WELCOME, DEVOTED DISCIPLES OF CHRIST!

We rejoice as you, our committed missionaries, enter the Lord’s vineyard. Your arrival is evidence of His hand at work and His purposes unfolding.

“Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve Him with all your heart, might, mind, and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day” [D&C 4:2].

As you begin this sacred work, remember:

1. Move forward in faith, even when the path isn’t fully clear.
2. Depend on the Holy Ghost, for He will guide your steps and inspire your words.
3. Lead with charity, because genuine love softens hearts to receive the truth.
4. Draw upon Christ’s power, for He strengthens everyone He calls and commissions.
5. Be obedient and diligent*, knowing that small, consistent efforts bring mighty miracles.
6. Lift and love those you serve, seeing each person as a child of God with infinite worth.

“Be strong and of a good courage; fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” [Deuteronomy 31:6].

We’re excited you’re here! This is a time for spiritual growth, miracles, and changed lives—beginning with your own. May your mission shine as a light that blesses others. The Lord walks before you and directs the work.

Go forward with courage, joy, and faith. The Lord trusts you, and we do too.

Honoring Those Who Finished Well

We celebrate the missionaries who have completed their service and returned home with honor. Though your time in the field has ended, the light of your example still strengthens our mission.

You labored with dedication, served with compassion, and trusted the Lord through every challenge and victory. You remained steadfast disciples of Jesus Christ, sharing the gospel with courage and love.

We are grateful for your sacrifice, your Christlike example, and the stories that will uplift us for years to come. The influence you have had will follow you wherever life takes you, and the legacy you leave here is now part of who we are as a mission family.

May the seeds of faith and hope you planted continue to grow. May your homecoming bring joy, rest, and the celebration you have earned. You gave your all.

Well done, good and faithful servants. Thank you.

One Gospel. Many Cultures. One Family.

Last week, the Aba Mission came alive for our Cultural/Super P-Day! Missionaries dressed in cultural attire, each representing the beautiful cultures from around and across the world.

But it wasn’t just about the attire.
It was a reminder: the Gospel of Jesus Christ doesn’t erase culture. It refines it, unites it, and makes us one in Him.

_“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”_ (Galatians 3:28)

From the dance steps to the food, the laughter to the testimonies—we saw that no matter where we come from, we’re all children of God working to bring souls to Christ.

Elders and Sisters who represent the diversity of God’s kingdom right here in Aba shared pieces of home, each telling a story of heritage and pride.

But beyond the colors and the food, there was something deeper: unity in Christ.
We’re from different tribes, states, and backgrounds, yet here we are, side by side, speaking one language—the language of the Gospel.

_“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”_ (Psalm 133:1)

Zone Conference Reflections

Our zone conference in the Aba Mission was a powerful reminder of why we serve.

We focused on fear—why missionaries sometimes hesitate to extend invitations, and why it’s important to sit down and count the cost to achieve our objectives.

We were taught about the causes of fear that missionaries often face: the fear of rejection and the fear of not being enough. One talk quoted President Gordon B. Hinckley: “Fear is the complete opposite of faith. It does not come from God, but is a corrosive, destructive element that pulls individuals away from the Lord.” As the Lord counsels in Doctrine and Covenants 6:36, _“Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.”_

The Spirit was strong as we discussed what it really means to represent Jesus Christ every day.

Departing missionaries shared heartfelt testimonies of Christ’s power in their lives. Their words challenged all of us to renew our commitment and share the gospel with greater boldness. Sister Amouzovi’s testimony of the Book of Mormon’s truth stood out, and she reminded us of the gift of tongues and that “whom the Lord calls, He qualifies.”

We are grateful for the example of those going home, and for the charge we’ve been given to carry their spirit forward. Their service has left a mark on the Aba Nigeria Mission, and now it’s our turn to keep building.

Let’s go forward with faith, clarity of purpose, and hearts set on the work.

MISSION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (MLC)

Our Zone Leaders and STLs recently held an incredible Mission Leadership Council. It was a chance to focus on what really matters—a time set apart to refocus, realign, and remember why we’re here.

As Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”

The direction was set, and the targets were clear. Our leaders are returning to their zones with more than strategies; they carry a real determination to help every missionary rise to their divine potential.

They were reminded that leaders must “give away” pride in order to lead with humility and compassion.

We dove deep into faith, studied _Preach My Gospel_ Chapter 1, and spoke honestly about our purpose as missionaries and the weight of the calling we carry.

True leadership in the Lord’s work is built on love, honesty, and Christlike compassion. The Savior’s example reminds us that real strength looks like humility, and that humility opens the door for grace to work in our lives and in the lives of those we serve.

They are carrying a renewed resolve to lift every missionary and help them become who the Lord knows they can become.

Let’s keep pushing forward with faith. The work is sacred, and the souls matter.

TRAINERS’ COUNCIL

Last week, our new missionaries and trainers met for a Trainers’ Council a sacred space for learning, unity, and direction from heaven.

Trainers are divinely charged to raise up the Lord’s newest servants. The counsel was clear: training is more than information it’s leading with love, living the example, and inviting the Spirit.

To new missionaries: Be teachable. Listen with real intent, act in faith, and apply quickly. Your humility and diligence will unlock the Spirit and accelerate your growth (D&C 112:10). You were called to lead, not just learn.

Thank you to all who participated. The field is already white (D&C 4:4), and God will enlarge your efforts as you walk in faith.

We stand still in faith to see the salvation of God (D&C 123:17). Serve on with purpose and power!

MISSION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (MLC)

Our Zone Leaders and STLs recently had an incredible Mission Leadership Council. It provided a chance to focus on what really matters.

Christlike leadership should be exercised with love, integrity,
compassion.
The Savior has always shown unlimited capacity for compassion. Humility is a sign of spiritual strength, not of weakness. In addition, it is a vital catalyst for spiritual growth (Ether 12:27).
The vision was clear, and the goals were set. Our leaders are heading back to their zones not just with plans, but with a real intent to help all missionaries reach their potential.

As ( Proverbs 29:18) says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish."
Let's keep the fire burning!
