TOPIC: RESTORING THE YEARS OF THE LOCUST (PTI)
TEXT: Joel 2: 25-27; Jer. 43: 17-19
Pastor. Mike O Onyeka

A) INTRODUCTION
One of the names of God that explains one of His characteristics is "The God of Restoration" The Bible contains the story of Job who, because of an attack from the devil, lost everything that made him a billionaire in one day. The Bible said, at the end of his trial, God restored him double for everything he lost. See Job 42:10-17. And our text in Joel 2:25 contains a promise of restoration of the years the locust has eaten to every child of God. In the Bible, the locust represents devastation, loses, sometimes, arising from divine judgment. For the purposes of restoration, the man or woman who deserves restoration must realize what is lost and be clear about what he or she wants to be restored. This realization and clarity has a lot to do with the knowledge of the locust and how they operate.

CONCLUSION:
The Lord has spoken and His word cannot fall to the ground. Wisdom is the
principal thing, seek for wisdom and by understanding, position yourself for
the restoration.

SUNDAY SERMON OUTLINE MARCH WEEK THREE
Topic: The Dangers of Impatience With God's Timing
Text : 1 Sam 13:8-14; Psalm 130:5

(A) Introduction
Impatience is the behaviour of responding negatively to waiting. It is the opposite of patience, which is the ability to endure delay, opposition, or resistance.
From the perspective of the Bible, Impatience is the feeling we begin to have when we start doubting the wisdom of God's timing, or the fairness of His direction. Impatience implies our acceptance of the truth of God's promises and the rejection of His timing. The root of Impatience with God's timing is lack of trust and unbelief.

(B) Two Possible Results of Impatience
(1) Giving up completely
(2) Pursuing one's own alternative

(C) Factors That Can Fuel Impatience
(1) Desparation
(2) Fear of Tommorrow
(3) Peer Pressure
(4) Competition
(5) Ungodly Counsel

(D) Bible Men Who Became Impatient
Saul : 1 Sam 13 : 8-14
Abraham: Gen 16: 1-4

(E) Dealing With Impatience.
(1) Rely on God and His promises
Prov 3:5,6
(2) Build your faith by a constant and deep study of the word. Ps 130: 5.
(3) Remember your past testimonies.
(4) Make the waiting period an active period. Don't just sit down and wait for time to merely pass.
(5) Avoid ungodly counsel. Psalm 1:1-3.
(6) Don't be afraid of tomorrow. Math 6: 34.

(F) CONCLUSION
God makes all things beautiful in His time. Trust Him and wait for Him.

TOPIC: WAITING FOR GOD'S TIMING
TEXTS: ECCL 3:11; ROMANS 8:28

(A) INTRODUCTION
God has a timetable for every event under the sun. Eccl 3:1.
Man has his own timing and his expectations about events on the earth. But in many cases, our timing does not align with God's own time. So, many times in life, we fall into the reality of having to wait for God's own timetable for our lives.

So waiting for God's timing is to believe that God will visit us concerning that need or expectation in His own time which is the perfect time and act in line with that belief.

(B) HOW TO WAIT FOR GOD'S TIMING
God does not give to anyone the details of his timetable. That belongs to His secret things. Deut. 29:29; Eccl 3: 11b; Acts 2:7.
There are some biblical principles for waiting, effectively for God's timing.
1. Be conscious of the fact that God is mindful of you and is touched by our cries and is ready to answer our cries. Luke 21:18; Rom 8: 32.

2. Be active. Use the waiting period to occupy yourself in kingdom service. Use the waiting period to develop yourself and to increase in your relationship with God.

3. Watch and keep your expectations. Do not lose hope. Even if the vision tarries, hold on to it, do not lose hope. Hab 3:2-4

4.Do not be angry, do not fret. Be Still And Patient. Ps 27: 14; 37: 7,8.

5. Continue in Prayer with Thanksgiving. Col 4:2.

6. Remember your past testimonies.

7. Wait on the Lord and renew your strength. Is. 40:31.

8. Don't lose your faith. Heb. 10: 3

(C) CONCLUSION
Waiting for God's timing is not easy. But it's a sign of our trust in the goodness of God and in His wisdom.
