PALM SUNDAY WAS POWERFUL AND IT CAME AT A COST

Yesterday was not just another service it was a divine encounter.
As we marched in unity, celebrating our King, it was more than a symbol it was a sacrifice.

Palm Sunday reminds us that praise is powerful, but it is also costly.
The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna” would soon witness the cross.
It is a call for us to not just celebrate Him in moments, but to stand with Him in commitment.

And now… we step into PASSION WEEK.

A week of deep reflection.
A week of sacrifice.
A week of love poured out for humanity.

Let this week not be ordinary for you.
Walk with Jesus. Reflect on His sacrifice.
And let your life respond with deeper surrender.

This is not just a season… this is a call to transformation.

Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem a few days before His crucifixion. It marks the beginning of Passion Week (Holy Week) leading to Easter.
Matthew 21:8–9 (AMP)
“Most of the crowd spread their coats on the road… shouting, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!’

Fulfillment of Prophecy:
Palm Sunday fulfilled prophecy about the Messiah coming as a humble King.
Zechariah 9:9 (AMP)
“Behold, your King is coming to you; He is righteous and endowed with salvation, humble… mounted on a donkey.”
Jesus riding on a donkey symbolized peace, humility, and a spiritual kingdom, not a political one.

Significance to the Church Universal:
Palm Sunday is important to the global Church because it represents:
1. Jesus revealed as King.
2. The beginning of the week of redemption.
3. Christ’s humility and obedience.
4. The journey to the Cross and Resurrection.
5. A call for believers to truly follow Christ.
John 12:13 (AMP)
“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!"

Spiritual Lesson:
Palm Sunday teaches that we must not only praise Jesus in celebration, but also follow Him in sacrifice, obedience, and faithfulness.
Luke 19:41 (AMP)
“As He approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it.”
Even while they praised Him, Jesus knew many did not truly understand Him — and this remains a lesson for the Church today.

Conclusion
Palm Sunday is the celebration of the humble King who came to save humanity, and it begins the most important week in Christianity, the week that led to the Cross and the Resurrection, the foundation of the Christian faith.

Join us tomorrow to celebrate Jesus Christ the King as he triumphantly enters our lives and homes.
