THE DRESSING LIFE OF DEDICATED BELIEVERS
Word Capsule: "Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— 4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:3-4)
THE CAPSULE
Greetings of victory, in Jesus' name!
The Lord will come through for you this week, and He will answer every one of your questions. You will walk out of shame and disgrace this week, in Jesus' name!
The way dedicated believers dress is very important, as we often say, "The way you dress is the way you will be addressed."
The way we dress plays a vital role in our lives as believers, revealing a great deal about us before we speak.
People dress any way they want today, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between believers and non-believers by their dress.
A school of thought believes that what they wear and how they dress does not matter because God is only concerned about the inner man.
This statement is relative and not absolute, as God is both concern about our inner and outer man. Our dressing must not betray or contradict the state of our inner man.
A truly dedicated believer should not wear the attire of a harlot and claim that his or her inner man is happy. A dedicated believer who exposes his or her body betrays the inner man.
A truly dedicated believer should dress with modesty, humility, and neatness.
How we dress should respect our bodies as a temple, avoid drawing prideful or sensual attention, and reflect an inner heart of reverence and good character rather than worldly flashiness.
Dedicated believers should choose clean, well-fitting clothes that cover the body properly without being tight, revealing, or suggestive.
We should avoid expensive, flashy, or loud designer outfits meant to show off wealth or status, and putting others into consideration should be our focus.
As dedicated believers, we should wear neat and respectable clothing suited for the daily task or gathering.
Above all, we should let our primary beauty come from a gentle, kind spirit and good deeds rather than external decoration.
If our dressing takes people away from God and the knowledge of Christ, and if it betrays our inner man and what we confess as believers, then we should think twice.
MY PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY
May your dressing not question what you confess to believe and declare!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Your life and the way you dress will continue to radiate the glory of God, in Jesus' name!
