Meditate Through Every Season

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. - Joshua 1:8

Meditation is not a one-time activity; it is a continuous discipline meant to shape your life daily. God’s instruction is clear: meditate on His Word day and night, in every season, good, bad, or uncertain. When you consistently dwell on God’s Word, your thinking aligns with His truth, your decisions become guided by wisdom, and you gain clarity even in difficult situations.

The challenge is that many people abandon meditation during tough times, choosing worry over the Word. But the Word of God is relevant for every situation. Often, the answer you seek is hidden in a scripture you have not yet deeply considered.

Prayer
Father, thank You for Your Word that speaks to every season of my life. Help me to remain consistent in meditation, especially in difficult times. Let Your truth guide my thoughts and actions daily, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The life of a disciple is not meant to be ordinary or boring, it is a supernatural journey marked by God’s power at work. Jesus made it clear that signs follow those who believe.

Key truths:
* You follow God; signs follow you
* The supernatural flows from relationship and belief, not striving
* Your confidence is not in yourself but in the power of His name

When passion for God fades, spiritual dullness sets in. But when you stay engaged—through faith, prayer, and bold obedience—you step into the exciting, purpose-filled life God designed.

This life requires raising your expectations, stepping out in faith beyond comfort, and living with God-confidence, not self-confidence.

Prayer
Father, thank You for calling me into a life of purpose and power. Renew my passion and help me to walk boldly in faith. Teach me to rely fully on Your name and to live out the supernatural life You have given me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Looking critically at the verse that has been our text for this study, you will notice that Jesus said that all the signs will be done in His name. So, if you have believed Him, you will deploy His name to your advantage. Believing in Him means you will stand confidently in His name, address devils, and demonstrate supernatural acts. You will confront those things that people fear and possess those things that people can't.

We are not them that believe and run without His name. Believing in Him doesn't make us self-confident; it makes us God-confident. So, any confidence we have is in what His name can do for us. Be careful that you don't think the supernatural acts are about you and what you can do. It's all about what His name can do. Your assignment is to only believe and deploy His name because you believe in Him.

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your word today. Thank You for showing me that all the supernatural acts happen because I believe in You and stand in Your name. Today I declare that I will enjoy supernatural results in all I do, in Jesus name. Amen.

Many times people try to find out how they lost so much of their passion for the things of God. They can't tell that it was when they began to feel bored about the things of God, that was the first sign. Yes, we are not meant to be led by our feelings, but when you begin to feel less persuaded and excited about God, His children, His church, and His agenda, your fire is going out. You must be watchful and very vigilant, and don't treat any drawback from you as casual.

You must challenge and stretch your mind and your imagination to be more for God and to do more for Him. Stop waiting for trouble to always jolt you back to a life of prayer, studying, and fellowship with God's people. You can do like Peter and say, "if it's You Lord, tell me to come." Dare to take steps that would only take God's involvement to get it done. If your story were to be written and made into a movie, what would it be? A thriller? A soap opera? A comedy? A horror movie? Would there be anything to write at all?

Prayer
Father, I am grateful for another day that You have created to take me further in Your plans and purpose. I am determined to jump out of my boat and walk on water with You. I am ready for the exciting days ahead where I will make a mark on the earth for Your glory, in Jesus name. Amen.

Have you ever wondered what it was like for the disciples of Jesus to be around Him and experience the amazing things He taught and did? Imagine how Peter felt when he walked on water, began sinking, and was rescued by Jesus. Imagine the experience of seeing the 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish multiply. Imagine sitting and hearing the sermon on the mount or how Jesus answered the questions that the Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Scribes asked. Just imagine that whole experience! Life with Jesus is not boring at all.

The works that Jesus did with this unknown men at that time is still speaking today. We are still being inspired by the whole experience of these men with the Savior. How did we get to the point where what we have now seems like a poor photocopy of the original. I think it's because we have lowered our expectations and limited the Holy One of Israel.

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your word today. I can clearly see what amazing life You have called me to. I don't want to live short of what You have in store for me. I want to have a heavenly adventure with You while I am here on earth, in Jesus name. Amen.
