SUNDAY 19TH APRIL 2026. THEME: THE FIGHT FOR OPEN DOORS
(1 Corinthians 16:9)
Minister-Apostle Wyson Bottoman (National Apostle ECG TJNC Abuja, Nigeria).
Text: 1 Corinthians 16:9
A great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
An open door is not the end of the battle—it is often the beginning. Every God-given opportunity attracts opposition. If you don’t contend for it, you may lose it.
What is the Fight of Doors?
It is the spiritual and practical resistance that arises when a valuable opportunity is opened before you.
Doors represent opportunities. When they open, they must be engaged, not ignored.
What happens when you don’t fight for your door?
1. Opportunities are missed
2. Breakthroughs are sabotaged
3. You experience “almost success syndrome”
How do you fight for your open doors?
1. Be Spiritually Alert
Spiritual sensitivity is key. Stay awake in your spirit through prayer, repentance, and alignment with God. What you don’t discern, you can’t defend.
2. Walk in Discernment & Preparation (Esther 4:13–14)
Position yourself. Prepare your heart, mind, and capacity. Destiny moments require readiness.
3. Act with Speed and Obedience
When God speaks—move. Delayed obedience is disobedience. Esther didn’t hesitate; she responded with urgency. Timing is critical.
4. Engage in Warfare Prayers
Opportunities must be defended in prayer. When doors open, contend for them spiritually.
If you don’t fight for your doors, the opposition will fight against them.
Final Charge: (Ephesians 5:16)
Redeem the time. Make the most of every opportunity. Your open door is valuable—fight for it!
Prayer:
“Lord, give me discernment to recognize my doors, strength to contend for them, and grace to walk through them victoriously. Amen.
