consultants and Notaries Public, for their steadfastness in the pursuit of justice to the Sheikh, and to the many well-wishers too numerous to mention, who had lend their voices and prayers.

We urge all the members and well-wishers to remain calm, law-abiding, and steadfast in their continuous prayers and support, as we navigate this legal process.

We trust in the judicial system to uphold the rule of law without bias... Kudos to the justice system and the rule of law.

SEASON'S GREETINGS!!!

The National President, Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, Shaikh Dr. Muhammad Arabi Ahmad Abulfathi wishes to extend his utmost pleasure and gratitude to Allah (SWT) for the blessings bestowed on us for this year’s Sallah occasion.

The Muslim Ummah, all over the world, have trooped to Makkah to perform hajj exercise as one of the pillars of Islam. This, indeed, is a blessing in which we rejoice and thank Him (SWT) for the rare privilege to witness the hajj days.

I would like to call upon the Muslim Ummah to embrace the spirit of hajj days and emulate the discipline, love, compassion, and sacrifice of those days in our future endeavours.

Now is high time for us to unite and work together towards a brighter future. I urge each and every member of this august organisation, and of course the Muslim ummah entirely to take ownership of our collective vision and contribute your unique skills and talents to drive peace, promote peace and progress in Nigeria. Let us march forward with purpose, passion, and determination. Together, we can achieve greatness. Let us pray without time for all we aspire, In Shaa Allah, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I wish to thank and sincerely pray for our dear nation, particularly its leaders, security operatives and civil servants whose diligent efforts restored hope to its citizens. Fityanul Islam of Nigeria Losses Icon

The news of the passing of Sheikh Mainasara Liman Zaria, Chief Preacher, Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, came with a great shock. The National Headquarters was deeply saddened to learn about the demise of such a revered figure, whose impact on the Muslim community and beyond was truly remarkable. Sheikh Mainasara was a respected religious leader whose voice for justice, peace, and unity earned him admiration across the country and even beyond. His ability to bring people together and promote understanding was a hallmark of his leadership.

Sheikh Mainasara was known for his wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to truth. He was a beacon of hope and guidance for many, and his teachings continue to inspire countless individuals. Through his leadership, he strengthened the bonds within the Muslim Ummah, and Nigerians generally, he fostered a sense of unity and purpose. His guidance and counsel were sought by people from all walks of life, and he responded with compassion and empathy.

The legacy of Sheikh Mainasara will be felt for generations to come. His tireless efforts to promote peace, understanding, and cooperation between different communities were truly remarkable. He worked tirelessly to address the needs of the Muslim Ummah, providing guidance and support to those who sought it. His leadership brought strength and stability to the community, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, followers, and all those who were inspired by his life and teachings. Fityanul Islam of Nigeria is deeply grateful to His Excellency, Sen. Alhaji Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, for his generosity in donating a vast piece of land to us for the construction of Shaikh Ahmad Tijjani International University. This noble gesture demonstrates his commitment to the growth and development of Islamic communities plus the nation at large and we are thrilled to have his support in this endeavor.

The establishment of this university will mark a significant milestone in the State's and nation's educational landscape. It will provide a platform for students to acquire knowledge and skills, not only in Islamic studies but also in various other fields of study. This institution will serve as a hub for intellectual and spiritual growth, benefiting our community and beyond. By providing opportunities for higher education, we can empower future generations to make meaningful contributions to society.

We pray that Allah rewards his Excellency for his kindness and blesses him with continued success.
