What do Billy Graham, Campus Crusade for Christ founder Bill Bright, Young Life founder Jim Rayburn, and the Navigators founder Dawson Trotman have in common? The answer is a Sunday school teacher named Henrietta Mears. When Henrietta was thirty-eight years old, she moved to Hollywood, California. She taught Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church, and she eventually attracted an astounding attendance of 6,500 students. For four decades, she faithfully devoted herself to her passion of building a cradle-to-grave Sunday school. She also started a publishing company called Gospel Light and a successful conference centre called Forest Home.

Additionally, she wrote a book, What the Bible Is All About, which has sold more than three million copies. It is impossible to estimate how many millions of people have heard the gospel through this woman and the Christian leaders she mentored and moulded for God. Take the ministry of just one of her students, Bill Bright. He started Campus Crusade for Christ, which at last count had 20,000 full-time staff plus 663,000 trained volunteers in 181 countries. Largely due to The Jesus Film project, Bill Bright's organisation has reached over 3.4 billion people with the gospel - half the world's population.

Now you may not influence millions, but you may influence one person who ends up influencing many others. Andrew, one of the twelve disciples, brought his brother Peter to Jesus, and Peter ended up bringing multitudes to him. You can make a difference. All you have to do is make yourself available to God.

Today, I celebrate God’s faithfulness in my life.
Happy Birthday to me — a chosen vessel, an Apostle, and a Bond-servant of the Most High God. I return all the glory to God for His grace, mercy, and the privilege to serve in His vineyard.

Through every season, He has been my strength, my guide, and my reward. I am grateful for the call, the growth, the battles He has won for me, and the lives He continues to touch through me.

This new year, I step into greater dimensions of power, wisdom, and divine assignment. My oil will not run dry. My voice will not be silenced. My impact will increase.

Lord, take all the glory for all You have done, all You are doing, and all You will do.

Happy Birthday to me — God’s servant, God’s vessel, God’s own.

Colossians 2:15 states, "He disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public spectacle, triumphing over them in the cross." This means that Jesus, through his death on the cross, disarmed, humiliated, and triumphed over the powers of demons and spiritual authorities. The cross is like a victory parade, where Christ disarmed the dark powers and their hold on believers, turning defeat into victory.

Key Aspects of Colossians 2:15:
"Disarmed" (Stripped): Christ disarmed the spiritual powers (sin, guilt, fear of death) that had kept humanity captive.

"Public Spectacle" (Made a Show): Jesus humiliated the dark powers, showing them to be defeated for all to see, like a triumphal procession in the Roman Empire.

"Triumphing Over Them": The cross is not just the atonement for our sins, but Christ's victory over the powers, turning their victory upside down.

This verse is meant to give believers confidence and reassurance that they need not fear the powers of demons, as they have been defeated anyway. The "principalities and powers" (the evil powers) have only the power to deceive, and that is broken through the truth of the cross.
