SUNDAY SERVICE: March 1st, 2026.

First Bible Lesson: Exodus 15:6
Second Bible Lesson: Acts 6:8-15
Preacher: Rev Stephen Kalu
Topic: Grace and Power - Agents of Signs and Wonders.

Grace is the unmerited favour of God.
Power is the ability to do work.
Signs and Wonders are manifestations beyond human capacities.

The election of the seven deacons in Acts 6 shows that our ways are not hidden before the people. Stephen was elected because the people saw the Grace of God in his life.

Stephen worked beyond his office as a Deacon and functioned as an Apostle, while exhibiting the power of God.

Grace can give a person lifting, but power is needed to maintain the lifting from attacks and enemies.

When the Grace of God is availed in a vessel full of power, signs and Wonders are assured.

THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF NIGERIA – UMUCHICHI COVENANT PARISH
SUNDAY SERVICE – November 16th, 2025
First Bible Lesson: Proverbs 3:6-10
Second Bible Lesson: 2 Timothy 2 : 19-21, Luke 12:15-21
Preacher: Rev. Ikechukwu Ajah
Topic: Honor the Lord with your Life and Substance

EXCERPTS

The word of God to us dwelt richly on honoring the lord with our lives first, then our substance. We must not rely on our own wisdom, but must submit to God so that he can make straight our paths. Doing this, the word of God promises health to our bodies and nourishment to our bones.

Unfortunately, some people that God has blessed, even in the house of God, are nowhere to be found. When God speaks, they can’t hear him, because they have been saturated and consumed with the thought of their accomplishments and wealth. They forget that God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to those around us. (Gen. 12:2)

As believers, we must not place our hearts and minds in our riches. We must not give glory to ourselves as the source of our wealth. Doing so will make greed creep in. The word of God reminds us that a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. Those who place their mind on their riches, the Lord will call Fools, just like the foolish wealthy man who failed to acknowledge God as the source of his wealth.

It is an error to be living in sin and expect God to bless you. But if you honor him with your holy body, then he will lift you. You must not forget that you have been bought with a price, so you must honor God with your body. Those who purge themselves of sin will be vessels for special purposes to the master, unto every good work.

Honor God with your body and substance, and he will never leave you nor forsake you. The lord will give us grace, Amen.

SUNDAY SERVICE – October 26th, 2025

First Bible Lesson: 2 Kings 5:1–14
Second Bible Lesson: Acts 12:1–16; 2 Timothy 2:19–25
Preacher: Celina James
Topic: The Girl God Uses

EXCERPTS

Come out of the lie that God only uses certain special people.

Christ died for all because He loved the world and desires that everyone comes to the knowledge of the truth.

Purge yourself and be diligent to keep your heart pure.

Always make yourself available for God’s use.

Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.

Submit yourself to learning and to spiritual growth.

Often, we look too far ahead, wondering how God could use us—forgetting that even in the smallest assignments, He is testing our faithfulness to see how well we handle them.

While many are called and few are chosen, choose to make yourself available and become one of those who delight the Lord. Remember, all things work together for good to those who love God.

God is calling us back to Himself—to be vessels He can use, instruments of His purpose, and channels of His grace.
