Sometimes God stops some people from helping you so that they won't have opportunity to say in future that you won't have become anything meaningful if not because of the help they offered you.
God will not share the glory/credit due Him with another.

One of the major causes of unanswered prayers is wrong focus in prayers.
Instead of praying for good results, focus more on praying for GRACE TO DO THE RIGHT THINGS YOU NEED TO KEEP DOING TO ACHIEVE YOUR DESIRED RESULTS.
For example, instead of praying for excellent results in your exams, focus on praying for grace to do the right things(diligent study with understanding and others) that will grant you excellent results in your exams.
