*WALK BY FAITH AND THE SPIRIT*

*Joel 3:10, Isaiah 33:24 (LB), 1Peter 2:24 (GNB)* _Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. *The people of Israel will no longer say, “We are sick and helpless,” for the Lord will forgive them their sins and bless them. *Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed._

Until we see our challenges the way God sees them and we react to them as God reacts to them, we will not experience the victory that God has already provided for us over those challenges.

Always remember that you already have victory over that situation. Do not be carnally minded. Do not let what you are seeing or hearing physically make you doubt the victory God has already given you over that situation. See your victory in the spirit and hold on to it. In Christ, God has forgiven you all your sins and He has blessed you. He has blessed you with every spiritual blessing you need for every area of your life. Jesus said we should be of good cheer because He has overcome the world, (John 16:33). Jesus has destroyed the power the devil had over us, (Heb.2:14). We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us, (Rom.8:37). “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith,” (1John 5:4, NKJV).

The devil will always try to challenge the word that God has declared concerning you but you must learn how to stand for what God has said about you until it comes to pass. Cast down that negative imagination by declaring the truth of Christ concerning you, (2 Cor.10:3-5).

*Action Point:*
Declare God’s word concerning that area of your life. Declare that you are healed, righteous and blessed because of Jesus.

*YOUR PERSECUTION AND TRIALS ARE PERFECTING YOU*

*Hebrews 2:10 (CEV), Hebrews 5:8-9 (GNB)* _Everything belongs to God, and all things were created by his power. So God did the right thing when he made Jesus perfect by suffering, as Jesus led many of God's children to be saved and to share in his glory. *But even though he was God's Son, he learned through his sufferings to be obedient. When he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him_

In fulfilling the ministry and assignment that God has given us, there are persecutions and trials that we must go through. These persecutions and trials are not punishment from God, and they are not things like sickness that Jesus has suffered and died for us to have victory over. They are mainly challenges we will face from people and situations as we live for Christ and as we embark on fulfilling the assignment God has given us. For example, the reason Paul suffered the way that he did was not because of the things he did before he began to follow Jesus. It was because of the ministry and assignment that God had given him (Acts 9:15-16). Jesus also had to go through such suffering to prepare and perfect Him for the assignment God the Father had given Him.

One way we are perfected through persecution and trials is seen in how gold is purified in fire, and it becomes more valuable. Our faith is purified and strengthened (1Pet.1:7). The testing of our faith produces steadfastness and leads to our perfection (James 1:2-4). Our faith in God gets stronger as we exercise it in such situations. Another way we are perfected is that the things we go through produce compassion in us. Compassion makes us better ministers. We better understand what people go through and can help them overcome, just like Jesus does for us (Heb. 4:14-16).

*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I thank you that my persecution and trials are strengthening my faith and building compassion inside me.

*KNOW AND FULFILL YOUR MINISTRY*

*Colossians 4:17 (KJV, TPT, CEV), Ephesians 4:7*
_And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. *Be sure you give Archippus this message: “Be faithful to complete the ministry you received from our Lord Jesus!” *Remind Archippus to do the work that the Lord has given him to do. *But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ._

Every believer has received a ministry from the Lord Jesus Christ. This ministry is a function or service God wants us to carry out to bless others. Like every part of your body has a specific role or function, as a part of the Body of Christ, you also have a specific role or function. In Christ, God has gifted and equipped you for the ministry/ assignment He has given you. We do not choose our ministry or assignment, we discover it. We discover it as we serve and receive training in the Body of Christ and as we follow the leading of the Spirit.

Every ministry is a reflection of Christ and we all are ambassadors of Christ. Every believer has been given the ministry of reconciliation, (2 Cor.5:18-20). No matter your ministry, you must do the work of an evangelist. “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry,” (2Tim.4:5). Don’t despise your ministry, magnify it, (Rom.11:13). Do not compare yourself and compete with others. Cooperate and work effectively together with others, (Eph.4:16). Keep growing into the fullness of Christ. Do not allow anything to move or discourage you (Acts 20:24). Be steadfast and unmovable and give yourself abundantly to the work of the Lord. Your labour is not in vain in the Lord, (1 Cor.15:58). Jesus Himself will reward you, (Rev.22:12).

*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, as I grow into the fullness of Christ, please help me to know and adequately fulfill the ministry you have given me.

*GUARD YOUR HEART FROM BITTERNESS AND OFFENSE*

*Psalms 106:32-33, Hebrews 12:14-15*
_They angered him also at the waters of strife so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes: Because they provoked his spirit so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips. *Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;_

Instead of speaking to the rock as God told him to, out of anger Moses spoke harshly to the people and then struck the rock twice. Though water still came out abundantly from the rock, God was not pleased with Moses, (Numb.20:8-12). If we are not careful, what happened to Moses can happen to anyone; especially when you are a leader.

One major way to guard your heart against bitterness and offense is by not losing sight of the love and kindness of God. When you focus more on the wickedness and hurt men give to you, bitterness and offense will take root in your heart. But when you focus more on the love and kindness of God, your heart will be so filled with the love of God that instead of allowing the evil that men do to provoke and overcome you, you will find yourself overcoming evil with good, (Rom.12:19-21).

Another way to guard your heart is by always yielding to the leading of the Spirit of God. God is always at work in you by His Spirit, making you willing and able to do His good will, (Phil.2:13). As you yield to the Spirit, instead of fulfilling the lusts of your flesh, you will develop the fruit of the Spirit, (Gal.5:16-23). “If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day. Don't give the Devil a chance,” (Eph.4:26-27, GNB). Yield to the Spirit of God.

*Prayer:*
Dear Father, please help me to always focus on your great love and kindness and to keep yielding myself to your Spirit.

*GOD WANTS YOU TO BE MORE IMPACTFUL AND EFFICIENT*

*Exodus 18:13-15 & 17*
_The next day Moses was settling disputes among the people, and he was kept busy from morning till night. When Jethro saw everything that Moses had to do, he asked, "What is all this that you are doing for the people? Why are you doing this all alone, …" Moses answered, "I must do this because the people come to me to learn God's will. *Then Jethro said, "You are not doing this right._

Moses was zealously and faithfully leading the Israelites (who were about 2 million in number) all by himself. However he was ignorant about something he was doing that was limiting his leadership impact and efficiency. In the same way, there may be things both you and many other leaders are ignorant of that can greatly enhance your impact and efficiency. God sent Moses wisdom through Jethro and by that wisdom, Moses’ leadership impact and efficiency were phenomenally enhanced. Various leaders were chosen according to their capacities, to join Moses in leading the Israelites, (Exo.18:21). More people were eventually empowered and built into leadership.

I pray that God will send you wisdom today that will help you take what you are doing to the next level. I pray the same for all our leaders in this nation and the Body of Christ. May the Lord phenomenally increase our impact and efficiency by opening our eyes to great and relevant wisdom. May we not resist or miss out on the wisdom that God sends to us through various sources.

We must, however, always be open and willing to learn and to try new things. Don’t be stuck in your old ways. Also, be willing to evaluate your work and think of ways you can improve and be more efficient.

*Prayer Focus:*
Ask God to send you and other leaders, great wisdom that will lead to an increase in leadership impact and efficiency.

*THE FOCUS AND CONTENTMENT OF JESUS*

*Luke 4:5-8 (GNB)*
_Then the Devil took him up and showed him in a second all the kingdoms of the world. "I will give you all this power and all this wealth," the Devil told him. "It has all been handed over to me, and I can give it to anyone I choose. All this will be yours, then, if you worship me." Jesus answered, "The scripture says, 'Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!'"_

In our world today, power and wealth are two things that many people are willing to do about anything to get. Power and wealth have become a god to many people. It is what they worship though they claim they are worshipping God. The Bible shows us that covetousness is idolatry, (Col.3:5b). Whatever you allow to take the place of God in your life has become a god to you. God wants us to be content and to worship Him alone. Jesus said, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses,” (Luke 12:15). 1 Timothy 6:6 & 10 says, “But godliness with contentment is great gain. *For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

There was a time when Jesus refused to be forcefully made king by certain people, (John 6:15). Jesus knew the path God wanted Him to take and He was willing to patiently go through it. Jesus was willing to worship God alone and as He followed God’s path for His life, He eventually received all power in Heaven and earth, (Matt.28:18, Phil.2:9). Jesus was not carried away by power, titles or fame. He did not allow His popularity and many activities to stop Him from withdrawing Himself often to pray (Luke 5:16, NIV).

*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, like Jesus, please help me to remain content, and focused on you and to follow you as I fulfill my assignment.

*PLAY YOUR ROLE IN BUILDING OTHERS UP*

*1 CORINTHIANS 14:26 (TPT), EPHESIANS 4:16b*
_Beloved friends, what does all this imply? When you conduct your meetings, you should always let everything be done to build up the church family. Whether you share a song of praise, a teaching, a divine revelation, or a tongue and interpretation, let each one contribute what strengthens others. …And every member has been given divine gifts to contribute to the growth of all…_

The growth and perfection of the Body of Christ take place as every single part/ member of the Body of Christ grows up in Christ and effectively plays its part in blessing and building the Body of Christ, (Eph.4:16). There is something God has chosen and equipped you to do to bless and build the lives of others up. Are you faithfully doing it? Or are you still hiding that talent or ability that God has given you?

When you are preparing for a church service, your mind should not only be on what you are going to get or gain in the service, but also on what you are going to contribute to be a blessing and encouragement to others. Think and pray about this. Ask God to prepare you and use you to bless and strengthen someone in one way or the other. Romans 14:19 (GNB) says, “So then, we must always aim at those things that bring peace and that help strengthen one another.”

Look for an opportunity where you can serve and join others to be a blessing. “Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love,” (Heb. 10:24, TPT). A songwriter said, “It is His will that every need be supplied. You are important to me, I need you to survive”.

*PRAYER:*
I THANK YOU DEAR LORD FOR CHOOSING AND EQUIPPING ME TO BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS. PLEASE USE ME TO BLESS SOMEONE TODAY AND ALWAYS, AMEN

*HAVE A STRONG RIGHTEOUSNESS CONSCIOUSNESS*

*ROMANS 10:4 (KJV, NLT, LB)*
_For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. *For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God. They don't understand that Christ gives to those who trust in him everything they are trying to get by keeping his laws. He ends all of that._

God does not define righteousness by the obeying of the Law but by our having faith in Christ. Romans 3:21-22 (GNB) says, “But now God's way of putting people right with himself has been revealed. It has nothing to do with law, .... God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, ...” If you believe in Jesus, you are righteous. It is when you believe that you are righteous that you will be able to live a righteous life.

There is a divine exchange that took place on the Cross. Christ took our place and became our sin so that we can take His place and become His righteousness, (2 Cor.5:21). Jesus has forgiven and taken away all your sins. God has no record of them and He will never have a record of them, (Jer.31:34, Heb.8:12). “For God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men's sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others”, (2Cor.5:19, LB). God's righteousness is a gift that comes along with His grace in Christ and He wants you to receive it abundantly, (Rom.5:17). By your faith in Christ, you now stand before God, man and the devil without a single sense of guilt or inferiority. You are perfect in the sight of God (Heb.10:14) and you have a right to all of the power and the blessings and the glory of God.

*FAITH DECLARATION:*
MY FAITH IN CHRIST HAS MADE ME RIGHTEOUS. I MANIFEST GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO THE FULLNESS OF GOD, AMEN

*YOU SHALL NOT EXPERIENCE SHAME*

*JOEL 2:25-26, PSALMS 3:3*
_And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, ... And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. *But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head._

By His sufferings and death on the Cross for you, Jesus has taken away your shame, sorrow and pains, (Isa.53:3-5). Even when it seems like you are experiencing shame even when you are doing what is right, know that God is going to turn it around. A greater joy and glory is coming ahead of you, (1Pet.4:16, Isa. 61:7). Keep your trust in God. Isaiah 49:23 (GNB) says, “Kings will be like fathers to you; queens will be like mothers. They will bow low before you and honor you; they will humbly show their respect for you. Then you will know that I am the LORD; no one who waits for my help will be disappointed." Beloved, do not give up. Isaiah 50:7 (CEV) says, “But the LORD God keeps me from being disgraced. So I refuse to give up because I know God will never let me down”. God is the lifter of your head.

The Bible says whoever believes in Jesus shall not be put to shame, (Rom.9:33, Rom.10:11). You shall not be put to shame. God loves you so much and your hope will not be disappointed, (Rom.5:5). Study, prepare yourself and be diligent in every area of your life, (2Tim.2:15). Avoid doing things you know you will be ashamed of later, (2Cor.4:2 & Rom.6:21). Be bold to testify and stand for Christ, (2Tim.1:8). As you abide in Christ by remaining in faith and fellowship with Him, you will not be ashamed both now and when He returns, (1John 2:28).

*FAITH DECLARATION:*
GOD IS MY GLORY, MY SHIELD, AND THE LIFTER OF MY HEADS. I SHALL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME. GOD'S JOY AND GLORY ARE MY PORTION.

*TAKEN AWAY!*

*ISAIAH 53:4-5 (NIV), MATTHEW 8:16-17*
_Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, ... But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. When the even was come, ...he healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled ... Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses._

The healing power of God is coming upon you right now. Is there any pain, sickness, disease or negative health condition in your body right now? Right now, I declare an end to it because that condition no longer has a legal right to remain in your body. Jesus has taken it away! Jesus has healed you already. By His stripes, you are healed. Your total and perfect healing was part of your redemption package in Christ. As Jesus was taking away your sins, He took that health condition on His body also and He destroyed it completely.1 Peter 2:24 says, “Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed.”

Just as Moses lifted the bronze serpent all who looked at it were healed from the affliction of the fiery serpents, Jesus has been lifted on the Cross for you. As you look to Him and what He has done for you right now, you will be free from that affliction, (John 3:14). There is someone who has an eye condition that is healed now. Yes, receive your healing now! All manners of sicknesses and diseases are healed right now! Whatever your condition is, receive your healing now in the name of Jesus! Lay your hand on that place if you can, and command that discomfort to go because Jesus has taken it away! Halleluyah! Rise and walk! Stretch yourself! Start doing what you could not do before.

*FAITH DECLARATION:*
JESUS HAS TAKEN AWAY EVERY SICKNESS FROM MY LIFE, BY HIS SUFFERING AND DEATH FOR ME. I RECEIVE MY HEALING NOW, AMEN

*RECEIVE THE VICTORY OF CHRIST OVER THAT SITUATION*

*John 16:33 (CEV), Romans 8:37 (LB), 2Corinthians 2:14*
_I have told you this, so that you might have peace in your hearts because of me. While you are in the world, you will have to suffer. But cheer up! I have defeated the world. *but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us.*Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ_

Jesus did not only die for our sins. He died so that we might have His life and victory in every single area of our lives. Jesus came that you may have His life and have it more abundantly, (John 10:10). God is concerned about every area of your life (Matt.10:30) and He has promised to perfect ALL that concerns you, (Psa.138:8). Beloved, God is not condemning you; rather, He is always at work in you, lovingly helping you to overcome and experience His victory. Jesus has victoriously gone through what you are going through and He wants you to come boldly to receive His mercy and grace for that situation, (Heb.4:14-16). He wants you to be of good cheer. He has already given you victory in that situation. What Jesus has done for you is more powerful than the effects of what Adam did, (Rom.5:17).

No matter what you may be going through right now, in all those things you are more than conquerors through Christ’s love for you. Jesus has already given you the victory and He wants you to receive His victory into your life. When you receive the victory of Christ over the situation, it will reflect in your thoughts, words and actions. It will reflect in your countenance. Stop trying to win and get the victory. Receive the victory Christ has already won for you and declare it into your life. Rejoice about it and God will lead you to experience it.

*Faith Declaration:*
I receive the victory Christ has won for me! I am victorious! I am free, I am healed, I am blessed, I am favoured!
