RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD.

FRIDAY AUGUST 14 2026

YOU’RE A SPIRIT BEING
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

To live effectively as a Christian, you must understand your true nature and identity. If you define yourself merely by what you see in the mirror or what you feel in your body, you’ll be limited to the natural realm. But the Word reveals something deeper: you’re a spirit being, created in the image of God, living in a body, and expressing yourself through a soul.

This is foundational to understanding your life in Christ. The Bible says, “…the body without the spirit is dead…” (James 2:26). The real you is the spirit. The body is the house where the spirit lives. When the spirit departs, the body ceases to function. It may still be complete in form, but it’s lifeless, because the real person, the spirit, is gone.

This is why you’re not to relate to life through your senses; live from inside out. Don’t try to reach God externally; relate to Him from your spirit; you’re alive to Him from your spirit. Jesus said, “...that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6). When you were born again, your spirit was recreated. You didn’t become a spirit; you were always a spirit. But now, you’re a God-born spirit, alive with eternal life.

The Apostle Paul also affirms, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Romans 8:6). Your life is designed to be lived from the spirit, not from the senses. Many struggle because they’re more conscious of their body than their spirit; no! Live from your spirit. Speak from your spirit.

Your spirit knows God; that’s where the light of God is, that’s where the Holy Spirit lives. You’re one spirit with the Lord. The Bible says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). Live with this consciousness that you’re a spirit being, alive with the life of God. Therefore, today, express His nature and the fullness of His life in you.

Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, you are great and greatly to be praised; thank you for the life of Christ in me. I’m alive unto you and unto the realities of the Kingdom. I live from my spirit, expressing your life and nature; therefore, I walk in victory, dominion and excellence in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD.

THURSDAY AUGUST 06 2026

A CONSCIOUS AWARENESS
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life… (1 John 5:13).

In our previous study, we learnt about the testimony, the witness, the undeniable reality that God has given us eternal life, and “this life” is in the Son. Whoever has the Son has life. In today’s study, observe something beautiful about God’s intention: He wants you to be consciously aware that you have eternal life.

That awareness is vital because when you’re aware of a truth, you act accordingly. So, you ought to know with certainty that you have eternal life, not when you get to heaven but NOW! There’s a difference between having something and being conscious of it. You may possess a reality and yet not live in the good of it because you’re not aware.

Think about it: if you’re told something is extremely hot, even without touching it, you’ll handle it with caution. That awareness influences your actions. In the same way, when you become conscious that you have eternal life, it changes how you think, how you speak, and how you live.

You’re not a human being trying to acquire the divine life, no; you were born divine, being born of God: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13). It helps you understand why He said through the psalmist, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalms 82:6).

Take a hold of this truth. Refuse to be more conscious of the human life that’s subject to fear, limitations and the elements of this world. The Word says, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2 Peter 1:4). The life in you is the transcendent life. When you’re conscious of it, your life will be the proof of its reality. You’ll manifest the God-life naturally, effortlessly and consistently.

Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, I thank you for my eternal life in Christ Jesus. I live with the consciousness that I have the God-life now, and I walk in this reality every day. Eternal life in me produces victory, excellence and dominion in Christ Jesus. Amen.

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐃𝐒 𝐁𝐄 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍…

⚫️Desire, when it has conceived brings forth, it happens naturally without force.

⚫️Ecclesiastes 11:3:
—⭐️📖“If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth...”

⚫️Water ev***rates from the earth’s surface and rises up to form v***r, which condenses and finally comes back as rain.

⚫️No one needs to go up into the sky to force the clouds to release the rains. When they are full they release naturally.

⚫️In Genesis 2:4-6,9 we read,
—⭐️📖“These are the generations of the heav- ens and the earth when they were created, in the day that they LORD God made the earth and the heavens, (At this time God was speak- ing creation into being)
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had NOT CAUSED IT TO RAIN upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground... And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleas- ant to the sight, and good for food...”

⚫️When God spoke the Word, it came into be- ing in the spirit as a seed.

⚫️Jesus said, “...the seed is the Word” (Luke 8:11).

⚫️But the seed has to grow.

⚫️And how does it grow?

⚫️By the rains coming down on it.

⚫️So after you have spoken the Word to change your circumstances, after meditating by the spirit, this ‘word-seed’ has to be watered in order to grow.

⚫️You may say, “The rain falls when it wills’ but that’s not true.

⚫️The rain does not just fall; the clouds have to be watered first. And you’re the one to water those clouds.

⚫️Yes, the Bible says, “when the clouds be full of rain they empty them- selves upon the earth” But you’re responsible for ‘watering your clouds.’

⚫️Isaiah 55: 10 - 11:
—⭐️📖“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: SO SHALL MY WORD BE that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accom- plish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

⚫️You ‘water your clouds’ with the Word of God.

⚫️What kind of situations and circumstances do you want to prevail in your home?

⚫️Begin to speak them into being using the Word of God.

⚫️The Bible says, “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwell- ing” (Psalm 91:10).

⚫️Quit complaining and start ‘watering your clouds.’

⚫️The situation may not change overnight, but the Word would certainly prosper in that which it has been sent.

⚫️For how long do you have to water your clouds?

⚫️For as long as it takes the clouds to be full and to pour down as rain!

⚫️You don’t have to wait for the circumstances to look okay before you speak.

⚫️In fact it’s when they’re not you should speak the more.

⚫️Ecclesiastes 11: 4, 6:
—⭐️“He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap... In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, ei- ther this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.”

⚫️So when things look okay and when they don’t, at all times, water your clouds!

⚫️Some people constantly complain about their businesses, their jobs or their children.

⚫️And that’s because they’re ignorant of the fact that they’re not only watering the wrong seeds, but they’re also watering wrongly.

⚫️Constant complaints will bring about negative confessions, which will eventually bring forth after their kind.

⚫️You can affect the future of your growing child. You can destroy the peace and tranquility in your home and marriage through your negative words.

⚫️I once read of a tradition of Jewish moth- ers: That everyday as their children grew, they would speak God’s blessings upon their lives and confess His Word on them.

⚫️The result was that apart from causing these children to become more confident as they grew up, the words actually fol- lowed them and caused them to prosper.

⚫️So start sowing the right seeds and keep watering them with your confessions and you will surely reap the right fruits.

✅Hallelujah!!!

THE REALITY OF HIS BENEVOLENCE

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works (Psalm 145:9).

Did you know that God is more willing to do you good than you could ever be willing to receive it? He’s more ready to help you in any situation, more eager to supply whatever you need in abundance. And beyond your needs, He delights to give you what you want.

Some people say, “God gives you what you need but not what you want.” That’s not true. The problem is that many don’t know how to ask, and then they don’t know how to receive. But the Bible teaches us both—how to ask and how to receive. The Lord Jesus said in John 16:24, “…ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

Practice this and you’ll live in superabundance; an overflow. It’s been my experience in life: I receive whatever I want so much so that my challenge is not to desire anything too much, because if I want something, I get it. And you can be sure it won’t come in trickles but in abundance. Sometimes when things come to me like that, I say, “Lord, this is too much. I didn’t mean it like that!” Butthat’s the reality of His benevolence.

What’s benevolence? It’s God’s benefaction. It’s His disposition to be good to you, always willing to bless you, always willing to grant the desires of your heart. It’s His constant readiness to do you good, to help you, to lift you. You never have to qualify for it. This is one of the blessings of the Holy Spirit in your life. He does it because He loves you in Christ Jesus.

What I’m sharing with you isn’t only scriptural; it’s practical. Put it to work. Walk in the consciousness of God’s benevolence towards you. You’ll discover that you never have to struggle for anything. Things will start happening suddenly for you. The angels will be responding to your desires faster than the speed of thought. That’s how generous God is. He’s gracious, loving and kind. His goodness toward you is unfailing.

Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, I thank you for your goodness and benevolence towards me. I walk in the consciousness of your blessings, provisions, increase and superabundance. My life is a testimony of your kindness and generosity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

WEDNESDAY JULY 29 2026

HE’S IN YOU AND WITH YOU

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9).

I recall the story of a certain minister who placed two chairs on his platform in church. He said one chair was for him and the other for the Holy Spirit. Whenever he wanted to fellowship with the Holy Spirit, he would sit down on his chair and say, “Holy Spirit, that’s your chair," as though the Holy Spirit would sit down for them to begin a discussion.

It sounded like a nice thing to do but that's not how God wants us to think about fellowship with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in you, not outside you. The Lord Jesus said to His disciples, “…he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:17). In other words, while He was with them, God's plan and purpose was for the Holy Spirit to enter into them and live in them.

On the day of Pentecost, the Bible says there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost…" (Acts 2:4). From that day, the Holy Spirit entered into them to live in them. That's what has happened with you if you have received the Holy Spirit. He’s not sitting in a chair close to you. No.

He’s with you, in you, and all around you. It’s the reason you can hear His voice from inside you and from outside. How glorious your life would be if you’d constantly and consciously have fellowship with the Holy Spirit! Fellowship is intimacy with Him: knowing Him and relating with Him. It’s a sharing together; He's no longer a stranger to you but one with whom you relate from your heart.

Always share your heart with him about anything and everything. Bring the consciousness of His presence and His love into your daily walk, into your life. Be ever mindful of His amazing ministry in your life. Talk with Him like He's a living being because He is. Relate with Him like someone who’s ever present with you because He's right there, and He hears you. Have discussions with Him. Share your thoughts with Him knowing that He cares deeply about you and always wants the best for you.

Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, I thank you for the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in me. I enjoy rich fellowship with Him, walking in constant communion, guidance and intimacy. I am conscious of His presence, and I receive direction, wisdom and strength always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD.

SUNDAY JULY 26 2026

GRACE AND TRUTH ARE REVEALED IN HIM
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17).

When the Bible says the Law was given by Moses, it doesn’t mean Moses originated the Law. God Almighty gave it to him, and Moses gave it to the people. It was God's Law as delivered through Moses. In the same vein, the grace and truth that came by Jesus Christ is God's grace and God's truth.

Recall the prayer of the Lord Jesus Christ in John 17:17. He said to the Father, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” God's Word is truth. Therefore, when the Bible says grace and truth came by Jesus Christ, it refers to the grace of God and the truth of God that came by Jesus Christ.

In our previous study, we examined the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the grace of God expressed towards us in the life, ministry, sacrificial death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That grace is with you. Glory to God! That’s the lovingkindness of God in manifestation. That’s His favour in operation in your life.

That grace brought us into the righteousness of God and fellowship with God in Christ Jesus. Herein is the Gospel of Jesus Christ—a message that gives life to the one who was once dead and separated from God. The Bible says in Romans 5:17: “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

That means those who have received His grace and truth will always be on top, always be in dominion. It's like when God blessed the children of Israel and said, “...you shall be above only and not be beneath...” (Deuteronomy 28:13 NKJV). Now in Christ Jesus, you’re above only and never beneath. Hallelujah!

That's why He wants you to know about this grace and live in the reality of it. He desires that this all-promoting grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you in your journey of life. As you take it with you and put it to work, it will make you super successful, and your life will be an amazing wonder.

Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, I thank you for your grace and truth revealed in Jesus Christ. I walk in the fullness of your grace, enjoying righteousness, dominion and unending victory. Your grace is at work in me, causing me to reign in life and walk in excellence always. My life is a manifestation of your favour and truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THURSDAY JULY 23 2026

DIVINE DESTINY

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).

Did you know God never created anything without a purpose? For every human being, there’s an earthly destiny and a divine destiny. An earthly destiny is just what it is—earthly. It’s influenced by such factors as who your parents are, where you were born and raised, your friends, relatives, and everywhere you invest time. All these would have an impact on you.

The books you read, the films you watch, and all the information you digest, they shape your natural destiny. But there’s another destiny, the divine destiny, and it supersedes any earthly destiny. With that divine destiny, it doesn’t matter what these other factors are, they’ll not determine what you become. They lose their power to define you. God introduces a higher life that overrides background, limitations, and human circumstances.

For this divine destiny to become your real life experience, God tells you what to do. He gives you instructions and guidance so that the earthly destiny will not rule your life or determine the circumstances of your existence. The Word of God is the instrument by which you’re aligned with that higher purpose.

The Bible reveals that God’s plan is always good and for your good. His plan for you is great. He is great Himself, and He can only raise great men and women. That’s the way it works with Him. He cannot reproduce a failure. He can only reproduce a success. He can only reproduce royalty. So, when you follow His Word and walk in His guidance, the divine destiny becomes your reality, and the earthly influences lose their hold.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for your divine purpose for my life which is higher than every earthly influence. I walk in the light of your Word, guided by your Spirit, fulfilling the destiny you ordained for me. I refuse to be limited by earthly background or circumstances, for I am the product of your greatness and the expression of your will, in Jesus Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD.

SUNDAY JULY 19 2026

OUR MUTUAL FAITH

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong—that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith (Romans 1:11-12 NKJV).

In our opening scripture, the Apostle Paul reveals a profound spiritual principle: in the Kingdom of God, faith is not always one-directional; there’s such a thing as mutual faith, faith responding to faith, faith working together to produce results.
Paul, though an apostle with extraordinary grace, didn’t see himself as the only one with faith or the only one bringing the “supply.” He recognised that as he ministered to the saints in Rome, there would also be a supply coming from them to him. It reminds of what the Bible says: the body grows by that which every joint supplies (Ephesians 4:16).

Every member has a supply, something to contribute. And when those supplies come together, the Body is strengthened. This is what mutual faith produces: shared participation in spiritual realities. When faith responds to faith, something happens in the realm of the Spirit. There’s an activation, a release, an unhindered flow of the Spirit of God. Ministry becomes more effective because of the unity and synchrony of our mutual faith. This is why your response matters. Remember, faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

When the Word is being taught, respond; engage your spirit. The Bible says, “For unto us was the gospel preached… but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it” (Hebrews 4:2). The Word must be met with faith to produce results. Paul says, “...that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me” (Romans 1:12).

That word “comforted” means strengthened, encouraged, built up. Both the one ministering and the one receiving are edified. Now, there’s something else that comes out of this—unity. When there’s a flow of the Spirit, especially through signs and wonders, it produces a certain kind of unity among God’s people.

Those who walk in the miraculous understand it’s not by human ability. They recognise their dependence on God. As a result, they learn to honour the grace of God in others. This is why those who function in the Spirit walk in greater unity. They’re not quick to criticise or tear others down. They recognise the same hand of God at work. Mutual faith, therefore, is not just about receiving; it’s about alignment, honour, and unity in the Spirit.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for the spirit of faith at work in me. I respond actively to your Word and to the ministration of the Spirit. I honour the grace of God in others and walk in unity, humility and power. My faith is effective, producing tangible results and establishing your will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE POWER OF IMPARTATION

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established (Romans 1:11).

The Apostle Paul makes a remarkable statement in his letter to the Romans. He says, “...I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift…” (Romans 1:11). This reveals something vital: spiritual gifts can be imparted. This wasn’t a casual desire for Paul; it was a consciousness of divine ability. He knew that when he came to them, something would be transmitted. He goes further to say, “that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me” (Romans 1:12).

This means the impartation would take place through the working together of their faith; his faith and theirs. The things of the Spirit don’t happen by chance; they are activated by faith—conscious, active faith. Notice something else: Paul didn’t say, “When I come, we’ll pray and ask God to give you something.” No. He spoke from the standpoint of what had already been made available in Christ.

This is the same understanding we have today. For example, when we minister to people to receive the Holy Spirit, we don’t beg God. The Bible says, “…how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” (Luke 11:13). Therefore, we minister with certainty and declare, “Be filled with the Holy Ghost,” because it’s already God’s will. Hallelujah!

The Bible also says, “Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands…” (1 Timothy 4:14). Furthermore, in 2 Timothy 1:6, Paul said, “…stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” These show clearly that there’s a transmission of spiritual endowment. But notice the purpose as read in our opening scripture, “…to the end ye may be established.” Such impartations bring stability. They strengthen you and build you up in your walk with God.

Therefore, value moments of spiritual intimacy and impartation. When the Word is taught, when hands are laid on you, and when there’s an atmosphere of faith, open your spirit and respond with faith; that’s how you receive. Also, grow in your own consciousness of the Spirit. You’re not limited; you’re a channel of blessing. You can minister life, grace and spiritual endowments to others as you yield to the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life and the impartations I receive from your Word that strengthen and establish me in the faith. I walk in the consciousness of the power of the Holy Spirit at work in me, as a channel of blessing to others, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FRIDAY JULY 17 2026

BRING YOUR BODY UNDER SUBJECTION

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

Having understood that your spirit is the Most Holy Place and must take the lead, with your soul trained to follow, there’s one more vital area to address: your body. Your body doesn’t automatically align with the life of God in your spirit; it must be brought under control.

That’s why the Word says, “…present your bodies a living sacrifice…” (Romans 12:1). God has done His part in recreating your spirit but the yielding of your body, presenting it to Him as a living sacrifice, is your responsibility. The Apostle Paul gives further insight: “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection…” (1 Corinthians 9:27).

This means the body must be disciplined and trained to align with your spirit. The body has its tendencies; it responds to sensations, appetites and external stimuli. It wants to act based on what it feels. But you’re a spirit being, not a body; you live in a body. Therefore, you can’t let your senses rule you. The Bible says, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die…” (Romans 8:13).

To live after the flesh is to be governed by the body and its impulses, but that’s not your life. You live by the Spirit, and as the concluding part of Romans 8:13 declares, “…if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” That means through the Holy Ghost, you put to death the activities of the body, override its impulses, and bring it into alignment with God’s will and purpose.

This isn’t suppression; it’s mastery. Your spirit, one with the Holy Spirit and filled with the life of God, takes charge. Your soul, renewed by the Word, agrees. Then your body is brought into obedience. This is the complete order of the Christian life: spirit, soul and body in alignment with the Word of God.

Don’t let your body dictate your life or control your responses. Whether it’s weakness, appetite, or any form of pressure; take charge from your spirit. Present your body to God. Make it serve His purpose. If you feel symptoms of sickness, declare, “No! My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; therefore, it’s immune to sickness, disease and infirmities.” Refuse to allow sickness in your body; it’s part of keeping your body aligned and yielded to God.

PRAYER / CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for your life and glory in me. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I present it as a living sacrifice, bringing it under subjection to your will and ways. I refuse to be governed by the senses or natural impulses. I walk in sync with the Spirit, aligned with your perfect will at all times, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
