Wait Patiently For The Lord

Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord - Psalms 27:14

Child of God, I have good news for you. Heaven sees you completely, the struggles, the tears, the seeming silence, the waiting, and even the questions you are afraid to say out loud are not out of place, they are not meaningless moments drifting through your life without purpose.

Whatever it is you are walking through right now is not wasted, even though it feels heavy beyond words and even if the weight of this season has made your heart tired and almost warm out in ways you cannot fully explain - God hears your heart loudly and clearly.

This one thing is sure - The hand of God is shaping something eternal in places you cannot yet understand. Even when His presence feels distant, He remains near, moving faithfully behind the scenes where your eyes cannot yet perceive and working within circumstances that still look unfinished to you!

This sermon is a call to steadfast faith during difficult times. Waiting on God is not passive idleness; it is an active, confident trust in His timing and purposes. And the instruction to "be strong" acknowledges that waiting is difficult, but promises that God will provide the necessary courage and endurance to keep moving forward. Therefore, wait patiently for the Lord, He is too faithful to fail...

Daily Meditation!

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? - Hebrews 12:7

Hardship is not proof that God has abandoned you. Rather, it is often proof that He loves you enough to shape you in alignment into His will. Just as a loving father corrects and guides His children for their good.

God uses the season of difficulty to mold our hearts, strengthen our faith, and prepare us for the purpose He has set before us eternally!

Same Access Granted

At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart - Matthew 27:51

In the Jerusalem Temple, this heavy curtain separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies, the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence. Tearing it from top to bottom symbolized that Jesus' sacrifice removed the barrier between God and humanity, granting believers direct access to God. Earthquakes in Scripture often represent the presence and power of God. The splitting of rocks highlights the raw physical impact of God's judgment and the defeat of death.

Because of the above incident, believers are given unrestricted access to God's throne of Grace. It is important to note:The throne of Grace represents God’s unmerited favor and love, rather than a seat of judgment. In a similar vein, God's mercy is not getting the punishment we deserve and Grace is getting the help and favour we don't deserve. Similarly, it is important to note that no believer has more access to God than the other.

This is so because Jesus' death on the cross made it possible for anyone to come to God through faith in Him. Those who come through Jesus can come boldly and without fear right into God's presence. The need for the Jewish sacrificial system that God had given to Israel was done with. The perfect and final sacrifice for sin, Jesus Himself, had been made. In both a spiritual and literal sense, the barrier between men and God was removed—by God Himself. Therefore, today believers have direct access to God - no mediator other than Christ required.

For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it,” says the Lord God.’ - Ezekiel 12:25

This Scripture teaches us that God's Word will always come to pass. His patience should not be mistaken for delay or weakness.

This calls us to obey God sincerely, take His warnings seriously, and not assume we have endless time to make amends or change our minds (repent).

Stop Living Like A Fearful Slave In Your Father's Kingdom

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” - Romans 8:15

Two different spirits. Two different mindsets that we can have in our approach to God: we can approach Him as slaves in bo***ge, or we can approach Him as His adopted children. The Bible presents a high view of adoption and uses it to parallel the relationship God wants to have with us. The spirit of slavery views God as a slave owner and we're His trembling subjects. The spirit of adoption views God as a loving Father and we're His beloved sons and daughters.

A spirit of slavery is manifested in legalistic religion. Many cults and even some Christian denominations put such emphasis on rule-keeping that they instill fear and a sense of dread in their members. God is presented as a taskmaster who is never quite satisfied with anything we do. The bar is always set a bit too high, so people find religious activities to keep themselves busy in the hope that God will accept them for their effort. Even those who have been born again through faith in Christ’s sacrifice for their sin (John 3:3) can cling to a spirit of slavery, never realizing the freedom that they have with the Spirit of adoption.

However, a startling contrast is the Spirit of adoption, the Holy Spirit of God who brings us into God’s family. Jesus invited believers to address God as “our Father” [Matthew 6:8-9]. God explained His desire to treat His people as sons and daughters [2 Corinthians 6:18]. God has made this spiritual adoption possible through faith in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ [John 3:16-18; 1:12; 14:6; Romans 8:14]. Based on our faith and confession of allegiance [Romans 10:9-10], God adopts us into His eternal family. He makes us joint heirs together with Jesus Christ [Romans 8:17]. We receive the Spirit of adoption when we accept, by faith, the grace that has been offered to us in Christ [Ephesians 1:5; Romans 8:23; Luke 10:27]. It is the Spirit of adoption who teaches us to call out to God - “Abba, Father.”

There is a vast difference between the way sons serve their fathers and the way slaves serve their masters. Slaves may perform duties; sons perform acts of love. Slaves dutifully obey; sons gladly obey. Slaves are motivated by fear of punishment; sons are motivated by love of relationship. Slaves ask, “What is required?” Sons ask, “What else can I do for you?” The Spirit of adoption changes us from fearful slaves to joyful sons and daughters. The Spirit of adoption allows us to “come boldly before the throne of grace” [Hebrews 4:16] as a beloved child runs to his father in times of trouble. Because of the Spirit of adoption, we can enjoy serving God without fear or obligation. Serving in our Father’s kingdom becomes life’s highest ambition as Ambassadors [2 Corinthians 5:20].

So we can say with confidence, “The lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” - Hebrews 13:6

This verse of the Bible reminds us that God is our present help, so fear of people should not control our choices. In other words, when we trust Him, the pressure to seek approval or avoid rejection begins to lose its power.

This message tends to shift our focus from pleasing people to standing firm in truth with calm confidence to the glory of God.

On A Final Note:

The Word Equips Us For Every Good Work

Paul shares the function of God’s Word in 2 Timothy 3:17: “so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” When we read the Bible, God speaks directly to us by His Holy Spirit, revealing what is right and pleasing to God. He may want to teach us something, correct a decision or action, or equip us to become more like Christ. Within the body of Christ, God’s Word teaches us how to love and build each other up in the faith.

King David knew the preciousness of God’s Word when he declared, “I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you” - Psalm 119:10-11.

When God’s Word gets into our hearts and minds, it becomes our strength and weapon when facing temptation to sin or do evil. Remember when Jesus was tempted by the devil? He used the Word of God to defeat the enemy and so should we: It is written - Matthew 4:4.

Because we are equipped and empowered by the Word, we must spend time in Scripture each day — join a Bible study group, memorize and meditate on Scripture, and practice journaling so we can live by one book - the Bible.

Scripture is God-breathed, revealing to us God’s will, which has the authority to direct our lives. The power of the Word is that it can transform us not inform us. While some books inform and others reform, only the Bible can transform. Genuine believers who live in the power of God’s Word are led to live the life of Christ on earth.

Daily Meditation!

The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters - Job 42:12-13

This clearly shows that God's restoration is real and always far better than the former, but it comes on His terms, not ours.

Therefore, Job's life was rebuilt after deep loss, not because he chased blessing but because he stayed grounded when everything fell apart.

Daily Meditation!

Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord or fully declare his praise? Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right - Psalm 106:1-3

The Psalmist encourages us to choose gratitude even when it is not easy, trust that God's greatness goes beyond what you can fully understand, and let that shape how you live and relate with Him.

It's time to act with fairness, integrity, and consistency in your daily choices. Real faith shows in both a thankful heart, right choices and actions!

The Word Of God Is Not For Information, But For Transformation - 001

The Bible is not a literature, historic text book, nor the chronicles of any nation. It is the written WORD of GOD to all people. Genuine followers of God believe in the authority of God’s Word, both the Old and New Testaments. This is because they are inspired, infallible and superior to all human knowledge and authority.

This is so because: God’s Word didn’t originate with any human person, but persons spoke and wrote as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit [2 Peter 1:20-21]. Although written by different persons and at different times throughout history, the Word has been transmitted to us without corruption of any essential truth.

While God has revealed Himself in part through His creation and human conscience [Psalm 19:1-6, Romans 1:20], He chose to reveal His love, infinite mercy and glorious plan of salvation through the Holy Bible. Both the Old and New Testaments reveal that eternal life is offered ultimately through Christ, the only mediator between God and humanity.

The Word of God is eternal. The prophet Isaiah proclaims, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever” [Isaiah 40:8]. In this ever-changing world, this is Good News! We need the unchanging Word of God. It’s a sure thing, steadfast, true and dependable. We can trust and live by it for it will never pass away.

The Apostle Paul in writing to Timothy shares the purpose and power of God’s Word:

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work [2 Timothy 3:14-17].
