DO NOT WITHHOLD YOUR SEED

“In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.” Ecclesiastes 11:6 (KJV)

The natural mind will not sow seeds. The natural man only thinks of how to collect but that is the exact opposite of the supernatural mind, which is patterned after God because God is the Ultimate Giver.

The book of Ecclesiastes 11:1 says: “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days” (KJV). The Natural mind says when I cast it, I have lost it. Ecclesiastes 11: 4 says: “He that observeth the wind shall not sow and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. (KJV). When you observe the wind, you will not sow, because all you will see are the challenges, and your mind will warn you to be careful. When you do that, you are observing the wind, and you will not sow.

Why should I give? You may ask. After all, you are confronted with hard facts. But beloved, the fact is not the truth. The truth is that God will meet your needs. You may not understand the how, but as you follow, it will manifest. That is why the wise man in Ecclesiastes said, “As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all”. (Ecclesiastes 11:5 KJV)

You don ’t know the works of God and don ’t try to understand them. There are certain things that are exclusive to Him alone. Don ’t try to understand it.

I don ’t know how it works but I have made God my priority. So, the first thing is that in all you do, acknowledge Him. In other words, make Him first. Acknowledge Him first. One of the ways you acknowledge God is through your giving, your tithes, your offering, your seed faith, your building funds, and different kinds of giving. Why? Because it is God that gives you the power to get wealth.

POSSESS YOUR INHERITANCE NOW

“And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the Lord God of your fathers hath given you?” Joshua 18:3 (KJV)

In our scripture for today, Joshua, in essence, was saying to the children of Israel: how long will you continue to wait? Why are you vacillating? Why are you sitting down and watching the enemy take what God has given to you? God has given you that land!

The same question goes to us today as the new creation and the born-again believers. How long will you continue to wait and sit down and allow the devil to eat your lunch? How long will you continue to allow him to tell you when to wake up and when to sleep? The land that God has given to you, when will you possess it? God is in the eternal now. He does not have tomorrow or next tomorrow or yesterday, it is always now!

God ’s timing is now! We are the ones that live in time. God does not live in time; and as believers, we are not supposed to allow time to control us.

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3:8 KJV)

God lives in eternity so there is no timing with Him. Everything He has said, promises, and words He has spoken over you is meant to happen now, not tomorrow. It is not meant to be postponed. It is now! You have arrived! You are not going to arrive.

In natural life we are born to begin to do but when you are born again: you are born and you become. In the natural, when you are born, then you begin to do to become. In Christianity as soon as you are born again you become. You are not born to start to become. No! You have become.

YOU ARE ALREADY BLESSED

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28 (KJV)

According to our text, God blessed man. Adam had not asked for anything. But God blessed him. To be blessed in this context means you are empowered to succeed. You are empowered to make it. You are empowered to overcome, and you are empowered to subdue any challenge. The first thing Adam heard when his eyes were open was that he was blessed. The next thing God said to man was “Be fruitful”. In other words, God was saying to them “be productive”.

Every child of God has all that it takes to be fruitful. You are already productive as far as heaven is concerned. Don ’t let the devil lie to you. There is a dominion mandate over your life. Unfortunately, some don ’t know it and they are still struggling. What does this imply? Wherever you see anything contrary to what God has spoken, dominate it, subdue it, and put it down. It is not supposed to control you or determine how you live your life. You are in charge.

Thank God that we are dealing with God and not man. It is a man that will write you off when you fail. There are some people who feel it is their responsibility to begin to tell you all your faults and all the mistakes you have made. But that is not God. God speaks to your strength. When He sees something dirty, He begins to pump what is good inside it. That is what confession does to you. You confess what is good although you don ’t look like it.

Philemon 1:6 encourages you to acknowledge the good which is in you in Christ Jesus, not the bad. In fact, there is no bad in you because you are in Christ. This is very important and critical because these are the times when everything that is around you is negative. And if you are not careful and you are not in the word of God, you will be spewing out death from your mouth. Acknowledge the good in you always.

WALK BY FAITH EVERYDAY

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17 (KJV)

When you function within time and feelings, it is like you are functioning under a curse. And you will place a limitation on yourself. You are not meant to be limited once you have given your life to Christ. That is why God gave you faith. You got the measure of faith the day you were saved. “.….. according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” Rom. 12:3b

God gave you faith because that is what connects you to the unlimited resources of heaven. When you walk by sight, you limit yourself. To walk by sight is to walk by your physical senses. But there is another dimension that is not seen with the natural eyes and cannot be contacted with the physical senses. That is the realm of faith. “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:3 KJV)

Faith operates outside time. Faith tells time what time it is. Time does not tell faith what time it is. Faith helps you to connect to what God has already made available. Your healing is already available. Your testimony is available. There is no lack in Heaven. It is heaven that produced the Earth.

The book of Hebrews 11:1 declares: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV) Now Faith! Not yesterday faith or tomorrow faith. If faith is not now, it is not faith. It must be now for it to manifest.

Make a decision to walk by faith every day of your life.

CHOOSE TO LIVE BY FAITH

“For we walk by faith, not by sight”. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

God has great things prepared for you, but you will only access them by faith. The Bible is very clear about this, it says in Galatians 3:11, “The Just shall live by faith”. In other words, the just functions by faith. The just does not function by feelings but by faith and the faith is based (founded and rooted) in the word of God. The just functions by what God said.

Joshua 6:1-2, “Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel.... And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.” (KJV). It didn’t look like it, but God said it, Joshua believed it and acted on the word he received. The result was an unusual victory. “ …. And it came to pass when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, …" (Joshua 6:20 KJV). The city came down as they went out in faith.

We see the same faith demonstrated in the life of Ruth when she said to Naomi: “ …, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.” (Ruth 1:16 KJV). At the time Ruth made this statement, Naomi had no form nor comeliness. It is no wonder Orpah went back home but Ruth went along with Naomi. Today there is no book written on account of Orpah. But we have a book of the Bible written on Ruth. She saw nothing! But she decided she will walk by faith.

Ruth followed Naomi! No husband in view! No suitors in view! Nothing! All she knew was that she was connected to the Lord God of Israel. The moment she stepped out in faith, she activated a miracle bigger than her imagination and today her name is engraved in the scriptures.

ACCEPT WHAT GOD CALLS YOU

“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:38 (KJV)

David was a man who dared to believe what God says about him. People tried to talk David out of going against Goliath and he said, “Is there not a cause”? Is there no reason to stand for God? Is there no reason to stand by what the covenant says about us? David left those who were trying to talk him out of confronting Goliath. You see, if you are to get into your divinely ordained destiny, naysayers and professional mourners must be cut off. He ignored them, ran toward Goliath, and brought him down. He had a revelation of his identity in the Lord.

In the book of Luke 1:26-38, an angel of the Lord came to a woman by the name, Mary. He told her she was going to give birth to a Son. This woman was not yet married. She was only engaged to be married. She said how is it going to happen? The angel said by the Holy Ghost. It did not make sense.

You see, many are trying to get what God spoke to them about to make sense. It usually does not make sense. What is special about Mary in this account? She had not seen the manifestation, but she was already magnifying God. There was no evidence but for her, it was a done deal. When the Bible calls you what you don ’t yet look like, believe it, act like it and the manifestation will surely come.

Do you know that the bible calls you holy, righteous, healed, complete, perfect, prosperous, settled, beloved, blessed, delivered, and anointed? Know that as you continue to declare it and act like it, the manifestation will come. That ’s how the economy of Heaven works. Many are waiting to look like it before they accept it. It does not work that way. You have to believe, then you will see.

THE ACTIONS OF GRACE

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace” John 1:16 (KJV)

Jesus was called a friend of sinners. They could not understand His purpose. He kept trying to make them understand, grace. They brought a woman who was caught in adultery to Him, expecting Him to condemn the woman. They brought her to Grace and when she came to Grace, she received the gift of no condemnation. The religious rulers were confused. What manner of man is this? This man is turning our tables upside down. That is what Grace does.

Jesus came to the house of Zacchaeus. He was a man that terrorized his environment. No one wanted to associate with him. Regardless, Jesus said to him, this day I am going to have dinner in your house. Zacchaeus was shocked. He received Grace and by himself decided to return illegally acquired goods; Jesus didn’t prompt him to do it. When Grace comes, everything changes. Things must turn around. That is why I don ’t understand when people say they have received Grace and they are still living riotously. No! If you have received Grace, there will be a change. You can ’t continue the way you were. Grace will always bring a change in your life when you truly appreciate Him.

Jesus was going to deliver a man that was demonized. The devil fought tooth and nail to stop Jesus from meeting him. When God wants to show you grace, religious people always want to fight. The devil fought Jesus on the high sea, trying to stop Him. That ’s how important you are to Jesus. He will bypass thousands in other to reach one person. He hazarded His life in the storm, just for one man.

After his deliverance, Jesus said to him, go and tell everyone what great things the Lord has done for you. The reason the devil wanted to kill you is because I put something inside of you before you were born. You are a publisher. You are a proclaimer of the good news. Go to the city and tell everyone what wonderful thing I have done for you. That is what Grace does.

HOW HAVE YOU FARED?

“Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction.” Psalm 90:12(KJV)

Many times, we use this scripture when we are celebrating people on their birthdays, but it is a scripture that is so instructive to every believer and relevant for all seasons. As the year runs to a close, in a few days, we will be celebrating another year, can you stop today to meditate over the passing year? How has it been? How consistent have you been in the things of God. How much of your time, talent and resources have you committed to the service of God?

What about other areas of your life? Are you living a compartmentalized life where you serve God on Sunday and every other day people cannot even see the reflection of God in you? Or is your life a reflection of God every day of the year? Child of God, you are called to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. God expects you to shine every minute of the day wherever you find yourself. He wants you to be an example of a believer. He expects you to show the world who Jesus is not by your words but by your actions.

As you look back at the year, take note of those areas where you have not really been the light or where you have not shone consistently. Ask yourself, what will you do differently? Write it down and take time to pray over it. Decide that from today, not just in the coming year, but from now on, your life will be an example of that of a believer. It is only when your life can show the difference between you and others that you can make a formidable impact in your world for the kingdom. The time to stop playing church is now. It is time to live for God in words, thoughts and actions. Let your light so shine before all men. Be the light and show others the way.

JOY TO THE WORLD
Sunday 25 December,2022

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11 (KJV)

I know that the media is awash with bad news today, but I am glad that today is a day of good tidings. Today we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Halleluyah!!!

Many have argued on the correctness of December 25, but that is not the issue. Do not focus on the minors and ignore the major; the fact remains that Jesus Christ was born. I am so excited that God Himself, came in the form of man to pay the price that no man could pay.

Stop and think for a minute: assume that Jesus had not yet come and so you are living in the Old Testament, how many sheep, goat, birds etc. would you have slaughtered all in an attempt to cover your sins? Think of worship in the Old Testament. How many laws would you have learnt to keep; to come into His presence. Remember, you cannot even come into the Holy of Holies, you stay in the outer court and rely on the priests to carry out the sacrifice for you. But today, Hallelujah, the curtain has been torn, we can now enter boldly into His presence, not with the blood of bulls and goats, but by the blood of the Lamb that was slain, not to cover, but to TAKE AWAY the sin of the while world.

So you can imagine why I am so excited to celebrate Christmas. He came into the world to give us life and that more abundantly so we can enter into His presence at any time and indeed, we can now dwell in His presence. But it is not only access His coming gave us, no. When He left, He left us with a legacy, we are now carriers of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit now dwells in us. What a privilege.

Beloved, today and every day, thank God for Jesus Christ. Celebrate His birth and take time to ruminate over what His birth brought to you and me.

I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Luke 2:10 (KJV)

We are in that season where we celebrate the birth of Jesus. I love the scripture for today, it says “Fear not … I bring you good tidings …” Child of God, fear not.

It is so sad that many believers are so tuned to bad news that they unconsciously expect bad news. If you call the average person and tell the person, “I need to tell you something”. Immediately you see the person agitated; he or she cannot wait a minute longer. Why? It is because what first strikes their mind is something bad has happened. Why? As a believer, you should expect good ALWAYS, not some time, not most times but ALWAYS.

When the angel met the Shepherds, he told them, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to ALL people. Did you see that. All means ALL, there is no exception. You are not an exception. God has His mind full of you and desires that good news come to you all the time. But do you know that you attract what you get? The Bible says the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off (Prov. 23:18). Question: what are you expecting? Yes, the year is ending, but can you still believe God for a Christmas gift? Just like the world is sharing gifts this season, even God is also sharing gifts. Grace has made all things available to you, dare to believe God and release your faith to receive it.

As you celebrate in this season, it is my prayer that the Lord will show you a token for good and give you a gift beyong your expectations. No matter how many days there are to the end of the year, God is able and faithful to overrule that seemingly impossible situation and give you a mind blowing testimony.

WHAT YOU SHOULD FIRST SEEK
Friday 23 December, 2022

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:31-33 (KJV)

It is part of God’s greatest desire to meet all our needs, He is very much aware that we have needs in this life. However, He does not want us to seek after things. He wants us to first seek His Kingdom and all other things we need shall be added unto us.

The word ‘’First’’ speaks of order of importance, holding the highest place in our affections. This is instructive now when different forecasts are flying all over the place on what 2023 holds. I want to assure you that God is in absolute control.

Yes, the Gentiles, worry, stress, labour, sweat in order to get. Yes, they are panicking as we speak wondering where they will be by this time next year. But we are not Gentiles we are a new creation, and we function on a superior platform. When the believer speaks, it is from a position of rest. We hunger after Him; We desire to worship. We want whatever will promote the Kingdom.

The Kingdom of God according to Romans 14:17 is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. We already have the Kingdom in us. (Luke 17:21) because of the indwelling Holy Spirit. In order to have peace and joy in the Holy Spirit flowing inside you, you must be awake to your righteousness IN Christ as a gift.

Spend time with Jesus and listen to His word regularly. When you do all the things you need will be added to you. As we celebrate His birth, take time to meditate on His coming and all that He did. Let this December mark a new beginning in your walk with God.

WISDOM FOR THE DAY
MONDAY, 12TH DECEMBER 2022
THEME: YOU NEED GOD

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7 (KJV)

In our present day, Churches have become benefit oriented. As a result, our relationship has become mechanical. We must return to God’s original intention right from creation, which is intimacy. You will notice that in the book of Genesis, before man was made, God had already created everything that will make man comfortable. So, the material things that we seek for are not the issue. So, it is really surprising how many people are killing, manipulating and stopping other people just to get material things.

It was after everything had been put in place that God now said in Gen 1:26-28, let us make man in our image and after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, over the cattle and over all the earth. And God blessed them. This means He empowered man to succeed, subdue, step on the devil, and recover all and to multiply, not to be a failure. Man was empowered from the beginning to be successful on the earth and to dominate creation.

Remember that God is a Spirit. If we were made in the image of God, then we are first of all spirit before we were given a body. When man became active or alive to his environment, the first thing he saw was God and not the created things, not the benefits which God had already put in place. This means that the first focus of man was God and not things. But these days we focus too much on things and we are missing it. Why would God reveal himself first to man before exposing him to the things that he created? So that man can see his true image. God was saying, you are like me and we need to fellowship with one another. He was saying, man needs Him to succeed and man needs Him to control what He has provided. You need Him to overcome and to navigate your life on earth.

DAILY CONFESSIONS:
DECEMBER 11TH – DECEMBER 17TH

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He is my keeper, the shade upon my right hand. The sun will not smite me by day; neither will the moon by night. The Lord will keep me from all evil, He will keep my life. The Lord will keep my going out and my coming in from this time forth and forever. The Lord girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like hinds feet and sets me upon high places. He teaches my hands to war so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms. (Psalm 18:32-34, Ps. 23:1, Ps 121:5-8)

The Lord will cause my eyes to see the hidden riches in secret places; I will be sought after. This is my season of recovery; everything the locust, the cankerworm, the palmer worm has eaten shall all be restored unto me. I will pursue, overtake and recover all (Is. 45:3, Joel 2:25; 1 Sam 30:8)

Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.

I am called for a purpose. I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom.
