Burn the Bridges!

You haven't come this far to turn back now. You didn't come this far to get tired now. It's forward ever only in this race. If our Fathers and Mothers of old had considered where they were coming from, if they still had it in mind, if they still thought the lives they were leading before they were called was worth living, if they had not completely burnt their bridges, they - at any given opportunity- would have gone back. They would have tired easily and given up. (Hebrews 11:13-16)

But we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, so let us lay aside every weight that easily besets, every feeling of missing the old man/life and run with endurance and determination the race that is set before us.

Eyes front, feet forward, hands on the Plough and Onward Christian Soldier!

Many of us have a culture of prayer but not a posture of letting go. So that we can pray about our worries, pains, frustrations, disappointments, needs but never truly surrender them to the Lord. We still hold on to them, we still fret over them. But the Bible in 1 Peter 5:7 says,

Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you. (TPT)

Trust the Lord with that issue, trust him with that pain, trust him with that disappointment. Trust that He can and will fix it. So the next time you go before the Lord in the place of Prayer, whether right now, tonight or tomorrow, pour out all of your worries upon Him and leave them there! He tenderly cares for you.

You cannot build anything that would last in God without the foundation of prayer.

Last week we came together to read the book, Daniel Nash: The Prevailing Prince of Prayer, a book that showed us a man who devoted his life to prayer and because of that devotion, witnessed miracles and great revivals in his time.

If we must build anything that would last in God, then we must build with a foundation of prayer. If we would see great revivals break out in our time, we must pray and be consistent in the place of Prayer. If the Kingdom of God must come and His Will be done as it is in Heaven, then we must pray. If we would have lasting converts in our day and time, then we must pray. If we want to know God's will and purpose for our lives, then we must pray.

And while Prayer is key, consistency and focus in the place of Prayer are things we must strive for. If our prayers would be effective, then spending time with the Father consistently in the secret place is very important. Even the Apostles of Old continued in steadfast Prayer (Acts 2:42)..why shouldn't you?

Desire and take actionable steps to become a Man/Woman of Prayer and see how the Lord would pour out His Spirit of Supplication upon you.

We invite you to take stock of your Spirit life today.

How is your Spirit Man? Is the voice of the Holy Spirit still relevant in your ears? Do you still enjoy fellowship with Him? Are you still praying? If no, are you aware that your Prayer Life is down? Is the Old man still very much present and active in your life? Do you still spend time with the Word of the Lord?

Search your heart and answer truthfully and let your answers lead you to the feet of the Father in prayer.

May the Lord lead you this month to those who you would build and those who would build you too. Amen.

In Him was Life and the that life was the Light of men. When we received Jesus, we recieved His life and consequently His Light.

We are Light bearers. Glory to God in the highest but the emphasis of this post it to call your attention to your responsibility as a Light bearer.

There are 4Ps we interact with as human beings daily:
1. People
2. Places
3. Positions
4. Platforms

We don't all know the same people or places, neither do we all have the same positions and platforms BUT we have all received the same LIFE and LIGHT of God. Therefore, let your Light shine with the people you know. Let it shine in the places you know. Use the position and platform you have to shine the light of God.

As with the crystal photo attached to this post; white Light is shone into it on one end but it is expressed in diverse colours on the other end, so are we to express the life and Light of God with our 4Ps.

The glory of the Lord must cover the earth as water cover the sea. Light bearers must arise to their responsibility.

Don't procrastinate anymore. The time is now. Let's take the world for Jesus one soul at a time.
