SUNDAY 15th FEBRUARY 2026
PREACHER: REV'D IDIKA CHIJIOKE VALENTINE
TOPIC: GRACE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE {2}
1st Lesson: Genesis 37:1-36
2nd Lesson: 1Cor 12: 1-11

Grace is the uncreated energy freely given and actively working through and for us.
Grace is divine life shared with humanity.
A gift can stress you but Grace can never stress you. You don't just have a gift and relax. Your gift can put you in trouble, but only grace can deliver you. Joseph's brothers saw the gift but not the Grace. The gift of a man attracts envy, but the Grace of God attracts favour. If you have only gifts without Grace, you're a target.
Grace amplifies your small skills to having great results. Many people do not fall because of incompetency, but because their inferior lives is yet to be touched by Grace.
Every gift is a product of Grace. (ROM 12:6a)
SIMILARITIES BETWEEN GIFT AND GRACE
1. They all emanate from the Divine. Both of them come from above.
2. Their purpose is to cause an effect.
WHAT GRACE CAN DO THAT GIFT CANNOT
1. Grace has a large coverage, but gift has a small coverage. Grace is a larger umbrella than gift. {John 3:16}, {Eph 4: 7-11}. For God so loved the world.... (Grace). Now these are the gifts Christ gave..... (Eph 4:11)
2. Grace is consistent, but gifts are not. Grace has the power of working always but gift only functions when a man is willing or ready. Gifts can't function where there is no willingness. When the gift of a man cannot see a thing, grace can see it. Gift may not see all but Grace sees all. {Matt 25:14-25}; {2Cor 9:8}; {2Cor 12:9}; {1Peter 4:10}. You work to develop your gifts, but Grace works on you.
3. Grace has no end, but a gift has an end. Grace is unlimited. A man can lose a gift but man cannot lose Grace. When you have a gift and you don't feed it, you'll kill it. Your sin can kill your gift but it cannot kill Grace. We don't go for grace, rather Grace comes to us. {Titus 2:11}; {John 1:16}; {1Cor 13:8-13}. Prophecy (gift) will fail but Grace remains. Grace endureth forever. Where gift ends, Grace takes you beyond that.

Following the Christian home and Family life week, there was a cooking competition between the Men's Christian Association {MCA} and the Women's Guild {WG} today. It was quite interesting as the two teams showed a display of their cooking skills 🥳 to the audience. Here are some of the picture highlights.

SUNDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2025
PREACHER: REV'D IDIKA CHIJIOKE VALENTINE
TOPIC: Hosting the God of the 11th Hour
1st Lesson: Genesis 21:8-20
2nd Lesson: Matthew 20:1-16

The 11th hour is a time when everything suggests to you to give up. An 11th hour is a time when everything looks impossible. It's the period when you least expect a breakthrough, an intervention. When you look around all conditions and no hope. You can't find light at the end of the tunnel. It's heartbreaking knowing one is experienced in what he does and has put trust in God and yet no result.
In the midst of these challenges, don't give up for God can still show up in your 11th hour. You don't need to worry.
God doesn't work with human timing. He doesn't consider one's age. God works beyond human expectation.
The God of 11th hour is the God of Suddenly suddenly.
The God of 11th hour is the God of "And it came to pass".
The God of 11th hour is the God of surprises.
When you host the God of the 11th hour, hope is restored. He demonstrates his power by stepping into conditions that seem hopeless. The conclusion of men is the introduction of God. God doesn't come late, he doesn't come on time, when he comes is the perfect time. When you have Christ, you have all hope. (Job 14:7-9)
Your mistake cannot completely end your chances. Opportunity lost is opportunity given up on.(ECC 4:9)
When opportunity meets readiness, it becomes breakthrough.
When you host the God of 11th hour, all your expectations would be met {Eph 3:20; Luke 5:4-7; Prov 23:18}

VESSEL FOR HONOUR SERIES
SUNDAY 26TH JANUARY 2025
FINAL PART: BUILDING CAPACITY IN RELATIONSHIPS
Preacher: Rev'd Idika Chijioke Valentine
1st Lesson: Job 2:1-13
2nd Lesson: John 5:1-9; 2 Tim 2:20-21

To be honoured this year, you need a healthy and supportive relationship. Don't just build and ordinary relationship or one relationship, build relationships. There's need for strong relationship with your family members. To survive this cruel world requires a deep relationship but then this relationship also requires commitment. To have a good relationship, you must go beyond reaching out level into living for the people. You live your life for the people. In our first lesson Job 2, the wife of Jobe did not build a strong relationship to know that the husband doesn't give up in the face of affliction. That's why she told Job, can't you curse God and die? But Job's friends understood Job and began renting their clothes from afar as they were approaching Job. For you to show your friendship or love you must resemble that friend you are dying for.
A strong relationship grows beyond sympathy into emphathy. Being like the person who's in the trouble.
In our new testament text, the man at the pool had no man to take him into the water and he stayed for long there. By implication, you suffer for long when you don't have good relationships. The best way to get connections is by building relationships.

HOW DO I BUILD CAPACITY IN RELATIONSHIPS?
BY PARTNERSHIP
You can build capacity in relationships by partnership. It's more easier to achieve a goal if we have people by our side. Partnership makes struggle lesser. Try to partner with people. Partner with people in your business and their business. Make sure you're involved in their business. Be a source of strength to someone and you'll be valued. When you partner, you become a source of strength to someone. As you partner with your pastor on ministry, your pastor can ever joke with you.
Ecc 4:9-10&12; Prov 27:17; 1st Sam 20:42

YOU MUST BUILD RELATIONSHIPS BY ENCOURAGEMENT
The fastest way to get honour is when you're a source of encouragement to others. Learn to encourage. Don't be a source of discouragement. Don't tell people it cannot work. If you don't know what to say, shut up.
1Thess 5:11[NLT]; Heb 10:24-25[NLT]; Eph 4: 29[NLT]

DON'T CHANGE WITH THE SEASON
If you must build a quality relationship, don't change with the season. The worst friends you can have in life are friends that are seasonal. When you have seasonal friends, you're in trouble. Job's friends weren't seasonal. They ate with him when he was in good health. When Job was in a bad situation they were there with him. If you must be a person of honour you must not change with the season. When you abandon friends when things are hard for them, they'll abandon you when things are good for them.
Prov 17:17[MSG]; Ruth1:16-17; Gal 6:2;

IF YOU MUST BUILD CAPACITY IN RELATIONSHIPS, DO IT BY FORGIVENESS
So many of us don't know that forgiveness is a very strong key in building relationships. When you learn to forgive people of their trespasses, you become a celebrity. The person you're refusing to forgive, may be the person holding what you're looking for. God can take your blessing and put it in the breast pocket of someone you don't want to forgive.
Matt 18:21-22; Col 3:13

*PART 2: BUILDING CAPACITY IN CONSISTENCY*
Preacher: Rev'd Idika Chijioke Valentine
1st Lesson: 1Kings 18:41-45
2nd Lesson: Luke 18:1-8; 2 Tim 2:20-21

Consistency is the Hallmark of Honour. If you must be successful in anything you do, there must be consistency. Break and quench can never give you success. According to the advanced learners dictionary, Consistency is the quality of behaving in the same way or having the same opinion and standard. Vocabulary dot com says consistency is harmonious uniformity or agreement among things or parts. According to the Merriam Webster dictionary it says, Consistency is marked by harmony, regularity or steady continuity, free from variation or contradiction.
Showing steady conformity to character, profession or belief.
In consistency, you can change pattern, but the goal is the same. Another word for consistency is being persistent.

*WHERE SHOULD I BUILD CONSISTENCY IN?*

*BUILD CONSISTENCY IN SERVICE.*
There is a great reward in consistent service. It may look like it's not forthcoming but don't give up. Whatever you do for God is never a waste for him. In your service don't lose consistency.
1Cor 15:58; Gal 6:9[NLT]; Col 3:23-24[NLT]; 1Pet 4:10[NLT]; 1Chron 15:7[NLT]

*YOU MUST BUILD CONSISTENCY IN FAITH AND TRUST.*
You must build consistency in faith and trust. Your faith and trust in God must be consistent. The world is full of uncertainty, but your faith would keep you going. Your faith must tally with your service. HEB 10:23[NLT]; Isa 26:3; Col 1:23 [NLT]

*YOU MUST BE CONSISTENT IN OBEDIENCE*
You must build capacity in Obedience. Disobedience can make you not to be a vessel of honour. Don't ever be wiser than God this year.
James 1:22[NLT]; Deut 5:32[NLT]; John 14:15; Isa 1:19[NLT]; Ex 19:5[NLT]

*YOU MUST BUILD CONSISTENCY IN CONSISTENT PRAYER LIFE*
The prayer life of a Christian is like the life of a fish in the river. A Christian that doesn't soak himself in prayer would soon die spiritually. You won't grow. The only thing greater than prayer is more prayer. Consistent prayer stops you from consistent complaints. The more the prayer, the less complaints.

VESSEL FOR HONOUR SERIES
SUNDAY 12TH JANUARY 2025
PART 1: BUILDING CAPACITY FOR HONOUR
Preacher: Rev'd Idika Chijioke Valentine
1st Lesson: Jeremiah 18:1-6
2nd Lesson: 2 Tim 2:20-21

When we talk about a vessel, we talk about a container like a bowel that can hold something. The biblical meaning of a vessel denotes an individual God uses.
From our new testament text 2Tim 2:20-21,
If you must be a vessel unto honour, there is a need to build capacity. If you bring a Coca-Cola plastic bottle and pour hot water inside, it'll melt because the capacity of that bottle is not meant for hot water. So at this time, it's a vessel but unto dishonour.
Apostle Paul didn't say that vessels of silver or gold is for honour and that of wood or stone is for dishonour. He generalised it and said, some of these, which means gold can be there and be useless[dishonour]. By implication, you can have rich people in the church and they're useless to the church. You can have the rich and the poor and the poor people would be more useful than the rich people. So it's not all about being gold. If you're a rich man and your church struggles before they gain anything, you're a vessel unto dishonour. While there are people struggling with their meagre salary and yet they are carrying the church. Those people are vessels unto honour.

AREAS TO BUILD CAPACITY IN

1. The first way we build capacity is building capacity in knowledge. If you must be a vessel unto honour there is a need to build capacity in knowledge. Knowledge in what?
A. Knowledge of the word of God.
Açts 17:10-12; 2 Sam 12:1-9; Psalm 119:105; Jer 15:16
Your ability to know the word of God gives you advantage over every other person. You will know what to do at every time through the word of God. The word of God guides you through seasons of life. Because of the ability of the Berean Christians to know the word of God, people began to join them. Because of their ability to defend the word, people began to look for them. If you build capacity in the knowledge of the word of God, you become a noble man.

B. You must build capacity in times and seasons. Dan 2:21; Ecc 3:1; Gen 41:48; 1Chron 12:32
Failure to discern the time and season would prohibit you from cooperating with God and understanding of fulfilling your destiny. You must know times and seasons. God changes seasons and God expects us to discern seasons also.

C. You must build capacity in skills and academics.
Exod 35:10; Acts 18:2&3; Mark 6:3; Prov 22:29
There is a need to build your skillset.
Show me a man who does one thing one particular way, I'll show you a fool who'll never succeed in life. Don't follow anyone that says you must be in church from Sunday to Sunday. You'll be spiritually filled but physically hungry. Don't do one business. Do as many as you can. Jesus was a carpenter. Luke was a physician. Go and learn something. Don't boast with your certificate. Don't say I'm a graduate. Paul and his companions preached and did their business of making tents.

SUNDAY 29th SEPTEMBER, 2024.
PREACHER: REV'D IDIKA CHIJIOKE VALENTINE
TOPIC: PRAISING GOD ARIGHT
1ST LESSON: Psalm 47:1-9
2ND LESSON: Revelation 4:1-11

We are gathered this morning that we may praise and magnify the Lord. We are called to worship him because he is the only God who deserves our worship. There is a biblical injunction to give praise and thanks to God at all times not minding the condition, not minding the situation, pattern, the place we find ourselves. God requires our praises. Ofcourse in the catechism booklet, we discover it is written very boldly that the reason God created man is for his worship. God did not create you to come and make money. God did not create you to come and suffer or struggle. It's called the chief end of man. That's how it is written in the catechism booklet. What is the chief end of man? The chief end of man is to glorify God. The reason God created is is for his glory. So God has called us for his praise and worship at all times. Paul said in all that we do, do it to the glory of God. Praise is an act of giving thanks, appreciation. Praise is not worship. Inasmuch as they may look alike, but it is not worship. Praises has to do with appreciating someone for what he's done, being thankful. When you talk about worship, you talk about adoring God, adoring somebody. Calling the person sweet names. One thing you must understand is that praise and worship are inseparable. They are not the same but they cannot be separated. They work together. That's why at the moment of worship, you see yourself praising and at the moment of praise, you see yourself worshipping because they go together. From our New testament text Rev. 4, John saw the 24 elders and 4 living creatures in heaven worshipping and praising God. They never did any other thing. All they did all the time was praises. This morning God has called us that in everything we do, we should sing praise unto him. The theme of the week is Conquering through praise. You can not conquer through praise, until you praise aright. Sometimes the things we sing thinking we're praising God is actually glorifying the devil. Some songs also glorify our condition.

THREE THINGS TO HELP US PRAISE ARIGHT
1. If you must praise God aright, you must be filled with the Holy spirit. You can't praise God aright when you don't have the spirit of God. It's only the spirit of God in you that can direct you aright. Apostle John said in vs 2 immediately I was in the spirit. When the spirit possesses you, you see yourself worshipping God aright.

2. You can't worship God aright until you see God in everything. John said, and I saw someone in the throne seated. Until you see God in every condition, you cannot praise him aright.

3. If you must worship God aright, you must understand his moves. God can move in any form or way. When you don't understand his movements, you think that God has abandoned you and you begin to complain. Enough of the complains. It is time to start worshipping God. It is time to start praising God. There is power in praise. There's a difference between singing and praising. You can sing many songs and none of them glorifies God; but you can sing two songs and you see them praising and uplifting God. Your praises can change the heart of the King. Your praises can change the condition of your family. You're facing challenges don't complain again. Praise God. My prayer is as we praise God aright, may he manifest his glory in our lives. Amen.

SUNDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER, 2024.PREACHER: REV'D IDIKA CHIJIOKE VALENTINETOPIC: COVENANT OF EXEMPTION1ST LESSON: Exodus 12:1-...
28/09/2024

SUNDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER, 2024.
PREACHER: REV'D IDIKA CHIJIOKE VALENTINE
TOPIC: COVENANT OF EXEMPTION
1ST LESSON: Exodus 12:1-13
2ND LESSON: Galatians 6:15-18

God laid it in my heart, that I should bring us into a covenant of exemption.
Today is a service of a covenant day of exemption. We serve a God who specialises very well in exempting his own. God does not gather everybody. It is in the nature of God to love everybody. It is also in his nature to make specific rules for the people that are his. We serve a God who exempts his own from trouble or calamities. Nigeria has decayed to the point that God needs to exempt his own from others. We no longer live in a place that is secure to be mixed together. We are affected generally, though it's not supposed to be so. We can live in Nigeria where food is scarce, but we can also live in Nigeria where we don't suffer shortage of food. We can live in Nigeria where dollar is high, but we can also live in Nigeria where people can send us dollars. That's what covenant of exemption does. God has a way of settling his own. I declare that though we are living in Nigeria we won't suffer with Nigeria. Though we may live in Nigeria but we'll not cry with Nigeria. God shall from this day exempt you from every pain Amen. God is calling us to the covenant of exemption. From our Old testament text, the Israelites they were living in Egypt as slaves, but yet they were living in Egypt as Kings. God told Moses, this day we're going to have a covenant. And that covenant is this, that you'll kill a lamb, eat it and paste the blood, so that when the destroyer comes, none of you would be destroyed. None of you shall face the destruction. Why? I am going to separate you from all the Egyptians. When I see the blood, I will passover. So whatever happens, the blood becomes a seal to every child of Israel. And from that day, when the spirit of destruction came, it passed because the people have been separated from the crowd. The sufferings of Nigeria are not meant for us. Now What's Exemption? It means freedom from being required of something that others are being required to do. Exemption is synonymous to immunity. Anyone that says he's exempted means there's an immunity covering the person. This is special protection from what could hurt or destroy others. What destroyed others cannot destroy us. What pulled others down, cannot pull us down.
I will talk about two things God exempts us from according to our old testament passage which are: Famine/scarcity and destruction. Famine is the highest point of scarcity of food. God wants to bring us into a place of abundance. He exempted Isaac from famine [Gen 26:12]. Exodus 8:22-23, Job 5:22, Exodus 9:26, Psalm 37:19&25. Secondly, God is bringing us into the covenant of exemption from destruction . One may not be in famine, but one can easily be destroyed. You may not suffer hunger but you can easily be destroyed. God didn't allow the children of Israel to go hungry, he didn't also allow them to be destroyed. Ezek 9:4-6, Gen 6:7-8, John 3:16, Dan 6:19-24, The lions that were destroying people couldn't destroy Daniel. Whatever is killing people Nigeria would not kill us. Amen.

18/08/2024

SUNDAY 18TH AUGUST, 2024.
SPEAKER:REV'D IDIKA CHIJIOKE VALENTINE
TOPIC: SEASON OF HIGHLY FAVOURED
1ST LESSON: LEVITICUS 26:9-12
2ND LESSON: ACTS 7:8-10
INTRODUCTION: The favour of God upon a man, forces others to favour him. When you are highly favored by God, Earth has not choice but to respond to you. If God favours a man, his environment and everything around him will favour him.
There is a favor that comes from man and there is a favour that comes from God. If man favours someone, he cannot force God to favour him, but if the Favour of God is upon someone, he forces men to favour the person.
When God chooses to favour a man, no matter what the devil does, no matter what men do, nothing can speak against it.

There is a difference between been Favored and been highly favored.
When you are Favored, there may be limitations, but when you are highly favored, there is no limitations, the earth will have no choice but to respond to you.

From our first Bible lesson Lev 26:9-12 'I will look upon you Favourably and you shall be fruitful..........' The word 'LOOK' in this passage mean, 'TREAT'. God will treat you favourably and make you fruitful. By implications, the reason for fruitfulness, is the favour of God.
WHAT HAPPENS, WHEN YOU ARE HIGHLY FAVOURED
1. You will be fruitful (John 15:16, Gen 1:26-28): When you are fruitful, everything will work for you, you will be energized to do things, you will have the wisdom and everything you need to excel in life. Accordingly to Gen 1:26-28) Man was the last thing God created, but he chose to Favour man and made him head of creation, which means, when God favours a man, who started first does not matter. And in John 15:16, when God highly favours you, you have no choice than to bear fruit.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: Receive Grace to bear fruit in Jesus name;Amen.

You can not be highly favored and unfruitful. when a man is highly favored, everything works.
Note: The favour of God brings envy. As God is favouring you, that is how your enemies increases. But it is better to be highly favored and have enemies than to be unfruitful with enemies. From where we read in our 2nd Bible lesson, Joseph was fuitful and his siblings where envious and they threw him inside a pit, but because he was highly favoured, everything was working for him. He was bought by portiphar, and the favour upon him made portiphar to love him, when portiphar began to hate him and threw him in prison, Pharoah loved him.
The more people envy /hate you, the more God favours you. Exodus1:7 the children of Isreal where fruitful because God highly favored them.

2. You will increase on every side: Fruitfuness is not the same as increase. They are similar but not the same. You can be fruitful and not increase.
For instance; There are people who are good in what they do, but have not achieved anything from it. They are good in there businesses but have never excelled, they can work well, but once money enter, it will disappear, nothing to show forth their hard work. You can be fruitful and not increase. That is why the Bible did not stop at be fruit but be fruitful and increase. Psalms 115:14-15 'The Lord will increase you more and more...... '
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: From today till the end of 2024, may you continue to increase more and more on every side. You shall end 2024 in a greater increase. Though you may have not started well this year, you may have not be running well, but you will end the year with increase. All that you did not achieved from January till August, September-December will deliver it to you in Jesus name;Amen.

Increase only comes from God. It's not about he that planted or he that watered, but it is the Lord that increases(1cor 3:6-7)
It's not about who started before you, if God has shown you favour, you will over-take them.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: You will not be less than where you are now. You will increase and not reduce in Jesus name; Amen.

When God says I will favour you, he meant he will increase you.
3. You can not be rejected(Acts 9): When God favours a man, he can never be rejected. Everybody will accept him. A man can be influenced to hate another, but when God favours a man, nobody can influence it.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: From today hence forth, anywhere you go/enter, they must accept you. Receive Grace to be accepted in the name of Jesus;Amen.
4. You will live under open Heaven(Leviticus 26:12): Any man that is highly favored, is a man that is living under open heavens because God dwells with such a man.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: From today hence for, may your heavens be opened in Jesus name;Amen.

Living under an open heavens means, you are living in the place of enjoyment, in the place of ease. When you live under open heavens, every other things mention above falls into place.
Prayers:
1. Oh Lord look upon me Favourably. Look upon my family with Favour.
2. Oh Lord, let my heavens be opened and my earth be watered.
