*Satan: An Enemy Of Christian*
*Isaiah 14: 12-15; Revelation 12:9*
In our text today, Satan was described as _‘the dragon who was cast out, that serpent of old called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him’_. In Isa 14:12, he was described as the Lucifer and his original home was heaven. He did not remain in heaven as the beautiful angel he was created to be. The Bible tells us that due to his rebellion against the Lord, he was cast out (Isa. 14: 12-15). In Rev 12: 17, the devil therefore made up his mind to fight the remnant of the seed of the woman to a standstill. Every Christian should therefore know that the devil is more than the biblical figure known for evil. He is wicked and arguably the number one enemy of a Christian in warfare. He will do everything to make us weak in prayer or make us not to be able to pray at all. He plants doubts and faithlessness in our hearts and pushes us most times to sin against God. He is the accuser of the brethren, accusing us day and night before God. You have the authority to fight him to a standstill.
*Point of Emphasis:* The devil is determined to fight us but we possess authority over him.
*Prayer Point:* I overcome all the antics of the devil in Jesus’ name.
