Romans 12:2 AMPC
[2] Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

One of the effective way to stop a bad habit is by replacing such bad habits with good ones. Today's scripture talks about us renewing our mind and renewing of our mind doesn't happen within a day but it is a constant consistent practice and how we can renew our mind is by consuming the word of God daily and without ceasing. God's word renews our mind faster than any self help book we can find because it is the best manual for our lives and daily consumption of his word equals daily renewal of your mind.

‎By constantly wrapping yourself around God's word and obeying it your life becomes pure( better). your evil and sinful nature begins to disappear while you begin to live in the nature of your creator and father which will eventually lead to eternal life.
‎Just reading the word of God daily won't be enough, it's constant practice of the light we get from scriptures that makes us better children of God.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. ‭Psalms 46:1 NIV‬

The word of God has a strengthening ability. It has a way of inducing strength into ones spirit and body.

The word of God possesses a strong presence that energizes the spirit and body, especially when it's been confessed.

No wonder the scripture says, The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 NIV‬

In your down cast moments, the word of God is the strengthener that you need. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you will mount up like the eagle that you're.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same(word) was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him(The word); and without him was not any thing made that was made. ‭John 1:1-3 KJV‬

The word of God is a creator, you can create reality with the word. God created with the word and he gave us the word also to create with it.

Mind you, you can quote the word and not create reality with it. You can only create with the word when you recognize him as a creator.

Create a reality today by not just quoting the scripture but quoting with the consciousness that the word has life and paint the pictures, the reality you desire in your heart without doubt.

[16] All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, [17] that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.{ESV}.

If you were gifted an equipment that you've never used before you'll definitely need to read the manual of that equipment to set it up and know how to use it.
The same thing goes for the word of God ( The Bible). When we receive salvation, we're then given the word of God as a manual to guide us on how to live.
The last part of 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says " that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work". The bible makes us complete and it equips us for every good work God has for us and the only way we can be complete is by dwelling constantly on God's word and then obeying it.

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

Matthew 7:24
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, _I will liken him unto a wise man_ , which built his house upon a rock:

After your have studied or listened to the word of God, we should carry them out, apply them in our day-to-day activities and soon they'll become part of us.

We shouldn't stop at studying but rather, becoming what the scripture says about us.

A wise man is one that does what the Word says.

Reading the bible is not just an activity that makes your devotion, but a meaningful spiritual discipline. That will help us in our journey as christians, and also to know who we've been called to serve.

Joshua 1:8 (NIV) says:
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

This scripture is not only to Joshua, but also to our generation and generations to come.
So the Word shows us what to do, how to get things done, who we are, also who God is.
Make the Word your best friend.

Reading the bible is not just an activity that makes your devotion, but a meaningful spiritual discipline. That will help us in our journey as christians, and also to know who we've been called to serve.
