RICHES AND SORROW
“But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.” Luke 18:23

The cause of sorrow of this young man was not because he was poor, it wasn’t barrenness, delay in marriage or any problem of life, but it was because he was rich - he was very rich and he became very sorrowful, simply because he was very rich.

Riches increases sorrow of life when it’s not guided by sanctification of life.

Riches without sanctification of life cause sorrow of life.

Sanctification of life here means daily examination of one’s life by God’s word and total submission to the word of God.

When God blesses you, what you urgently need is not a new car, a new clothing, house or anything else, you need a life of sanctification more urgently than anything, if not the riches will cause eternal sorrow for you. More children of God lose their salvation or spiritual seriousness in riches than in poverty.

“And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Luke 18:24, 25.

Riches Without Sorrow
When our hearts are enriched with the Word of God daily, there is no earthly riches that can cause us sorrow.

Proverbs 10:12, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.”

May the Lord bless you with all His riches both spiritually, physically and financially as you stay watchful, in Jesus name. Amen

JESUS' SECRET OF SUCCESS ON EARTH
Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Have you ever seen a basketball player wanting to throw the ball into the basket and fixing his eyes on the ball? No, he will be looking at the basket, his target, and not the ball, his object. The same goes for the footballer who wants to play a penalty shoot. His focus would be on the net as his target, looking steadily at the net, which will eventually control his object the ball.

This same strategy was used by Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry, He was looking steadily at the target, not the objects around. In the Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

“Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross” here we can see the target as the “the joy that was set before Him” and the object as the “cross” His target was the joy of salvation of many people of many nations, the everlasting joy in heaven for many souls, He was so much focused on that, He was not focusing, thinking or worrying about the terrible suffering of the shameful death on the cross.

When you focus on the target in your career, in your academy, in your business, in your marriage, in your ministry and mostly in your spiritual life as in your journey into heaven, you are sure of success.

So, based on Hebrews 12:2, when you are focusing on the targets of what you want to achieve as end-result of any aspects of your life, you will be able to do the following:
1. You will not easily give up on that mission or marriage
2. You will be able to endure the cross you are bearing or carrying in the process
3. You will be able to despise the present shame and suffering
4. You will eventually be set at the throne of success.

You see, Jesus set His focus on the target, and at the end, He was set at the right hand of the throne of God. Do you know what it means? If you set your mind and focus on the right thing, you will surely be set at the right hand of the throne of success at the end. If you set your mind on the right thing in your spiritual life and ministry, you will definitely be set at the right hand of God in heaven.

The Bible is now admonishing us to look unto Jesus, look at His secret and strategy of success, how He set His focus on the target and not the objects that we should do likewise. That is it! Simple secret but strong solution for success in life and in our journey to heaven.

LORD HELP US TO FOLLOW YOUR EXAMPLES. AMEN

HARLOT BY GARMENT
Genesis 38:15, "When Judah saw her, he thought she was a harlot"

You can be registered as a harlot in heaven simply by the way you dress. You don't need to become an active s*x worker, you don't need to commit a single s*xual immorality with a man before Heaven will recognize you as a pr******te and remove your name from the Book of Life; in fact you can be a virgin but still a heavenly recognized harlot. How does that happens? It happens simply by what you wear and how you wear what you wear. If you wear low-cut dress or low necklines including ball gowns that exposes your cleavage, meaning, that shows the upper part, little trace of your breasts when you bend down, you are a harlot. You don't need to be half naked before you become harlot by garment, but as long you wear any clothing that reveals your cleavage a little, you are a harlot.

Also if you wear tight clothes that shows the anatomy of your body to the world as to show your shape, you are a harlot; if you wear transparent or perforated clothing that shows your inner-wears, you are a harlot; if you wear any dress which does not covers your arms or your kneels, you are a harlot. This may be hard to take but a spiritual reality for holy standard of the heaven minded.

You can be a pastor, a minister, deaconess; you can speak in tongues of angels, you can sing like angels, whoever you are or claim to be does not matter, but to God, you are a decent harlot. If this is too hard for you to take, you can wait until you get to the gate of heaven, only that will be too late, and I will not advise you to wait that too late. There will be surprise on the rapture day and in heaven, when our identities are declared to us, and we may say, "Lord, I am not a harlot, and never be one"

As a Christian woman, what will be your reason before God for wearing clothing that exposes your cleavage? How will you defend your motive of wearing tight, transparent, perforated and short dress?

LET'S REPENT AND PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS

TEMPTATION: SATAN’S TRAP TO ROB YOU OF YOUR BLESSINGS

I have discovered by experienced that when God is about to bless me financially more than before, there would be different temptations on my way, and after I resisted those temptations I would receive a financial or material blessings. Let me give you an example, in 2013 when I got married, things were not financially okay with us, and in September of that same year I received a credit alert of certain amount from my bank, then I thought it was a support from brethren because then I sent my account number to several brethren who asked for it, for their financial support. The the following month, I received same amount from same source, but with description of "Salary" Then I knew it was a mistake from the sender, paying wrong person salary.

So I searched the name of the company that was sending the money on google, I got the phone number of the CEO, called him, he apologized and directed the company's accountant to call me and forward their company's account details to me so I could pay back the money.

The accountant did so and he promised such would not happen again. I paid the second money back. But to my surprise I received another payment from the same company the following month, and the following month again. Then I went to the bank, because their bank is same with mine. I complained to my bank, begged them to call the company's account officer in Lagos and to warn them never to send money to my account again.

That was how I got freedom from the temptation. The bank officers were amazed at my complain, that many would not have kept complaining for that. Then, I had little or nothing in my bank account. But after I refused to settle with such wrong money, things turned around for my family financially since then. The wrong salary payment into my account was the amount I paid my workers as salaries.

Many Christians remain financially and materially un-blessed because they fell into one sin or the other. Do you know that when you cheat in exam, you are handing over your certificate to Satan, when you are committing fornication in your courtship, you are handing over your marriage unto Satan, when you bribe to get job, contract or whatever, and you are missing God’s own blessings.

Devil can offer you a trap blessing in different ways, do not fall into it lest you forfeit God's blessing for your life. God has a better and greater than whatever Satan or sinful means are offering you now.

Receive grace to say no to sin!

THE MEANING OF THIS BIBLE VERSE: ISAIAH 33:1“Woe to you who plunder, though you have not been plundered; And you who deal...
07/05/2026

THE MEANING OF THIS BIBLE VERSE: ISAIAH 33:1
“Woe to you who plunder, though you have not been plundered;
And you who deal treacherously, though they have not dealt treacherously with you!
When you cease plundering,
You will be plundered;
When you make an end of dealing treacherously,
They will deal treacherously with you.”

If we look at this special Bible verse very well, there two things to take note: 1, God declares woe, judgment on those who plunder and those who deal treacherously, and 2, it says when they cease plundering or dealing treacherously, they will be plundered and they will be dealt treacherously with.

Now, what does this mean? Does it mean when someone who has been plundering or dealing treacherously repents and stops, that God will make people to plunder him and deal treacherously with him? The answer is no, that is not what it means. Because when we repent from our sins and stop doing sinful things, God’s mercy overrules judgment. But this Bible verse is not talking about people who repent and stop doing bad things but it is talking about people who cease. It is a different thing to willfully stop or to cease because the opportunity ceases or because you are sacked or your time expires. They are two different things.

The Bible says, “When you cease plundering,
You will be plundered;
When you make an end of dealing treacherously,
They will deal treacherously with you.”

Here, it is talking about people who are doing bad things and when their opportunities of doing bad things cease, not that they repent and stop, but they don’t have the opportunity to do it again, then God will allow people to begin to do bad things to them.

A young single lady going out with other women’s husbands, collecting their money and committing sins with them, one day, she will cease being single and want to marry and settle down with her family, then she will begin to reap her sins, her marriage will also be plundered and single ladies will also deal treacherously with her husband.

Smart people, right? Who are plundering, stealing, looting money at their places of work, they are dealing treacherously with another man’s business, but one day, they will cease, they will be retired or they will leave and want to start their own businesses, then the Bible says, when they cease plundering, then they will be plundered.

You see some people looting money in their places of work and within a short time that they are retired or they are sacked, everything they have goes down and they are subjected to nothing, it is the fulfillment of the word of God.

Listen, the Bible says whatever a man sow he shall reap. There is nothing we do that we will not reap the judgment. You are stealing, looting, robbing, deceiving, in people’s business or government offices, one day, you will retire or think of having your own establishment, then you also will be looted. The cars you buy with stolen or looted money or the houses you build with stolen money will bring God’s judgment upon you and your household.

As a single man or lady, you are flirting with married men or women, later you will want to cease such life and settle to have your own family, then as you have done to married people, it will be done to your married wife or husband.

The one way to escape the judgement of sowing and reaping, of the repercussion of what you have done is to repent, plead for God’s mercy and forsake your sin before it is too late. It is only God’s mercy prevails over judgment and for you to have God’s mercy, you must repent and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior so that His Precious Blood can atone for your sins and wipe them away free.

It is not just to cease doing bad things but it is to receive the mercy of God into your life through Jesus Christ. Even if you cease doing the wrong things, you can’t undo the wrong you have done but you can receive mercy that prevails over judgment into your life through Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13.

" If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:8,9

EX-DEEPER LIFERS
The reason many ex Deeper Life people and pastors turn worldly shortly after they leave Deeper life is because the standard and structure of their Christian life was based on Deeper Life rules and regulations, not on the word of God.

It was based on the fear of disciplinary measures of Deeper Life, not on the fear of God, it was based on the control of Deeper Life and not on the control of God's word or God's Spirit.

So when they leave Deeper Life, they have no human control, no fear, no standard and their inner fall becomes obviously outward.

And the same thing is applicable to many Deeper Life members and leaders still in Deeper Life Church, many are standing on the solid rubble of their church and not on the solid Rock of God, which is the word of God.

Extreme hypocrisy and empty denominational confidence is what you get when a church deliberately place fear of leaders' discipline above God’s discipline, when church's ordinance and rules are above God’s word.

So many people in Deeper Life are possessed with the "spirit of Deeper Life " not the Spirit of God. "We are Deeper, we know it all" "Sound doctrines without sound living, unfaithfulness with money, gossip, false accusations, selfishness, godly dressing with ungodly attitudes, disorderly children, partiality, etc.

Pray and examine yourself with God's word and the truth shall set you free.

Amen

WAITING ON GOD: THE MOST EASIEST DIFFICULT THING
One of the most easiest but difficult things in Christian life is not fasting and praying, it is not doing evangelism, and it is not even living a holy life. But is it waiting on the Lord in one area of our lives or the other.

You can see what word "wait" is not a real active word, it is more of passive word, to just wait, doing nothing, just wait. Most times, the waiting here requires nothing than to wait. You are praying about something, and God says He has heard you, but just wait! He doesn't say you should do more prayer and fasting, just wait.

But as much as waiting on the Lord sounds very easy, it is a very difficult thing in Christian life at the same time. That is where so many children of God have missed it in life, in marriage, in ministry, in having children. Many have forfeited God's divine purposes and blessings for their destiny just because they couldn't wait on the Lord.

Listen, I'm not trying to paint waiting on the Lord as so simple, it is not simple or easy at all, that is the reason I called it the Most easiest difficult thing, especially in this 5G generation where everything is moving so fast. In my language, they say, "Ko se duro wo" meaning you can't just stand and be looking at things, you need to do something fast and move on.

Waiting on the Lord is what all children of God experience in different aspects of life will continue to experience. While some are waiting on God to get married, some are waiting on God to get children, and some are waiting on God to get money to take care of the children. Some are wasting on God for admission, some are waiting on God for school fees, some are waiting on God for jobs after graduation. Some are waiting on God for promotion.

Some are waiting on God to travel out, some are waiting on God to travel back home. Some are waiting on God to be employed, some are waiting on God to employ the right people. Last month, I began to pray to God to provide good lesson teachers for my children, and God is leading me to wait.

The more we trust God for every area of our lives, the more we wait on God. But the more we depend on our own wisdom and power, the less we have reasons to wait on God. Why will you want to wait on God if you can choose with your eyes and wisdom?

Because waiting on God is so difficult, that does not mean we should do things by ourselves and follow the wisdom of the world? No! The more you wait on God, the more wonder He turns your life into. You don't need to wait too long for something cheap or junk fast food. But when they are preparing something special, something fresh and rich, delicious with different, different inside, you know? You will need to wait longer.

The same thing is applicable when it comes to waiting on the Lord. Sometimes, only people with special packages wait longer, ask Sarah and Elizabeth. So when God asks us to wait, it means there is something special coming on our way.

Yes, the waiting is not easy, it is so stressful but God has promised us the strength to wait on Him. When you are tired, weak weary of waiting any longer, remember He promised strength for those who wait on Him, so ask for more strength, more grace to wait till your change comes. Wait on the Lord till the end, till your change comes.

"Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."

Isaiah 40:30, 31
