*”The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.“*

*MESSAGE*
_*”Hasty” or “Haste” is a word we sometimes use joyfully. We sometimes say “I am in haste to catch the bus”, especially when we consider that we are running late for a program or work. With our ‘African Time’ mentality, especially in Nigeria, people are often in haste to meet up with activities when they are running late. The Bible, however, does not consider the word haste or hasty as a pleasant word or action that we should follow. When you are in haste you can never come up with good solutions or judgment on a matter. A person who is hasty, most often, is not thoughtful as he act too quickly without careful thought.*_
_in our main scripture, we are told that hasty feet’s leads to poverty, and that when we act hastily we are most certainly going to miss the way. The TPT puts it more succinctly “The best way to live is with revelation-knowledge, for without it, you’ll grow impatient and run right into error.” (https://bible.com/bible/1849/pro.19.2.TPT). When you act hastily you are prone to error in your decisions_
_*As foolish as foolishness, the Bible says there is more hope for a fool than one who is hasty in his words. (Prov. 29:20). Always give careful consideration to whatever you want to do before doing it. Hasty decisions are, most often, devoid of knowledge and it is not good. This is why those who are hasty miss the way and end up in poverty. But for a moment of thoughtful consideration the Prodigal son would have missed his way completely after hastily grabbing his inheritance from his father. It is your diligent plans, therefore, that will lead to profit in your vocation and not your hasty decisions*_

*Lord Jesus, I am aware that you were not hasty in any of your decisions. You carefully followed the plan of salvation, diligently, until you arrived at the cross where you paid the ultimate sacrifice. Impart unto me the grace to be diligent and to give careful consideration before taking any action, in your mighty name. Amen 🙏🏿_*
