Psalm 91.

91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

91:2I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

91:3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[a] And from the perilous pestilence.

91:4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

91:5You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

91:6Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

91:7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.

91:8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.

91:9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

91:10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

91:12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

91:13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

91:14“ Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

91:15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

91:16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth,
While the evil days come not,
Nor the years draw nigh,
When thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

“While the sun,
Or the light,
Or the moon,
Or the stars,
Be not darkened,
Nor the clouds return after the rain:

“In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble,
And the strong men shall bow themselves,
And the grinders cease because they are few,
And those that look out of the windows be darkened,
And the doors shall be shut in the streets,
“When the sound of the grinding is low,
And he shall rise up at the voice of the bird,
And all the daughters of music shall be brought low;

“Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high,
And fears shall be in the way,
“And the almond tree shall flourish,
And the grasshopper shall be a burden,
And desire shall fail:

“Because man goeth to his long home,
And the mourners go about the streets:
“Or ever the silver cord be loosed,
Or the golden bowl be broken,
Or the pitcher be broken at the fountain,
Or the wheel broken at the cistern.

“Then shall the dust return to the earth
As it was:
And the spirit shall return unto God
Who gave it.”
