Where's your faith
Luke 8:22-25

Faith is the foundation of Christianity, this means Without faith, Christianity becomes religion, Without faith our prayers becomes noise and Without faith our worship becomes a routine.

What's faith?

Faith is confidence in what we hope and assurance about what we don't see.
Faith is knowing what God said, believing what God said, doing what God said, and expecting God to do what he had said.

Lessons from the test (Luke 8:22-25)
- Fear exaggerate danger, faith see opportunities.
- Faith is tested in silence. Gods silence doesn't mean he's absent.
- Sometimes pain is necessarily for victory

Types of faith failures
1. Forgetful faith: Faith fails when you forget what he's done before.
2. Borrowed faith: When your faith is anchored on everybody else but yourself
3. Conditional faith: Faith fails when it's conditional.

How can we find our faith
If our faith can be Misplaced, Hidden, and Inactive, we can do this things to reactivate our faith.

1. Return to Gods word
2. Speak faith not fear
3. Focus on God and not the storm
4. Act in faith

Celebrating our mothers
Pst Victorious Sunday

Celebration has to do with an organized honor, during a special occasion, milestones, anniversary or achievement. Etc. Mothers are a gift to us and should be celebrated always.

Mothers are those who give birth to us, nurses us, adopt us or those who brought us up. Motherhood is beyond the one who birthed you.

Why we must celebrate our mothers.
1. They are gifts to us. Genesis 2:22
2. They are the real taste of life Genesis 2:18, 23-25
3. Reason for Multiplication. Genesis 4:1-2

How do we celebrate our mother.
1. By buying them gifts. (Women generally love gifts)
2. Treat them with Love and Respect.
3. They love kind words
4. They love recognition

What's demanded of mothers
1. They promote Peace and Unity.

Make sure you celebrate your mother before it's too late.

Mark 4:2
Psalm 93:4

As children of God, we should understand that challenges will come. It is okay to be afraid. It is okay to feel unsettled. But we must not worry. Instead, we should call on Jesus and trust that we can sail with Him, just as the disciples did in Mark 4:35–41.

What does it mean to sail with God?

Sailing with God means inviting Him into every situation of our lives. It means walking daily with the belief and confidence that God is with us and will help us through every circumstance.

When and where can we sail with God?

While making key decisions in life
Before making marital decisions
Before taking a job and even while on the job
In order to succeed in our relationships and marriages
To live a holy life and avoid sin

Why do we need to sail with God?

To survive the storms of life
To overcome sickness and disease
To overcome financial struggles
To make wise decisions
To make heaven

How do we sail with God?
Through obedience
By following the Scriptures
By keeping our faith steady through challenges
By prioritizing our intimacy with God

TOPIC: Everyone Can Be Useful to God

Note:

Every child of God can be useful to God. Believers must be motivated enough to begin the work — preaching the gospel, encouraging others, and bringing men to Christ.
There should be no excuses when it comes to stepping out to make an impact. You have been given sufficient grace from God. God is looking for vessels who can give their best to Him, no matter the circumstances.

Examples of People Who Became Useful in the Bible

1. Onesimus — Philemon 1:10
Onesimus teaches us that even with a bad history, you can still be useful to God. Your past does not disqualify you when you surrender to God.

2. Barnabas — Acts 4:35–36
Barnabas teaches us that there is always something you can do for the Lord. It may be through finances, service, encouragement, or prayer. Barnabas sold his property for the furtherance of the Kingdom.

3. Philip — Acts 8:26–40; Acts 21:7–9
Philip teaches us that availability matters. When you make yourself available, God can use you mightily. If you are not doing anything for God, you are limiting your usefulness.
Now that there is still time to serve God, what will you do for the Lord?

Ecclesiastes 9:10 — “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.”

‎He appointed the twelve to be with him first, so they can learn of him before sending them out. One way of raising effective and faithful disciples or workers is through mentoring.
‎
‎Mentoring entails
‎1.Teaching
‎2. modeling
‎3. grooming of a younger folk.
‎
‎Christian mentorship is a discipleship process where a more matured christian help guide a less experienced christian grow spiritually, in faith, in grace so he becomes like christ
‎ Mentoring is not indoctrination, or grooming someone to be like you, speak or behave like you the mentor. The younger folk is allowed to be himself, while growing to become like christ.
‎
‎Procedure of mentorship
‎*Select people (disciples) and teach them till they become equipped and reliable to teach others. (2Tim 2:2)
‎*Continuity in the spreading of the message of salvation.
‎Mentorship is a continuous process
‎Joel 2:3 says "Tell your children, and let your children tell their children, and their children to the next generation".
‎
‎Requirements of mentorship
‎‎1.Phil 2:8 Mentoring entails Obedience.
‎‎2.Luck 9:1 mentoring entails Authority
‎3.John 13:34_35 mentoring entails Love; teaching on the need to love. Jesus is love personified, so you groom others to show love and live the command of Jesus which is to Love.
‎4. Mentoring entails prayer; raise disciples who can pray. 1Thesselonians 5:17 says "pray without ceasing". You ought to raise men that pray continuously.

‎Goals of Mentorship
‎It help christians become like Christ; in totality, observing all that Jesus did and say in the scripture. Walking and living daily with consciousness to the pattern of Jesus.
‎
‎Qualities of a good mentor
‎1. You must be a good repented christian.
‎‎2. You must believe what Christ stands for.
‎‎3. You must behave like how the disciples of Jesus behaved.
‎‎4. Availability: You have to be fully available to disciple others
‎‎5. Readiness: You have to be well equip, prepared to teach others.
‎6. Willingness: You have to be willing to disciple others.
