SUNDAY SERMON JUNE WEEK THREE
TOPIC : WHEN THE FIRE FALLS
TEXT : 1 Kings 18:37,38; Acts 3:1-4

(A) Introduction
" When the Fire Falls " is an idiom for an outpouring of the power of God and the manifestation of God's divine presence. When the fire falls, certain things happen. Let's consider some of them.

(1) It confirms God's presence and demonstrates the superiority of His authority.
1 Kings 18:37,38.

(2) It produces purification for God's people. God is called a consuming Fire. Heb 12:29.
Prophet Isaiah in the Old Testament, in a vision. needed purification, an angel took a coal of fire from the altar, touched his lips, and purifed him. Isaiah 6:6,7
For the Christian, God's fire does not fall upon us to destroy us. It falls to destroy our yokes, to destroy the things holding back our spiritual lives, in order to set us free to accomplish life and ministry.

(3) It brings us empowerment for life and ministry
Acts 1:8; 2:3. Christian life without the Holy Spirit is impossible. Nobody can fulfil a spiritual calling with natural talents. We need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Even in the Old Testament, God told Zerubabel, it is not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit.
Zechariah 4:6
Compare Peter in Luke 22: 54-72, and Peter in Acts 2: 14-41.

(4) The fire brings revelation and direction
Acts 13: 2-4 ; 1 John 2:20,27. 1 Cor 2: 9, 10.

(5) It results in Manifestations of Signs and Wonder. Acts 3: 1-10

(B) Conclusion
The fire from heaven, God's spiritual fire, is not just an emotional experience, it is a necessity if we must move from empty rituals to the manifestation of God's power. Desire it, pray for it and prepare for it's fall.

SERMON FOR JUNE 2026 WEEK ONE.
TOPIC: LET THE FIRE FALL
TEXT: Acts 1:4, 5, 8; 2:1-4
A. INTRODUCTION
Fire is one of the symbols of the Holy Spirit. On the Pentecost day, the Holy Spirit
manifested as fire. Fire in the scripture also symbolizes:
(a) God's presence (Ex 3:2)
(b) God's power (1 Kings 18:38)
"Let the fire fall" is therefore a cry for a fresh presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
B. THE PENTECOST STORY
Jesus told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for "the promise of the Father," that was a
reference to the coming of the Holy Spirit. He made it clear by the instruction in Acts
1:4, 5, 8. that receiving the empowerment of the Holy Spirit was an absolute necessity
for an effective life and ministr.
C. THE CONDITIONS FOR THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ON
PENTECOST
L. Positioning: Jesus told them to position themselves for the fall of the fire by staying in
Jerusalem and tarrying. Tarrying means waiting with concentration and expectation.
2. Unity: The account says they were in one accord. One heart, one purpose. Disunity
grieves and quenches the Holy Spirit. James 3:16; Eph. 4:30
3. Persistence: The disciples tarried and prayed for ten days before the Holy Spirit came
(Luke 18:1).
4. Obedience: Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem and they obeyed. God always
manifests His presence where His people operate according to His will. Disobedience
will delay and even abort manifestation.
(D) HOW THE FIRE MANIFESTS
Acts 2:1, 2. Note the following:-
(a) The fire brought visible manifestation. When the fire falls, there occurs an undeniable
evidence of God's manifest presence.
(b) The tongue of fire rested upon each one of them in the Upper Room. When the fire
falls, men and women receive personal encounters. The fire is not just for the pastors,
it is for every believer (See Mark 16:15-17; John 7: 38). Every Christian must move from congregational experience to a personal encounter.
(E) CONCLUSION
This month, the Holy Spirit is visiting every member of the church for an encounter.
Position yourself by repairing your altar through repentance and confession. Present a
new wine skin to God for a fresh filling.

TOPIC: KEYS FOR PROVOKING DIVINE FAVOUR
TEXT: EX 3: 21,22; PROV 16:7; PSA 5:12
(A) Introduction
God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. The earth and the fullness thereof belong to Him, and He dispenses His favour according to His will and mercy. But there are principles in His Word that constitute keys for provoking His favour. We will consider some of them in this message.
(B) Keys
(1) The fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is holy reverence for God that makes a man avoid sin. Job 1:8;
(2) Holy living
Gen 1:5-9; Prov 12:34; Psalm 5:12.
(3) Obedience to God's word and instructions. Isaiah 1:19
(4) Sacrificial giving
Gen 22: 10-18
(5) Soul Winning Prov 11:30
Dan 12:3;
(6) Kingdom Investment
Haggai 1:5-11;

(C) Conclusion
Every promise of God has personal responsibilities. Living a life of obedience to God is the key to enjoying divine favour.

SERMON FOR MAY 2026 WEEK TWO
TOPIC: YOU SHALL NOT GO EMPTY HANDED
POWER OF DIVINE FAVOUR
TEXT: Ex 3:20-23; 11:1-3; Psalm 5:12.
A) INTRODUCTION
How Israel spoiled the Egyptians upon their exit from Egypt was not by
accident, it was not luck, it was not a coincident. It was the product of a
deliberate plan of God, the details of which He gave Moses in advance of the
event. The secret of what happened was divine favour. God gave them favour
in the eyes of the Egyptians. The Egyptians could not resist the power of
divine favour that was upon the people of Israel that night.
B) WHAT IS DIVINE FAVOUR?
Favour is a condition or situation produced by the grace of God, His mercy
and kindness that He shows to a man, a group, a place, which gives the man,
group or place access to supernatural help and preferential treatment by God.
In some of its many dimensions, Favour can be unmerited, that is, occurring
absolutely by the choice of God. But favour is merited. You can provoke it,
nurture it and increase it by following very clear scriptural principles. See
Prov. 13:15.
C) FAVOUR WITH GOD AND WITH MAN
The Bible said about Jesus "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and
in favour with God and man". Luke 2:52.
It is God's system to use men to reach men. Favour is God working in
partnership with one man in order to reach another man. Consider Luke
6:38. The concept of destiny helpers is the reality that God uses men to
help other men to accomplish divine destiny. Favour with God has its own
principles and favour with man has its peculiar principles for provoking it.
D) WHEN FAVOUR COMES
a) Divine favour brings restoration. Job 42:10-15.
b) It brings deliverance from general calamity Gen 6:8.
c) Divine favour makes a man God's friend who can speak with God face to
face. Ex 33:11. Divine favour through Jesus, now gives every redeemed
person the privilege to speak with God.
d) Divine favour can lift a man from prison to the palace Gen 39:21; 50:20
e) It brings divine blessings all round Ps 5:12.
f) It changes destiny and brings supernatural promotion. Esther 2:16-18.
E) CONCLUSION
There are many other things divine favour does to a man's destiny.

SERMON OUTLINE MAY WEEK ONE
TOPIC : YOU SHALL NOT GO EMPTY HANDED
TEXT: EX 4:21,22

(A) INTRODUCTION
God is the God of divine compensation. He is interested in not just delivering His people, but also compensating them by restoring the years of the locust. After 430 years of bo***ge in Egypt, He designed a system for their restoration.

(B) WHAT IS EGYPT
Egypt is a symbol of demonic bo***ge, delays, destiny imprisonment, resistance to breakthrough, and all circumstances blocking blessings and stealing opportunities. Over and above delivering us from Egyptian bo***ge, God wants to restore to us all the years the locust consumed. Obediah 1:17, Zech 9:11,12

(C) THE POWER OF DIVINE FAVOUR
One of the greatest instruments of God for the restoration of destiny is divine favour. Ex 11:1-3. Divine favour produces revelation, divine speed, the suspension of natural laws for the benefit of the favoured.

(D) BUT YOU MUST OBEY
EX 12: 35,36

CONCLUSION
God knows all you have been through. He hears you cries. He told Moses that concerning Israel. EX 3:1-4. His total package for you is deliverance plus divine compensation. Believe Him. Wait for Him. His promises don't fail.
