TOPIC: Weapons of Warfare: Prayers

TEXT: Ephesians 6 vs 10 - 11

INTRODUCTION

As a child of God, you must be strong. Your prayer life should not be delegated to anyone.

Our spiritual strength comes from the place of prayer.

2Cor. 10 vs 3 - 5.

It is God who strengthens us in our prayers.

1Pet. 5 vs 8

Don't be ignorant of spiritual wickedness in high places.

Luke 22 vs 31

KEY-POINTS

Three battles that face us daily:

1.The battle of the flesh - Gal. 5 vs 17. Romans 7 vs 24, 18. Your flesh is weak because it is contrary to the Spirit. You have to discipline the flesh. Your flesh is always giving you excuses. Romans 8 vs 5. The flesh will never make you pray. 2Tim 2 vs 3 - 5.

2.The battles against imaginations - Romans 12 vs 2. Imaginations are distractions, and there is a need for you to handle them. Until you handle distractions, you cannot ascend to the realm.

3.The battles against the devil.

Prayer is the meeting point between God and man. It is a place where you build a relationship with God. Heb. 11 vs 6. It is a form of petition. 1Samuel 1 vs 11. Psalm 61 vs 1. It is a looking-up attitude. You show your dependence on God. A prayerless attitude is pride. Prayer is a means of ascending realms. Gen. 28 vs 12.

When you pray:

a.)You build intimacy

b.)2Cor. 3 vs 18 - You experience transformation

c.)You receive divine direction and instructions- Jer. 33 vs 3. Be sensitive when praying.

d.)Prayer can help you to preserve your destiny. Matt .4 vs 1

e.)You generate speed.

5 Levels of Prayer

1. The level of begging.

2. Level of desire

3. Level of demand.

4. Level of obtainment.

5. Level of participating and cooperating with God.

How do you start praying?

1.You pray by praying. You create time and pray. Open your mouth and start talking.

2. You pray by worshipping.

3.You pray by confessing the word.

4.You agree with somebody (a prayer partner).

5.Pray by coming to church to pray.

6.Pray in the spirit.

CONCLUSION

Every place of prayer is a place of angelic visitation. It is a place where you stand to watch.
