The power of words ๐Ÿ‘‡

A story is told about a young Thomas Edison who came home one day with a paper for his mother. He told her, โ€œMy teacher told me to give this paper only to my mother.โ€
Thomasโ€™ mother read the note and her eyes filled with tears. Thomas asked his mother what the note said, and she read aloud,
โ€œYour son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesnโ€™t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.โ€
And thatโ€™s exactly what Thomasโ€™ mother did; she home-schooled her child with devotion and dedication. As the story goes, many years later after Thomas Edisonโ€™s mother passed on, and he was now one of the worldโ€™s greatest inventors, he found a folded paper among other family items. He opened the very same paper that had been handed to him to give to his mother and read the following message:
โ€œYour son is mentally ill. We wonโ€™t let him come to school anymore.โ€
At that moment, Edison realised what his mother had done for him so many years ago. He wrote in his diary: โ€œThomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero mother, became the genius of the century.โ€
โ€œThe words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.โ€
Can you imagine what might have happened to Thomas Edison if his mother had read to him the reckless and hurtful words written by his teacher? He might never have invented the light bulb or made his many other contributions to society.
Thank God for the wisdom and wise words of his mother! She created the context in which her son could grow to his full potential.
Letโ€™s take this message to heart and resolve to use our words for healing today. You might be a parent, what do you say to your children.... You might be a teacher, what do you say to your student... especially the ones that are not really performing well presently.... What do you say about your parents, family, boss, subordinate, leader, colleague, follower.... Just as hurtful words can cause uncontrolled damage for life, so can wise words positively affect a person for life. May the words you use today change a life for the better.

God is really good, that even those people whom we thought are hurting us, are a blessing to us - it's necessary for us to be tested first, before we will be elevated.

So, my friends, I encourage you all that instead of thinking revenge and retaliation, pray for them instead, and thank God for it.

Jesus would have not completed the redemption story if it wasn't for Judas.

FORGIVE. FORGET. FORGO!

โ€œThen Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons
โ€ขBut in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him
โ€ขThe word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:
โ€ขThat word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached
โ€ขHow God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him
โ€ขAnd we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree
โ€ขHim God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly
โ€ขNot to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead
โ€ขAnd he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead
โ€ขTo him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sinsโ€
โ€”Acts 10:34-43

3โ€ข They recieved the gift of Holy Ghost.
โ€œWhile Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the wordโ€
โ€œAnd they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghostโ€
โ€”Acts 10:44-45

4โ€ข They spoke with tongues and magnified God.
โ€œFor they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.โ€
โ€”Acts 10:46

5โ€ข They were baptized in the name of the Lord.
โ€œAnd he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to carry certain daysโ€

The only bird that dares to peck an eagle is the raven. It sits on the eagle's back and bites its neck. However, the eagle doesn't respond or fight with the raven, it just opens its wings and begins to fly higher in the sky. The higher the flight, the harder it is for the raven to breathe and the raven eventually falls due to lack of oxygen.

Not all battles you need to respond to. Not all arguments or critics you need to respond to or answer back. Just lift a standard they will fall off. Stop wasting time with the raven. Just take them at your height, and they will fade away.

May God take us to a height where it will be difficult for the enemy to peck us. Wishing you a successful endeavor as you embark on the new year's journey.

BE PREPARED! BE ALERT!AS YOU CELEBRATE!

For many, New Year is just another holiday. For others, itโ€™s a time of deep reflection, both on the past year and on the one ahead.

For Christians, though we celebrate the Graciousness of GOD upon our lifes, we are to pause and reflect on the turning of the calendar.

Moses asked of the Lord, "Teach us to number our days, so we may get a heart of wisdom" (Psalms 90:12).

Times; seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, is a gift to us from the good GOD.
To wisely follow him, then, is to redeem our time (Eph. 5:16).

As Christians, we know the fragility of human life. We know every breath is a miracle, a gift given to us by our Creator.
That we should remember to live in godliness and holiness in anticipation of His Coming unlike the world.

The Scripture says:
"And what I say to you, I say to everyone: BE ALERT!"
The recurring theme of Scripture concerning the second coming is to BE READY ,and Scripture is not silent on how to prepare:
๐Ÿ”น LIVE IN THE LIGHT OF HIS FIRST COMING.
Do you want to be prepared for Jesusโ€™ second coming? Then live like His first coming mattered.

Jesus spoke parables about His return. In Luke 19:11-27, He told about a nobleman who traveled to a far country to become king. This nobleman called ten of his servants, gave them each a mina (coin), and told them: "engage in my business until I come back".

After an unspecified duration of time, the nobleman returned as king and summoned his servants to give an account of their faithfulness.

The first two servants had been productive with what was entrusted to them. But another servant had done nothing. He simply wrapped his mina in a cloth and hid it. His mistake was that he didnโ€™t act on what he professed to believe. He professed something about his master but didnโ€™t live by his profession, and lost his reward.

Those who profess Christ as Lord and live according to their profession will receive great reward when Jesus returns.
๐Ÿ”นBE DISCERNING.
Twice in Mark 13 Jesus warned His disciples not to be led astray by false claim: "Watch out that no one deceives youโ€ฆ false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, the elect".
Paul warned, "Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to himโ€ฆ. Donโ€™t let anyone deceive you in any way" (2 Thess. 2:1-3).

The warning of Scripture is consistent: use discernment in listening to those who claim to have all the details of the end times figured out, and ignore those who resort to date setting end time events.

๐Ÿ”น ACCEPT THE UNCERTAINTIES.
"Now concerning that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the Father. Watch! Be alert! For you donโ€™t know when the time is coming" (Mark 13:32-33).

If Jesus was content not to know the day or hour, then letโ€™s stop speculating about it. Be content with "no one knows โ€ฆ only the Father."

๐Ÿ”นDONโ€™T LOSE HOPE.
Paul reminded Titus that Jesusโ€™ first coming brought salvation and it instructs us how to live "sensible, righteous, and godly" lives in this present age.

It is our "blessed hopec, the expectation of Jesusโ€™ return that compels us to do so (Titus 2:11-13).

๐Ÿ”นENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER.
The promise that"the Lord will descend from heaven with a shout" in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 is followed by a command: "Therefore encourage one another with these words" (1 Thess. 4:18).

Again, the affirmation that "the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night" (1 Thess. 5:2) is followed by the exhortation: "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up".

Scriptureโ€™s teachings about the second coming are not given to satisfy our personal fascination with future events but that the body of Christ might encourage one another with the promises.

๐Ÿ”น LIVE AS IF TODAY WAS THE DAY.
If weโ€™re not careful, the delay in Jesusโ€™ return will lead us to complacency.
Living in the expectation that He could return today compels us to live every day for what really matters for eternity.

๐Ÿ”นKEEP ON DOING THE WORK JESUS LEFT US TO DO.
Jesus warned of troubling events as we near the end of the age, including persecution of believers (Mark 13:7-9). Then He added that nothing not even persecution should distract us from the one necessary thing: PREACH t THE GOSPEL TO ALL NATIONS.

To the Unbeliever, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will not perish.
To the Lukewarm, Wake up for Time is Near!

SEEK THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ“ข๐Ÿ›กโš”๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ™Œ

WHAT WE SEE IN CHURCHES TODAY...THE CHURCH IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HOUSE OF GOD AND NOT A CLUB..

See the way they appear in the presence of God and yet they still claim to sing and pray to God..

Who are you praying to while dressed like this..We all really need to stop deceiving ourselves and wake up and take God very seriously..

If you dress this way to church, sorry to disappoint you..but you're only fooling yourselves...Please stop immediately and start dressing decently, set a good example for your kids or other young ones around you,you must be holy ..

This is a command that,God gave..so We must be Holy in all we do,including how you dress and in all manner of communication too..

โ€œ But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship himโ€

โ€œGod is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truthโ€

IT TAKES DISCIPLINE TO FOLLOW GOD AND TO STAY ON THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW PATH!

Discipline is self control, order based on submitting to God and His authority in your life, allowing Him to control your thoughts, speech and behavior. The Word tells us many will strive to enter in the gate BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO.
It takes loving God and obeying His Word. Putting His Word first and making it the standard you live by. The Holy Spirit HELPS and TEACHES us how to do this. It takes diligent effort and feeding on the Word daily to stay on the straight and narrow.

Don't waste your time arguing over foolish ideas and silly myths and legends. SPEND YOUR TIME AND ENERGY in the exercise of keeping spiritually fit. Bodily exercise is alright, but spiritual exercise is much more important and is a tonic for all you do. So exercise yourself spiritually and practice being a better Christian, because that will help you not only in this life, but in the next life to.
1 Timothy 4:7-8

But ASK the Lord Jesus Christ to help you live as you should, and don't make plans to enjoy evil.
Romans 13:14

In a race, everyone runs but only one person gets first prize. So run your race to win. To win the contest you must DENY YOURSELVES many things that would keep you from doing your best. An athlete goes to all this trouble just to win a blue ribbon, but we do it for a heavenly reward that never disappears. So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I fight to win. I'm not just shadow boxing or playing around. Like an athlete I punish my body, treating it roughly, TRAINING IT TO DO WHAT IT SHOULD, not what it wants to do.
