The lips of the wife of another man will be as sweet as *honey. Her kisses will be as soft as *oil.

4 But in the end, she gives you something that is like a *bitter food. It is like a very sharp *sword. And you will be sad and angry.

5 She will take you down to the world of dead persons. The road that she walks is the road to death.

6 She does not think about the way to *life but she walks away. She does not understand what is happening.

7 So listen to me, my sons. Never forget what I am saying.

8 Keep away from a woman like that! Do not even go near the door of her house.

9 If you do, other people will not speak well about you. You will die young because a cruel person will kill you.

10 Strangers will take all your money. What you have worked for will go into a stranger’s house.

11 Near the end of your life, you will shout out because your body will be so sick and weak.

12 You will say, ‘I certainly should have learned. People told me that I was doing the wrong things. But I thought that it was not important.

13 I did not listen to my teachers. I did not want to do what they said.

14 In front of all the people I lost the importance that they once gave to me.’

15 Enjoy s*x with your own wife.

16 If you have children by other women, they will not help you.

17 Your children should grow up to help you. They should not grow up to help strangers. Prov 5:3 down

*TOPIC: USE THE OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE WISELY.*

_"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:16._

*MESSAGE*
Time and opportunity are treasures that must be appreciated. Appreciate the opportunities that come your way. God has made available to all human beings the opportunity to become whatever we would want to become in life. Unfortunately many of us do not realise the opportunity when it comes. Opportunity is a gift; if we fail to recognize and get ready to take it when it comes, we may miss it forever.

Any opportunity not taken at the right time may become a struggle thereafter. For example, the opportunity to receive Christ's offer of salvation is only available while we are alive. That opportunity expires at death. Therefore take advantage of the time you have now. "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven" ( Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Your success in life has little to do with speed, but much to do with timing and making the right decision when the time is right. If the right time has passed, then your preparation will do you no good. The woman with the issue of blood did not mess around with the only time she had to meet Jesus; David made the best use of the opportunity he had to bring down Goliath. Likewise, let us be wise to use each moment we have doing the right things that will edify us and glorify God.

*ACTION POINT*
Avoid pride, selfishness and laziness at all costs.

*SCRIPTURES*
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4; Colossians 4:5; Ecclesiastes 9:10; Romans 13:11.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father, thank you for the gift of a new day.

2. O Lord, give me the grace to maximize every opportunity I'm given in the name of Jesus.

3. O Lord, don't allow laziness to rob me of my destiny in the name of Jesus.

*THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR*
1 Sam.8:1-9, 14. Isa.49. 2 Cor.10

TUESDAY, 26 JULY
TEXT: 2 KINGS 4: 1 – 17
TOPIC: THE ALL SUFFICIENT GOD (1)

Today’s reading shows two different women in different locations with different needs. One had forgotten about her needs, thinking that all hope was lost for any miracle. Yet she was faithfully serving the Lord in her own way. These two women were simply identified as the ‘widow of a prophet’ and ‘a well-to-do Shunammite woman’. The first woman had a big debt and risked losing her two children. Although the Shunammite woman was comfortable by all human standards, she had no child. These show different needs in different people’s lives. But the all sufficient God has solutions to all of our needs.

The first had her solution right in her house but it amounted to nothing until the All Sufficient God was brought in by His prophet. All she needed to do was to obey the prophet. And when she did that, the results were beyond her expectations. The second woman said, “I have a home among my people my own people.” That is to say that she was comfortable, forgetting her felt need (vs. 14-17). But the All Sufficient God was aware of her inner cry and her hospitality to the man of God. In order to appreciate her kindness and love, Elisha promised her that she would conceive a son at an appointed time and it came to pass. Christ is the answer to all our needs, no matter how big or small.

QUESTION: Do you trust the All Sufficient God to meet any of your needs in life?

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, please help me to trust the All Sufficient God to meet all of my needs, in Jesus name, Amen.
