Throwback pictures of our female volunteers at St. Stephen’s Children Home, Abeokuta, a home dedicated to providing shelter, care, and education to children who lost parents through persecution and hardship.

This home stands as a place of hope where vulnerable children receive love, support, and the opportunity to build a future through learning.

Born to Win: Changing the Narrative at Stella Obasanjo Children’s Home

On 30th November 2024, TLNI Nigeria visited Stella Obasanjo Children’s Home in Abeokuta, and it was an incredible experience! The home is a safe haven for 94 children, including orphans, children with disabilities, and those with special needs.

At TLNI Nigeria, our mission is simple: Creating Influence, Changing Narratives. We’re passionate about raising leaders and building a balanced, purposeful generation ready to bring great innovations to the world.

During our visit, we had career talks, academic sessions, discussions about physical and mental health, and a faith-based session to inspire hope and confidence. A memorable moment was when a child with a disability stepped forward to participate in a singing challenge, showing us the power of courage and determination.

The children’s dreams were heartwarming—some wanted to be bankers, teachers, and fashion designers, while others talked about becoming innovators who could give back to their communities.

We reminded them that they are truly born to win. By taking responsibility, staying focused, and believing in their potential, these children can grow into leaders who will create positive change in our society.
