TOPIC: Financial Wisdom and Responsible Living

TEXT: Gen. 1 vs 28 (MSG), Acts 10 vs 1 - 4, Luke 8 vs 1 - 3, Eccl. 5 vs 18 - 19, 11.

INTRODUCTION

* The money that you make is not only for you.

* God has given us the grace to have. You have something from the onset. It is abnormal for you not to have something that brings in something for you.

KEY POINTS

* Financial wisdom is knowing what to do with money. The four Ms of financial wisdom:

1.Make money

2.Mange it

3.Multiply it

4.Make good use of it.

* You must know your financial status. Know your numbers - How much you make as salary, the amount you spend and what you invest.

* Emergency funds can be used for great things, and we must set them aside.

* Know your financial tendencies and weaknesses.

* Eccl. 7 vs 11 - 12; 9 vs 14 - 15 - Wisdom is better than money. Make sure you have God's wisdom while trying to make your money.

* How to Manage Your Money:

1.Have a plan in place

2.Budget - Budget for irregular expenses like rent.

3.Save - Without this, you cannot multiply.

4.Avoid debt - Especially for consumption.

5.Invest and reinvest.

6.Increase your value.

*What value do you have in your hand?

CONCLUSION
* We cannot keep spending our way into legacy. You have to start buying and building things.
