BENEFITS OF DWELLING IN HIS PRESENCE PART 2
Thanks be to God for he is our dwelling place. And in this second part other benefits of making God our dwelling place will be revealed.

He Covers us with His feathers (Psalm 91:4): The Most High God has feathers and here is a promise from Him; a promise of protection. When someone is under the protection of the Almighty God, he won’t have anything to fear. When the wicked rise up against him, he won’t have to fight. All he needs do is to report the enemy to God in prayer and the Most High will fight his battle and the enemy will fall (Exodus 14:14, Psalm 27:2).

His truth as Shield and Buckler (Psalm 91:4): The word of God is the truth of God. Jesus is both the Word of God and the truth of God, for he says in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life”. What the scripture is saying is that Jesus shall be your armour and defence. Remember the scripture says “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” (Philippians 2:10). The name of Jesus is a powerful weapon that wins war both in heaven and on earth. Now you have that name – the name that is above every other name. It is now your responsibility to accept it, hold on to it and use it as an instrument of warfare. You can’t have a better shield and buckler than the truth of God – which is Jesus Christ. Call upon his name today and he will answer you. Also study the word of God daily, meditate upon it and apply it to your life.
Unfortunately, God can not be a shield or defence to those who don’t want him. If a man refuses to accept Jesus as Lord over his life, God will leave him alone. He will assume the fellow has a way of protecting himself against the wiles of the devil. But that can be corrected if the fellow repented and call on God to save his soul. If that described you, then call on God today for the salvation of your soul. He will have mercy on you and save your soul in Jesus name.

Selecting someone who shares a lot of common interests with you will work in your favour. Remember that all your interests don’t really have to be the same, but some would do. Dwelling in the secret place of God is a wonderful experience; experience that brings peace and drives away fear. If a man is not under the cover of the Most High, anything can befall him because he is just on his own. When the evil wind of life is boisterous he won’t have any cover for the wind. It is a dangerous thing to be alone. The bible says woe to him that is alone.
“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 KJV)
