And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Copying what others do in marriage is one of the destroyers of marriage. You are not your father, and your wife cannot be like your mother or another man's wife. Copying what others do is the reason many want their spouse to be like other people's spouses.

Don't just copy what people do, even if it is good, except the Holy Spirit instructs you to do so. That it is good does not mean it is right. There are some that copied a model and it worked, and there are others that copied the exact model and failed. Many born to successful businessman fathers do not always succeed in business.

That you copied a good model does not mean it is the right model for you. That someone did it and it worked for them does not mean it will work for you. You must wait on God. You must let the Spirit lead.

In ministry, I have learnt not to copy examples except the Holy Spirit leads me to. Yes, we all do not know it all; we all know in part, as the Bible has said. Others may know the other parts we do not, but the Holy Spirit will lead us to the other parts we may need to know, if there are any.

In this world, there is no one who has not copied someone. The Bible says everyone is envious of his neighbour, and this is why everyone wants to succeed (Ecclesiastes 4:4). The reason many of us want to succeed is because we have seen others succeed. TO BE CONT'D.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
1) My Father! Help me to follow Your leading above human examples. Amen!
2) My Father! Grant me the wisdom to discern what is right for my life and the grace to obey the leading of Your Spirit in every decision I make. Amen!
