WHEN FAITH LOOKS FOOLISH (Edited)

Living by faith often appears foolish to the world. Noah built an ark before a single drop of rain fell (Genesis 6:13-22). Abraham left his homeland without knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8). The Israelites marched around Jericho instead of attacking it (Joshua 6:1-20). Over and over, God’s instructions defied human logic.

Faith is not about seeing; it’s about trusting. When Peter stepped out of the boat to walk on water, logic said he would sink (Matthew 14:28-29). When David faced Goliath with a sling and stones, common sense said he would fail (1 Samuel 17:45-50). But faith does not rely on earthly reasoning; it depends on God’s power.

Faith is not blind; it is anchored in God’s Word. While it may seem irrational at times, faith always proves right in the end. Noah’s ark floated. Abraham became the father of nations. The walls of Jericho fell. And Jesus, who looked defeated on the cross, rose again in victory.

If living by faith makes you look foolish, you’re in good company. Trust God, even when it doesn’t make sense. Because what seems foolish to man is often the very wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:25).
