Father, thank You for this wonderful day, set aside to worship Your majesty

Thank You Lord Almighty for bringing me into Your marvelous light

Lord Jesus, thank You for paying the debt of sin for me and my household, that we could never pay

Holy Spirit, let Your presence go and abide with me in my Father’s house today, in Jesus’ name

Father, I receive all the blessings and corrections You have for me today through me and my spiritual leaders, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, thank You for never overlooking my little contributions to the Kingdom, help me to do more, in the mighty name of Jesus

Rewarder of Men, please reward me with Your mercy and be compassionate to me and my household, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, thank You for being a righteous Father. Help me to be righteous in all my ways, in the mighty name of Jesus

35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

*MESSAGE:*

A person’s strength of character is best revealed in the midst of adversity (Proverbs 24:10). You will be surprised at the level of unbelief demonstrated by many who claim to be children of God when they are faced with adverse situations. At such times, fear makes many lose their hold of God’s infallible word; this is what happened to the disciples in today’s Bible reading. They were so afraid of the great storm threatening their lives even though Jesus was right there in the boat with them. At that moment, they forgot all the great deeds they had seen Him do and all the powerful things they had heard Him teach. Think about yourself, how do you react when you are in trouble like the disciples? Do you blame God, or do you act as if He is not even there with you at all? You must always remember that Jesus Christ is with you in the boat of life. Not only is He with you, but He can also feel the turbulence of the boat and will come to your aid once you call on Him. Hebrews 2:18 says of Him:

For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

He personally promised to be with you always, even to the end of the world (Matthew 28:19-20). How comforting! In addition to this promise, He also said to you in Isaiah 43:1-2:

Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

I must, however, point out that only the redeemed of the Lord can lay claim to His promises in this Scripture. Have you been transformed by the redeeming work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary? Do you have the assurance of salvation in your heart? If you are genuinely saved, I congratulate you. Nevertheless, our Lord wants you to demonstrate faith in Him by trusting Him in the midst of adversity. It is impossible to please God without having faith in Him (Hebrews 11:6). I, therefore, encourage you with these words of the Master in Mark 11:22 that says:
..Have faith in God.

PRAYER POINT:

1. I worship and adore You my Father, You’re the King of glory, the Holy God, the Sanctifier.

2.Thank You Father, for the precious blood of Jesus that was shed at Calvary for my cleansing

3.Father, I come to You, this morning, via the blood of Jesus. Please, let the blood of Jesus that was shed at Calvary begin to flow from the crown of my head through every part of my body to the soles of my feet and cleanse me from all unrighteousness and grant me forgiveness, where I need forgiveness, and mercy where I need mercy, in Jesus name.

4.Father, in anyway I have sinned against You knowingly or unknowingly, please forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness, in Jesus’ name.

5.Father, I plead the blood of Jesus, over my spirit, soul and body, and I ask that every yoke of sin in my life that is preventing You from seeing and hearing me be destroyed in Jesus’ name.

6.Father, please give me the grace to live a transparently holy life, henceforth, in Jesus’ name.

7.Father, henceforth, let holiness and holy living be my lifestyle, in Jesus’ name.

*MEMORISE:*

*“But love your enemies, and do good and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.” - (Luke 6:35)*

*READ: PROVERBS 25:21-22 (KJV)*

21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:

22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

*MESSAGE:*

The most difficult instruction Jesus Christ gave to His disciples is probably what we have in today’s memory verse. He wants us to love our enemies if we are to be genuine children of God. What are we to do about this seemingly difficult command? Firstly, you should note that His commands are not grievous (1 John 5:3). Also, when you consider the benefits of being a child of God, you will realise that what the Lord commands is just a little price to pay. Amazed by these benefits, John the Apostle wrote in (1 John 3:1):

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:

The commandment of the Lord to love your enemies is not just a New Testament doctrine. God commands us to do so because He is love Himself (1 John 4:7). He loved us even when we were in His enemy’s camp as sinners (Romans 5:8), and since He has commanded us to be perfect even as He is (Matthew 5:48), it means that we have to be like Him in all things (Ephesians 5:1), even in loving our enemies.

Why is it so important to God that you love your enemies? One reason is that it practically reflects the true nature of your Father, showing Him to be different from what the devil portrays Him to be (Genesis 3:1-5). When unbelievers experience such uncommon love from you, they are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that your God is good. Many people testify that they gave their lives to Christ because of the benevolent acts of Christians. Your perceived enemies today may be your best Christian brothers and sisters tomorrow if only you will heed the Lord’s instruction to love them.

Through your love, their wickedness will melt away. One of my relatives, who was an idol worshipper and was well known for his wickedness, decided to follow me to church when he experienced the goodness of the Lord flowing through me into his life. When he was confronted by others as to why he abandoned his deity and foolishly followed me to serve the Lord, he confessed that he was left with no other option but to join me in serving Jesus Christ because of the love I had shown him. He asked those questioning his decision, “Can’t you see how my life has been spiritually and materially transformed?”

Beloved, be good to your enemies and never repay them with evil.

I decree and declare that every burden is taken away from off my shoulder, and every yoke from off my neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing in the name of Jesus.

I decree and declare that the anointing breaks every yoke in my life in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that I do not work for another person to harvest and I do not lose my profit in Jesus’ name.

I decree today that every yoke of poverty that has restricted my growth financially is broken in Jesus’ name!

I decree and declare that whatever forces are trying to make sure that what I am earning is not producing the result it’s supposed to, are destroyed and it ends today, in Jesus’ name.

Jesus Christ is the One who has the key of David and what He opens, no man can shut; what He shuts, no man can open. Today, He shuts the door against those taking away my money and open the door of blessings for me, in Jesus’ name.

I decree that by the enablement and mercy of God, every debt I or anyone reading this prayer may have is cleared within the next twenty – four hours, in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that every marital yoke the devil has has put on me is broken now in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare that every yoke on my brain stopping my from advancing mentally and academically is broken now in Jesus’ name.

I decree and declare, every cloud of confusion hovering over my mind is dispersed by the light of God’s Word, in the name of Jesus. (Psalm 119:105)

I decree and declare that I will excel academically and in all areas of my life, in Jesus’ name. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

I decree and declare, every spell of mental darkness, I break it off my life, in the name of Jesus. (Colossians 1:13)

I decree and declare, over this nation and nations around the world every chain and stronghold of darkness is destroyed, in the mighty name of Jesus
