WHEN YOU OUTGROW THEM

There are people still judging you by the chapter they last left you on. They're forever holding you to the person you used to be because they cannot handle the person you've become.

Years have gone by and you've evolved into a different place but they cannot acknowledge it. They come at you with an awkward energy that's a mixture of condescension and envy. They know you've become better than them in many ways but they want to assume you're still where you used to be, comfortably below them and learning from them.

You may have been behind them and learning from them, but you learned well and you scaled up, while they didn't. This is how previous mentors and 'senior friends' become toxic when you outgrow them, and you must not hesitate to quietly but permanently retire them from your life.

Your social life will be a series of these 'innings' and 'outings' of friends and you must not let the pain of goodbye keep you hung up on expired relationships. BZG.

Fix Your Mind

Whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is kind, if there is any virtue, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things. – Philippians 4:8

TODAY’S WORD:
What you think about determines the quality and direction of your life. Naturally, people who think positive, uplifting thoughts have happier, healthier, longer lives. They are less stressed, more vibrant and enjoy better sleep. That’s why the scripture encourages us to think on good things—things that are true, noble and lovely. Some translations say to “fix your mind” on them. When you fix your mind on noble things, you close the door to the negative voices and open your heart to allow God to work in your life.
Choose today to fix your mind on good things. Do whatever you need to in order to keep those good thoughts before you. Write them on note cards and put them in a place where you can see them. Confess God’s promises over your life and declare His blessing on a daily basis. As you fix your mind on the goodness of God, you will rise higher in every area of your life. You will be filled with His peace and victory, and you’ll see every dream and desire in your heart come to pass.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father in heaven, I choose to fix my mind on noble things. I choose thoughts of peace and victory. Fill my heart with Your goodness that I may glorify You in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen

God is about to do something so awesome, so big, that you’re going to laugh in amazement. The second laugh is going to surprise you. It’s going to be something out of the ordinary, something that you can’t explain, something that catapults you to a new level. Get ready; God is about to defy the odds. He’s about to show out in your life. You haven’t seen, heard or imagined what He’s about to do.
