I have someone who has this twisted mindset about giving. There's a family that helped him and always tries to help his family, and he will be like 'Dem get that's why they are helping' funny thing is that he is always fond of saying so. And I am always quick to correct that truncated mindset of his whenever he mentions it.
That someone stretches a hand to you and gives you something or helps you financially doesn't mean they have it all, it only means they have the heart to do good and see you being better.
I have seen wealthy people who won't shake their body to give a dime, does it make them poor? No. They don't just have the heart to give.
And I have seen people who are not 'yet there' but are willing to help others to their feet. And this mature human being would look at them and say 'won ni' meaning they have, that's why they are helping.
When someone stretches his or her hands to help you, just be grateful that the fellow has a great heart to render the help needed.
