Many people think miracles are just healing experiences because, most times in miracle services, we focus so much on observable testimonies and the high number of sicknesses healed. As a result, we may unconsciously be conditioned to believe that miracles are only healings. However, there are other aspects of miracles that we need to know.
โข Miracles will always look like a lie to those who do not know how they happen.
โข Titus 2:11; 2 Corinthians 9:8
God is not just able to make grace appear to all men; He is able to make all grace abound towards you the grace for healing, spiritual stability, growth, finances, etc. So if people do not receive miracles, it is not because the grace for that miracle is meant for some people. It is for all men (believers).
People have questions as to why they feel God intentionally encounters some people and leaves others. The conclusion of this matter is that our God is good, and this is the first thing every believer must come to terms with. God is good, and there is nothing He does that is evil. It is not a function of what He does; it is a function of who He is. Nahum 1:7.
LIMITATIONS TO RECEIVING MIRACLES
Now that we have established that God is not the reason we do not experience miracles, there are factors that limit our access to them:
1. The Faith Problem (Acts 14:8; Matthew 13):
You must learn to differentiate faith as a state of the heart, and not just a declaration. People can declare what they do not believe. Just because you believe God can change your story does not mean you believe He will change your story. Unbelief can deny you access to miracles.
2. The Vessel Problem:
Before blaming God for not healing you, consider that the vessel you believe God will use may not be prepared for that assignment. The unpreparedness of the vessel can delay the manifestation of the declared word of God. Also the vessel may also be unclean, corrupt, or impure.
3. Giving Up Early (Luke 18:1):
Inconsistency can determine speed. The end of prayer is not when you get tired but when you get answers. Sometimes it is the persistent that has the opportunity to prove that God is good. When you are consistent, God carries you through the process of receiving your miracle and deliverance. It may be slow, but the miracle will be complete for you and your generation, because God does not do things with one person in view, He looks at generations.
It is time to insist in prayer for that miracle and that answer, because if you do not insist, the devil will.
Now ask yourself these questions:
โข Are miracles real because I have experienced them?
โข Are certain miracles only real because they have happened to me?
โข If I seek a miracle and do not get it, does it mean God does not do miracles?
