Eternal Sacred Order Of Cherubim & Seraphim, Aba Province WE ARE MEMBERS OF CHERUBIM AND SERAPHIM, JAH JEHOVAH IS OUR GOD, HOLY MICHAEL IS OUR CAPTAIN AND WE St. "Cherubim" was added to the name in May 1926.

Moses Orimolade Tunolase: The Founder of The Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church (Mount-Zion)

The Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim is a Christian Trinitarian church established in Nigeria by Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase on September 9, 1925. Like John Wesley, Moses Orimolade did not aim to set up a separate church, but found that the missionary churches of the time

did not welcome his approach to the faith. The church originated as an association of prayer groups or "bands" of up to 20-30 members. This loose structure made it extremely easy for different groups to separate from the main body, and the ESOC&S is thus notable for the numerous groups, many of them small, which sprang from it but remain related to it. There are five principal streams:

* Eternal Sacred Order of the Seraphim and Cherubim
* Cherubim and Seraphim Society
* Praying Band
* Cherubim and Seraphim Movement
* Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim

The ESOC&S is an Aladura church and one of the principal members of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches. The tenets of the ESOC&S are Biblical, and the worship is broadly similar to that of the Pentecostals. The church continues to grow and ESOC&S churches are established in the United Kingdom and in the United States. Present membership is estimated at about over 10 million worldwide.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.

We all have had those tasks that we feel too weak to accomplish and these areas cover a wide spectrum of circumstances; from an athlete running a marathon to an overweight person battling food addiction, to someone too tired to care for a sick relative another day. The list goes on and on for the times that we feel too weak within ourselves to complete the task at hand. This verse inspires us to look outside of ourselves and look to Jesus's power.

Romans 8:28
All things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose.

Who in this life has not experienced difficult life circumstances and wondered about the purpose for their pain and suffering. This not only includes suffering through violence, trauma and loss, but through a myriad of difficult, seemingly senseless and hopeless situations. We can find hope knowing that the situation will ultimately work for our good.

Day 40 (GRAND FINALE)

TOPIC: THE HOLY SATURDAY
TEXT: MATTHEW 27:62-66

CONCLUSION/ ADMONITION
The death of Christ was ordered, so as to be witnessed by thousands; and if His resurrection takes place, it must be demonstrated; and it cannot take place without being incontestable, such are the precautions used here to prevent all imposture. The more the circumstances of the death of Christ are examined, the more astonishing the whole will appear. The death is uncommon-the person uncommon-and the object uncommon; and the whole is grand, majestic, and awful. In every part, the finger of God most evidently appeared. The chief priests apprehended that if the doctrine of Christ's resurrection be once preached and believed, the last error would be worse than the first; a proverbial expression, intimating no more than this, that we shall all be routed, all undone. They thought it was their error, that they had so long connived at His preaching and miracles, which error they thought they had rectified by putting Him to death; but if people should be persuaded of His resurrection, that would spoil all again, His interest would revive with Him, and theirs must would sink, who had so barbarously murdered Him. Note, Those that opposed Christ and His kingdom, will see not only their attempts baffled, but themselves miserably plunged and embarrassed, their errors each worse than other, and the last worst of all, Psa 2:4-5. Let the death of Christ have meaning in your life, and never attempt to distort its essence.

Day 39 (GOOD FRIDAY)

THE SEVEN WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS

INTRODUCTION

The words which Jesus uttered on the Cross are worthy of special consideration. His words were not many in number. They would not fill a single page of an average sized book. They are not the big, long, unfamiliar kinds of words which would cause the average person to check for meanings in the dictionary. But the last words of Jesus are important because of who uttered them, where they were uttered, why they were spoken, and what they mean. They are precious because they are deep, deep expressions of a Man of Sorrows in His time of terrible agony in those moments when He actually purchased our redemption.
Earlier, Jesus had said, "This is your hour when darkness reigns" (Luke 22:53). He had prayed earnestly three times, "if it be possible, let this cup pass from me." He knew where the cup of suffering came from. Jesus said, "The cup which my heavenly Father hath given unto me, shall I not drink (of) it?" We read in Isaiah 53:10 that "it pleased the Lord to bruise him." What happened on the Cross as Jesus died was that He took everyone else place. He tasted death for all human beings. He hath borne our grieves and carried our sorrows. With His stripes we are healed. I believe sincerely that every individual person's potential hell was condensed in that cup of suffering.

And Jesus drank it all. For the first and only time He was experiencing the terrifying separation from God, by being in the place not only of the sinner, but also of the sin-bearer. Perhaps we should check the words which we have spoken during the last week. What things did we talk about most? The solemn words uttered from the Cross are a profound reminder of the great price that was paid for us. Let us never take it lightly.

Day 38 (HOLY WEEK)

TOPIC: THE LORD’S SUPPER
TEXT: LUKE 22:7-33

CONCLUSION/ ADMONITION
At Jesus’ last supper with His disciples before His death, the disciples got into a lively discussion about who would be greatest in His upcoming kingdom. Why did they jockey for position at a time like this (Luke 22:24)? Did they simply not want to believe the bad news, or didn’t they care? Capitalizing on their self-centeredness, Jesus explained that to be great they must serve others (22:25-27). It’s easy to criticize the disciples for their self-centeredness, but that’s the way we are, too. Sometimes we have great concern for our own ascent to greatness, wealth, and prestige. But Christ commands us to do as He did by serving others. About what desires for career advancement, better reputation, or public achievement do you dream? Rather than just serving your ambitions, look for opportunities to serve others.

Day 37 (HOLY WEEK)

TOPIC: QUESTIONING IN ULTERIOR MOTIVES
TEXT: MATTHEW 22:23-45

CONCLUSION
I know some people who at every slightest provocation concerning their faith would lose their temper and would wage a war to protect their religious belief. This is not what Christ did. He did not fight the Scribes, nor the elders when they were bombarding Him with heretic questions that were so provocative, rather He took control and made them understand that He was truly sent to establish a kingdom here on earth.
So as a true Christian, let us learn to keep to the faith of Jesus Christ. Desist from tempting those in authority just to make them fail in their mission and then the name of God is profaned.

Day 36 (HOLY WEEK)

TOPIC: UNGRATEFULNESS
TEXT: MATTHEW 25:13-28

CONCLUSION
Reader, if the unprofitable servant, against whom no flagrant iniquity is charged, be punished with an outer darkness, with a hell of fire: of what sorer punishment must he be judged worthy, who is a murderer, an adulterer, a fornicator, a blasphemer, a thief, a liar, or in any respect an open violator of the laws of God? The unprofitable servants, can be compared with Christians who are, notwithstanding, dreaming of an endless heaven, when fitted only for an endless hell!

Day 35 (HOLY WEEK)

TOPIC: UNFRUITFULNESS
TEXT: MATTHEW 21:17-22

CONCLUSION/ADMONITION Our fruitfulness as Christians should not be impaired by the difficulties we face; rather, we should convert every difficulty into a useful tool for achieving maximum fruitfulness. One of the earliest commands God gave to man is to be fruitful; any unfruitful Christian is un-useful (a disaster to Christianity), and deserves to be cut down. How many converts have you given birth to for Christ? How many people have you led to Christ through your godly character disposition (mat 5:16; hymn 62 stanza 4 – let us with our manners call others to come); or are you an instrument of destruction rather than construction? Search your ways, and do the rights things.

Day 34 (HOLY WEEK)TOPIC:  	TRIUMPHAL ENTRYTEXT:    	MATTHEW 21:10-16CONCLUSION/ADMONITION                               ...
24/03/2013

Day 34 (HOLY WEEK)

TOPIC: TRIUMPHAL ENTRY
TEXT: MATTHEW 21:10-16

CONCLUSION/ADMONITION In an outburst of righteous anger, Jesus chased the merchants and money changers out of the Temple. They had been defiling the Temple by turning it into a marketplace and cheating those who had come to make offerings. Jesus’ rebuke of such sinful Temple practices reminds us to guard our own worship against corruption. We must always keep God and his desires at the center of worship and never allow other motives to lead us astray. THOSE THAT TAKE CHRIST FOR THEIR KING, MUST LAY THEIR ALL UNDER HIS FEET.

Day 33

TOPIC: SIN FOR NOT PAYING TITHES
TEXT: MALACHI 3:8-12

CONCLUSION/ADMONITION
Tithes and offerings belong to God by virtue of His covenant with us. Using it otherwise entails robbing God of what is due to Him which may attract curses (Mal. 3:8-12). Tithing is a proof of obedience and appreciation of God’s Blessings in our lives.– Mal 3:10.. Mathematically, any number multiplied by zero is zero. Each time GOD wants to do anything, he uses what is available to achieve a result, but when nothing is provided nothing is effected. For there to be an increase, something must be provided for GOD to work with. GOD is not a magician, He works systematically and methodologically. For Jesus to feed five thousand people, five loaves of bread and two fishes were provided; it was also the same case with Elijah and the widow of Zarephath (1 King 17:5-16); - so nothing produces nothing. Luke 6:38 gives a unique analogy of the concept – If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving-large or small-it will be used to measure what is given back to you. Become a shareholder in the work of God's ministry here on earth. Start tithing. It's a great investment for your future. Pay your tithe so that things will not be tight for you.
