DON'T LOSE YOUR HEAD!

You woke up early in the morning as a Christian sister, had your quiet time with God, declaring your excessive love for him.

Moved into your bathroom, had a wonderful bath, singing beautiful hymns to edify your spirit.

Having done that, you stood before your wardrobe and fiam! You brought out a luxurious baddie gown, put it on, went before your mirror, looked at yourself and clearly all you could see are your fully fleshed breast appearing as though they were rushing to hop on a yaba-pangroove bus yet you felt very satisfied, lifting and repositioning for better view.

Although you're putting on a long gown yet your underwears(pants, tights, etc) which are meant to be private are competing to be noticed as if they were modeling on stage to be picked for the highest bidder, because your so called long gown is an irony of situation. This my sister, doesn't even bothered you.

You left your home with so much confidence that you've arrived and you no dey gree for anybody!

Have you lost your mind?
Have you lost your pride and glory?
Have you lost your identity in Christ and the value that keeps us as family?

What Got into you?

Coz it's definitely not the God you thought you prayed to this morning, that inspired that.

It's true you're still loved and cherished by God but it's also true that if you don't live by the value that binds the Christian folks together you're gradually straying far from home and this is very dangerous because when the Lord comes with a sound of trumpet you may be too far away to hear that sound.

Come back, you can find the value, the pride, the love, the husband, the job, the fame you've always wanted without necessarily revealing this treasure called your body(the temple of the Holy ghost).

The WORLD says, once opportunity is lost, it cannot be regained.

The WORD says I will restore the years(opportunities) that the cankerworm and the caterpillar (ignorance, procrastination, depression, wrong relationship, etc) has eaten. Your latter end shall be greater than the former.

IGNORE THE WORLD AND INGEST THE WORD.

THE BEAUTY OF FORGIVENESS (cont'd)

Holla, good people🤠🙋, how have y'all been.

Okay back to business 💯.

Last week I wrote on forgiving others for our own sake not for the offenders' sake. I said the offenders most time do not deserve our forgiveness but we forgive for our sake just like God chose to forgive sinners for His own sake. Why? Because we deserve to be happy💯.

Today, I'll tell us other beautiful reasons why we need to forgive and let go of the hurts done to us.

Let's go through this Bible passage Ephesians 4:32; it says "Be ye kind, one to another, tenderhearted, FORGIVING ONE ANOTHER EVEN AS GOD FOR CHRIST'S SAKE as forgiven us".
Here it is again, the reason to forgive, it says for the sake of Christ. God forgave us human of our numerous wrong doings not for our own benefit as human but for the sake of God Himself and Christ. God probably thought within himself and said even if the sin of these people were irreconcilable I'll forgive, for the sake of my only begotten son, who volunteered to pay the price for their redemption.

This brings me to this conclusion, that as christians, who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, who loves the Lord Jesus just as God loves Him too, who wouldn't want to hurt Jesus' feelings; we should forgive, using Christ as the very reason. We need and we must forgive for the SAKE of Christ and the LOVE of Christ.

Other reasons for forgiveness are
1. So that we can be forgiven too, when we ask for mercy. Matthew 6:12,14.
2. So that our prayers can be answered. 1Peter 3:7.
3. We must forgive just like Christ forgave us, totally, without bearing any grudges against us. Colossians 3:13.

I as an individual have learnt to forgive that way and I'm still learning. It may seem difficult at first but it's worth it. I'm enjoying the benefits and I must say izza Beautiful Experience💯.

NOTE: You can't forgive easily, keeping no grudges with those who have offended you, if you have not experienced the God kind of forgiveness yourself. IF YOU ARE YET TO EXPERIENCE THE FORGIVENESS WITHOUT GRUDGES, JUST SAY AFTER ME: (Lord Jesus, I know I have offended you and I have sinned greatly. Please forgive me, I confess my sins to you and I deliberately turn away from them. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life, live and rule over it. I believe you have saved me. Thank you Jesus for the new life).

THE BEAUTY OF FORGIVENESS

The English dictionary defines forgiveness as ability to pardon; to waive any negative feeling or desire for punishment, retribution, or compensation.
To me, forgiveness simply means letting go of a wrong done to you. To place no importance on the wrong done to you. To make sure whatever was done to hurt you no longer has the same effect it has on you as at the time it was done.

Basically, I'll be using two scriptures as my reference points for the topic at hand. Let's take a look at the first scripture which is the book of Isaiah 43:25 it says "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions FOR MY OWN SAKE; And I will not remember your sins.

Having understood the meaning of forgiveness, most times, many of us don't know how to forgive or better put we have difficulty forgiving those who have hurt us deeply and when I say deeply, I mean beyond expression. Some of us have been hurt to the point we just can't let go. Everytime we think about the incident, we hurt badly and become shattered. We even crave critical revenge at some point to show how deep we were pained.

Hold up right there 🛑‼️

THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO FORGIVE.
Take a look at the verse we read in the bible, it simply says God will blot out our transgressions and not remember our sins for whose sake?🤷, He says for HIS OWN SAKE. You know sometimes, we think when we forgive, we do our offenders good they don't deserve. Hey!!! That's not totally true, actually we are doing ourselves the good and not them.
If forgiving is meant for offenders God wouldn't forgive us easily, he'll have to find in us a reason to forgive us, but No! He chose to forgive us for HIS OWN SAKE. That is, God looked at us and probably said to himself, "Hey, this people don't deserve my love and forgiveness because their heart is desperately wicked and all they do is just to keep hurting me with their attitude. Anyway, I choose to forgive them so that they won't give me hypertension and depression 😁😃. For my own sake and for my joy, I forgive them and I won't remember their sins".


Look at that; it sounds like a good reason to me, you know why? If we don't forgive we hurt ourselves more than we have been hurt by people. Me quoting the scripture in my own way " for this reason (unforgiveness) many sleep and many are weak among you"😄. This is true because depression has killed a lot of people as a result of unresolved anger and pain. Many committed su***de and all sort. FORGIVENESS IS DONE PRIMARILY FOR YOU, I MEAN YOU WHO HAVE BEEN OFFENDED AND HURT, YES YOU,👉 YOU READING THIS RIGHT NOW. It's for your health. The Bible says in proverbs 15:13; a merry heart makes a happy man but a sorrowful heart breaks the spirit of man.
There are other reasons why we need to forgive as christians but we'll continue this episode of forgiveness next week.

Do well to forgive people who have offended you for your own sake whether they deserve it or not, even God did the same. Make sure you receive God's forgiveness too.
