TOPIC: Fear Not
TEXT: Gen. 15:1; Luke 12:6-7
Introduction

Fear is the worry of the future. It is a strong and unpleasant grip of emotion, and it is one of the devil's favourite tools to limit us from God's plan and purpose for our lives. Fear blocks our ability to receive from God, yet God does not want us to worry. He calls us to trust Him in every season.

How Fear Gains Ground

The devil strengthens fear through the information we listen to. What we watch and dwell on shapes how we see our future. Left unchecked, negative words and reports can grow into overwhelming fear. We must be careful what we allow into our minds.

Four Ways to Overcome Fear

1. Be an Ardent Reader of God's Word Faith comes by hearing God's word. The more we meditate on Scripture, the less room fear has to stand.

2. Live Prayerfully Prayer exchanges our worries for God's peace. A consistent prayer life keeps our hearts anchored no matter what happens around us.

3. Walk in Righteousness Righteousness gives us boldness before God. A clean heart brings peace of mind, while sin and guilt often open the door to fear.

4. Know Who You Are in Christ Fear thrives when we forget our identity. In Christ, we are children of God and more than conquerors. Knowing this breaks fear's power over us.

Conclusion

Fear magnifies obstacles; faith magnifies God. Let us choose faith over fear by feeding on God's word, praying without ceasing, walking in righteousness, and standing firm in who we are in Christ. As we do, fear will lose its grip, and we will walk boldly in God's purpose for our lives.

May God strengthen our hearts and fill us with faith, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Topic: Angels Working in our Favour
Angels are supernatural, spiritual beings commonly described as messengers, guides, or intermediaries between the divine and humanity. The Lord assigns angels to His people to help them, remain with them, and provide comfort.
Works of the Angels
1. They make the Word of God effective; they obey God’s Word and accomplish His purposes. They serve as messengers (Revelation 19:11; Luke 1:11–25).
2. They carry out God’s will and pleasure.
3. They enable the saints to serve and live in relative safety, free from danger and evil influences.
4. They act as defenders in times of conflict.
5. They form a permanent hedge of protection around God’s throne.
How to Enlist the Angels’ Help
1. Know the Father and recognize that angels are present around you.
2. Have confidence in God’s power and faithfulness.
3. Receive guidance through sermons and persistent prayer.
4. Understand that angels may respond to clear spiritual commands.
5. Invoke them in the name of Jesus in prayer.
