THE DANGEROUS MISUSE OF "GOD TOLD ME" THAT IS SILENTLY CAUSING DAMAGE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

Pause and think deeply about this.

How many times have people heard the words, "God told me," and immediately accepted it without question?

"God told me to marry this person."

"God told me to leave this church."

"God told me to give me your money."

"God told me you are my wife."

"God told me you are under a curse."

"God told me if you do not obey me, disaster will happen."

The words sound powerful. They sound spiritual. They sound unquestionable.

But here is a serious question.

Did God truly speak, or did human emotions, desires, assumptions, pressure, personal opinions, fear, or ambition begin speaking with God's voice attached to it?

This is a matter the Body of Christ cannot ignore.

Because once people place God's name on words He never spoke, the consequences become dangerous.

People have entered wrong marriages because somebody said, "God told me."

People have left healthy churches because somebody said, "God told me."

People have given away resources under pressure because somebody said, "God told me."

People have lived in fear because somebody used God's name to control them.

People have followed personalities instead of following God Himself.

The problem is not that God speaks.

God still guides.

God still directs.

God still gives wisdom.

God still brings conviction.

God still leads His people.

The danger begins when human voices become mixed with God's voice.

Scripture gives a strong warning concerning this.

Jeremiah 23:21.

"I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied."

Notice those words carefully.

God said they ran before they were sent.

They spoke before they heard.

They moved before they received instruction.

This reveals something important.

Not every spiritual sounding statement comes from God.

Not every strong feeling is God's voice.

Not every dream is divine instruction.

Not every thought entering the mind is a heavenly message.

Not every prophecy automatically means God spoke.

Believers must learn discernment.

Many people think that because something sounds spiritual, it must be true. But truth is not measured by excitement, volume, emotions, tears, or confidence.

Truth must stand beside God's Word.

1 John 4:1 says,

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God."

Notice that Scripture does not say accept everything immediately.

Scripture says test it.

Examine it.

Bring it under God's Word.

Ask questions.

Seek wisdom.

Pray.

Look at the fruit.

God never becomes offended because someone carefully examines what they hear.

Even Paul, after preaching, was examined by people who searched the Scriptures.

Acts 17:11 says,

"These were more noble because they received the word with readiness and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so."

Imagine that.

Paul himself was examined through Scripture.

How much more should believers examine human words today?

There is another danger.

Sometimes people are not intentionally lying.

Sometimes they sincerely believe God spoke when emotions spoke.

Fear can speak.

Desire can speak.

Personal ambition can speak.

Bitterness can speak.

Pressure can speak.

Excitement can speak.

Human imagination can speak.

Many people mistake inner feelings for divine instruction.

That is why wisdom and patience are important.

God is not a God of confusion.

God's direction does not require manipulation.

God's voice does not need intimidation.

God's truth does not need fear tactics.

When God speaks, His guidance aligns with His character and His Word.

2 Timothy 3:16 says,

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

The written Word remains a measuring standard.

If someone says, "God told me," but what they say opposes Scripture, wisdom, love, truth, and godly character, something is wrong.

The Body of Christ must return to spiritual maturity.

We should not become people who follow every voice.

We should become people who know God personally.

People can miss God when they depend entirely on human voices while neglecting prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with Him.

God wants His children to know Him, not merely know about Him.

Teaching Summary.

God still speaks, guides, and leads His people, but His voice should never be confused with personal feelings, desires, pressure, or manipulation.

Not every statement beginning with "God told me" automatically carries divine authority.

Believers are called to test what they hear through Scripture, prayer, wisdom, and discernment.

Spiritual maturity grows when people follow God faithfully rather than surrendering their judgment to human personalities.

The goal is not to become suspicious of everyone, but to become rooted deeply in truth.

Have you ever experienced a situation where someone said, "God told me," and it later brought confusion, pressure, or lessons you never expected?

WHY IS IT ALWAYS WOMEN FALLING DURING DELIVERANCE?

This question has created arguments, confusion, mockery, and deep curiosity in many churches around the world.

People keep asking,

“Why is it that during deliverance services, revival meetings, prophetic gatherings, and prayer sessions, it is mostly women that are seen falling under anointing, manifesting, crying, shaking, or reacting spiritually?”

Some people even mock Christianity because of this.

Others secretly wonder if deliverance is real.

Some ask,
“Are women more possessed than men?”
“Why do men always appear stronger during deliverance?”
“Is it emotional manipulation?”
“Is there a hidden spiritual mystery behind this?”

This topic needs honesty, wisdom, balance, and spiritual understanding because many people are speaking without truly understanding spiritual matters deeply.

First, let us establish this truth clearly.

Not everybody who falls during prayer is demon possessed.

And not everybody who remains standing is spiritually strong.

That is one of the biggest mistakes people make.

In the Bible, different people reacted differently when God’s power moved around them.

In Daniel 10:7 to 9, Daniel said that when he encountered the presence of God, all his strength left him and he fell with his face to the ground.

In John 18:4 to 6, when Jesus spoke the words, “I am He,” the soldiers moved backward and fell to the ground.

In 2 Chronicles 5:13 to 14, the glory of God filled the temple so strongly that the priests could not even stand to minister.

This means human bodies can react physically when spiritual power becomes overwhelming.

But now let us address the deeper question.

Why are women more commonly seen reacting openly during deliverance services?

The first hidden truth is this.

Women are generally more emotionally expressive than men.

This is not weakness.
This is part of human design.

Many men are trained from childhood to suppress emotions, hide pain, resist vulnerability, and appear strong publicly even when broken internally.

Women, on the other hand, often express emotional and spiritual burdens more openly.

So during intense prayer environments, women may cry, shake, fall, scream, or react faster externally, while some men may internalize their struggles silently.

This does not automatically mean women are more demonized.

It simply means people respond differently under emotional and spiritual pressure.

Now let us reveal another hidden truth many people ignore.

Many women carry deep invisible burdens silently.

Rejection.
Abuse.
Heartbreak.
Manipulation.
Sexual trauma.
Loneliness.
Domestic suffering.
Abandonment.
Spiritual oppression.
Emotional exhaustion.

Some women enter church services carrying years of silent pain nobody knows about.

Then during intense worship, prayer, or deliverance, those buried emotions can suddenly break open.

Tears begin flowing.
The body reacts.
The person becomes overwhelmed emotionally and spiritually.

Some people watching from outside only see “falling down,” but they do not understand the internal battle happening inside that soul.

I remember hearing the story of a woman who attended a revival meeting quietly sitting at the back of the church.

Nobody knew she had been battling depression secretly for years after losing her child and going through a painful divorce.

During prayer, she suddenly collapsed crying uncontrollably.

Some people mocked her and called it drama.

But later she testified that for the first time in years she felt peace enter her heart.

Not every reaction is fake.
Not every reaction is demonic.
And not every reaction should be mocked carelessly.

Now let us go deeper.

Another reason women are often seen reacting more openly is because women statistically participate more actively in prayer gatherings, spiritual meetings, fasting programs, counseling sessions, and church activities than many men.

In many churches worldwide, women are usually the majority during midweek services, prayer vigils, deliverance meetings, and fasting programs.

So naturally, more women will also be visibly involved during spiritual manifestations or emotional reactions.

But now let us discuss something very important many people avoid.

Yes, sometimes there are fake manifestations.

Yes, sometimes emotionalism is exaggerated.

Yes, sometimes certain ministers manipulate crowds psychologically.

This must also be said honestly.

Not every falling is from God.

Some people fall because of crowd pressure.
Some fall because they expect to fall.
Some fall emotionally.
Some fall psychologically.
Some even imitate others unconsciously.

The Bible itself warns believers to test every spirit in 1 John 4:1.

True spirituality is not measured by who falls the most.

True spirituality is measured by transformed character, holiness, obedience, humility, self control, love, and spiritual growth.

A person can fall under anointing today and still remain unchanged tomorrow.

Another person may never fall physically but may experience deep inward transformation spiritually.

The greatest evidence of God’s power is not falling down.

It is genuine transformation.

Galatians 5:22 to 23 explains that the fruit of the Spirit includes love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

Now here is another hidden truth many people never think about.

Men also struggle spiritually deeply, but many men hide their battles differently.

Some men bury pain in alcohol.
Some bury pain in po*******hy.
Some bury pain in anger.
Some bury pain in pride.
Some bury pain in silence.

Many men are suffering internally but refuse to appear vulnerable publicly.

So outward reactions alone should never be used to judge spiritual conditions.

a man of God once shared a story that deeply touched me.

He said during one deliverance service, a young woman fell down crying loudly while a young man stood quietly beside her expressionless.

People assumed the woman needed help more.

But after service, the young man came privately and confessed he had been planning su***de for months.

The man of God said that day taught him never to judge spiritual battles by outward appearances alone.

God sees what humans cannot see.

1 Samuel 16:7 says man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

Another dangerous mistake people make is mocking people during spiritual moments.

Be careful.

Not every manifestation is fake.
Not every manifestation is genuine either.

Wisdom and discernment are necessary.

The church must avoid both extremes.

We must avoid blind emotionalism.
We must also avoid prideful mockery of spiritual experiences.

Everything should be examined through Scripture, wisdom, order, discernment, and the fruits produced afterward.

The deeper truth is this.

Deliverance is not entertainment.

It is not a competition of who falls the most.

It is not about public drama.

True deliverance is about freedom, healing, restoration, repentance, and bringing people closer to God.

Some people fall and rise transformed.
Some fall and remain unchanged.
Some never fall physically but experience deep inner healing quietly.

God works differently in different people.

Sometimes what people mock publicly may actually be someone’s private battle breaking before God.

So before criticizing carelessly, learn discernment, compassion, wisdom, and spiritual maturity.

The church needs truth.
The church needs balance.
The church needs discernment.
The church needs genuine spiritual understanding.

Not every reaction is fake.
Not every reaction is spiritual.
And not every silence means strength.

SUMMARY

Women often express emotional and spiritual burdens more openly than men.

Not every falling during deliverance is demonic, and not every standing person is spiritually strong.

Human bodies can react differently during intense spiritual or emotional moments.

Some manifestations are genuine, while others may be emotional, psychological, or even imitated.

True spirituality is measured by transformed character, not physical reactions alone.

Men also carry hidden spiritual and emotional battles, but many hide them silently.

Discernment, wisdom, compassion, and biblical balance are necessary in judging spiritual matters.

The greatest evidence of God’s power is genuine transformation and spiritual growth.

THE MYSTERY OF THE FOUR LIVING CREATURES IN HEAVEN , WHAT IS THEIR REAL DUTY BEFORE GOD? WHY ARE THEY FULL OF EYES?

There is a question many people have been asking for years.

Who are the four living creatures around the throne of God?
Why are they covered with eyes?
What do those eyes mean?
What exactly is their assignment in heaven?
Are they angels, cherubim, or another kind of heavenly being?

When many people read the book of Revelation and Ezekiel, they become shocked and confused because the description of these beings is unlike anything we normally imagine.

The Bible describes mysterious creatures standing around God’s throne, constantly worshipping Him, full of eyes before and behind, carrying an appearance that reveals deep spiritual mystery.

This is one of the deepest revelations about heaven recorded in Scripture.

Let us study it carefully and spiritually.

Revelation 4:6-8 says:

“And in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind... And they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”

The first thing you must notice is their position.

These beings are not far away from God’s throne.
They are around the throne itself.

That tells you immediately that they are not ordinary beings.

Throughout Scripture, beings that stand closest to God’s throne carry serious heavenly responsibility, authority, and holiness.

These four living creatures are heavenly throne beings connected to God’s glory, worship, and divine administration.

The Bible says:
One looked like a lion One looked like a calf or ox One had the face of a man One looked like a flying eagle

And all of them were full of eyes.

This description is deeply symbolic and spiritual.

THE FOUR FACES AND WHAT THEY REPRESENT

1. THE LION

The lion represents authority, rulership, majesty, and dominion.

The lion is often seen as king among animals.

This face reveals the kingly authority and sovereignty of God.

Proverbs 30:30 says:

“A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any.”

This reminds us that God rules over all creation with unmatched power and authority.

2. THE OX OR CALF

The ox represents service, strength, endurance, sacrifice, and labor.

In biblical times, oxen were used for work and sacrifice.

This face reveals strength under authority and faithful service before God.

It also points to sacrifice and worship.

3. THE FACE OF A MAN

The face of a man represents intelligence, wisdom, understanding, relationship, and discernment.

This shows us that God is not only powerful, but also wise and relational.

Heaven operates with divine understanding and perfect wisdom.

4. THE EAGLE

The eagle represents vision, speed, elevation, spiritual sight, and heavenly perspective.

The eagle flies above storms and sees from great distances.

This face reveals the all-seeing vision and heavenly perspective of God’s kingdom.

Isaiah 40:31 says:

“They shall mount up with wings as eagles.”

Now let us go deeper into the part many people fear and misunderstand.

WHY ARE THEY FULL OF EYES?

The Bible says they were full of eyes before, behind, and within.

Revelation 4:8 says:

“And they were full of eyes within.”

Those eyes are not there for decoration.
They carry deep spiritual meaning.

1. THE EYES REPRESENT COMPLETE AWARENESS

Nothing is hidden before God.

The eyes symbolize spiritual awareness and divine perception.

God sees everything.
Nothing escapes heaven’s attention.

Hebrews 4:13 says:

“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight.”

The eyes reveal that heaven is fully aware of everything happening in creation.

2. THE EYES REPRESENT WATCHFULNESS

These beings are constantly alert.

There is no spiritual blindness around God’s throne.

No darkness can hide anything from God.

The eyes reveal heavenly watchfulness and discernment.

3. THE EYES REPRESENT REVELATION AND KNOWLEDGE

In Scripture, eyes often symbolize understanding and revelation.

These beings operate with supernatural discernment.

They see spiritually beyond human limitation.

4. THE EYES REFLECT THE NATURE OF GOD’S GOVERNMENT

The living creatures themselves are not God, but they reflect aspects of His throne and glory.

The eyes reveal that God’s government operates with perfect knowledge, perfect justice, and perfect awareness.

Nothing catches heaven by surprise.

ARE THEY ANGELS?

This is another deep question.

The Bible does not simply call them ordinary angels.

Many Bible scholars connect them to cherubim because of the similarities between Revelation and Ezekiel.

In Ezekiel chapter 1 and Ezekiel chapter 10, similar living creatures appear carrying the glory of God.

Ezekiel 1:18 says:

“And their rings were full of eyes round about them four.”

Cherubim are heavenly beings strongly connected to God’s holiness, glory, and throne.

Remember:
Cherubim guarded the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve sinned Cherubim were placed over the Ark of the Covenant Cherubim are associated with God’s manifest glory throughout Scripture

These are not weak or ordinary beings.

They are powerful heavenly creatures assigned around God’s throne.

WHAT IS THEIR MAIN DUTY?

Their assignment includes:
Continuous worship before God Surrounding and honoring the throne Reflecting God’s glory and holiness Participating in heavenly administration Announcing divine events and judgments in Revelation Revealing the greatness and majesty of God

One of the most powerful things about them is this:

They never stop worshipping God.

Revelation 4:8 says:

“They rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy…”

Imagine beings standing before God continuously overwhelmed by His holiness for eternity.

This tells us something powerful:

The closer you come to God, the more you realize how holy, glorious, and beyond understanding He truly is.

A DEEP SPIRITUAL LESSON FOR BELIEVERS

The eyes also teach believers an important lesson.

God does not want spiritually blind believers.

He wants believers who are spiritually sensitive, discerning, prayerful, watchful, and awake spiritually.

Many people fall into deception because they cannot discern spiritually.

Ephesians 1:18 says:

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened…”

God wants our spiritual eyes opened.

May God continue to open our spiritual understanding in Jesus’ name.

WHEN A SPIRITUAL LEADER BECOMES SPIRITUALLY BLIND, AN ENTIRE GENERATION CAN SUFFER

One of the most dangerous things that can happen in the body of Christ is not the rise of witches, false prophets, or darkness in the world. It is when a spiritual leader slowly loses spiritual sensitivity and does not even realize it.

This was the tragedy of Eli.

Eli was not an unbeliever. He was a priest. A spiritual leader. A man who once carried authority before God. Yet there came a point where the man leading Israel could no longer see clearly spiritually.

And that should terrify every believer.

Because spiritual blindness does not always begin with open rebellion. Sometimes it begins quietly. Slowly. Gradually. A person can still wear priestly garments and yet lose spiritual sharpness inside.

1 Samuel 3:1-2 says,

“And the word of the Lord was precious in those days, there was no open vision. And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see.”

This was not only talking about Eli’s physical eyes. It was revealing a deeper spiritual condition in Israel.

The man leading spiritually had become spiritually dull.

One of the first signs of spiritual blindness is becoming comfortable around sin.

Eli knew his sons were corrupt. He knew they were sleeping with women around the tabernacle. He knew they were abusing sacrifices and dishonoring God’s house. He heard the reports repeatedly.

Yet he did not stop them strongly enough.

He spoke casually where judgment was required.

That is spiritual blindness.

A leader can still preach sermons and yet lose the courage to confront evil. A person can still hold a title while becoming weak in discernment. A person can still stand on the altar while secretly becoming numb to what grieves God.

Many people think spiritual blindness means a person no longer prays or attends church. No. It is deeper than that.

A spiritually blind leader may still function publicly while dying privately.

This is why Eli’s story is dangerous.

He was near holy things daily, but proximity to spiritual activity does not guarantee spiritual sensitivity.

Some people are constantly around church but slowly disconnected from God internally.

One of the greatest dangers in ministry is familiarity.

When a person handles spiritual things carelessly for too long, they can lose reverence. Prayer becomes routine. Worship becomes performance. Correction becomes uncomfortable. Conviction becomes weaker.

Eventually, a leader starts protecting reputation more than righteousness.

And when leaders stop confronting sin, compromise spreads through the people.

Notice something terrifying.

Young Samuel could hear God while old Eli could not recognize His voice clearly anymore.

Think about that carefully.

The older priest had grown dull while the younger boy became spiritually sensitive.

This means age alone does not guarantee spiritual maturity.

Title alone does not guarantee spiritual sight.

Years in ministry alone do not guarantee intimacy with God.

A person can lead others publicly while drifting privately.

That is why every spiritual leader must guard their heart constantly.

Another dangerous sign of spiritual blindness is tolerating what God is judging.

Eli loved his sons emotionally more than he honored God spiritually.

And many leaders still fall into this trap today.

Some leaders tolerate compromise because of relationships.
Some tolerate corruption because of money.
Some tolerate immorality because they fear losing members.
Some tolerate falsehood because they want peace with people more than truth before God.

But whenever truth is sacrificed to protect comfort, spiritual blindness begins to grow.

1 Samuel 2:29 says,

“Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me?”

That statement is frightening.

God accused Eli of placing people above obedience.

And this still happens today.

Whenever a leader becomes more afraid of offending people than offending God, spiritual vision starts dying.

Spiritual blindness also affects discernment.

Remember Hannah?

When Hannah was broken before God, praying deeply from her soul, Eli misjudged her and thought she was drunk.

Imagine that.

A woman in genuine spiritual travail was mistaken for a sinner by the priest.

That is what happens when discernment weakens.

A spiritually blind leader may start attacking genuine hunger while tolerating actual corruption.

They may become unable to distinguish between emotionalism and true brokenness before God.

This is why believers must pray not only for gifted leaders, but for spiritually awake leaders.

Gift without discernment can destroy people.

Position without sensitivity can damage generations.

Another terrifying lesson from Eli’s life is this.

Spiritual blindness in leadership affects entire families and generations.

Israel suffered because of corrupted priesthood.

The ark was captured.
The glory departed.
The nation weakened spiritually.

One man’s spiritual decline affected an entire generation.

This is why leadership is serious before God.

The higher the influence, the greater the responsibility.

And let this be said carefully.

Spiritual blindness does not happen overnight.

Nobody suddenly wakes up spiritually dead.

It usually begins with neglected prayer.
Uncorrected compromise.
Hidden pride.
Tolerance of sin.
Loss of reverence.
Ignoring conviction repeatedly.

Little by little, spiritual sensitivity weakens.

That is why believers must stay humble before God constantly.

Even strong leaders can drift if they stop guarding their heart.

Paul himself said in 1 Corinthians 9:27,

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

Notice that.

Even Paul understood the danger of spiritual decline.

No believer ever becomes too mature to watch and pray.

No leader ever graduates from dependence on God.

The solution is not paranoia. The solution is humility, repentance, accountability, prayer, and continual surrender to God.

Leaders must remain teachable.
Leaders must remain broken before God.
Leaders must remain sensitive to conviction.

Because the moment a leader stops listening to correction, spiritual blindness begins to grow.

And this message is not only for pastors.

Every believer can become spiritually dull if they repeatedly ignore God’s voice.

The more a person resists conviction, the quieter conviction becomes.

The more compromise is entertained, the weaker discernment becomes.

This is why spiritual fire must be protected constantly.

Guard your prayer life.
Guard your conscience.
Guard your atmosphere.
Guard your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

Never become too familiar with holy things.

Never become too proud to repent.

Never become too busy to seek God sincerely.

One of the saddest parts of Eli’s story is that judgment came while he was still in position.

He was still priest outwardly, but spiritually decline had already entered deeply.

That should make every believer examine themselves seriously.

Because public activity is not always proof of private intimacy with God.

God is not looking only for active people.
He is looking for sensitive hearts.

SUMMARY

A spiritual leader can become spiritually blind like Eli when they tolerate compromise, ignore conviction, and lose reverence for God.

Spiritual blindness does not always appear outwardly immediately. A person can still function publicly while declining privately.

Familiarity with spiritual things without genuine intimacy with God can slowly destroy discernment.

When leaders fear people more than they fear God, compromise increases and spiritual vision weakens.

Spiritual blindness affects not only individuals but entire families, churches, and generations.

The solution is humility, repentance, prayer, accountability, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and continual surrender to God.

Never assume title, age, gifting, or years in ministry automatically guarantee spiritual health.

Stay watchful.
Stay prayerful.
Stay humble before God.

THE HIDDEN MYSTERY OF THE 40 DAYS AFTER THE RESURRECTION ,
WHY JESUS DID NOT RETURN TO HEAVEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER RISING FROM THE DEAD.

One of the deepest questions many believers have asked for generations is this:

If Jesus had already conquered death, defeated the grave, completed the work of redemption on the cross, and resurrected in glory, why did He remain on earth for 40 more days before ascending into heaven?

Why not leave immediately?

Why stay?

What was so important about those 40 days?

This question has confused many people because most believers focus mainly on the crucifixion and resurrection, but overlook the powerful purpose behind the 40 days Jesus spent with His disciples afterward.

Those 40 days were not ordinary days.

They were days of preparation.

Days of revelation.

Days of confirmation.

Days of transformation.

Days where Jesus was preparing weak, confused, fearful men to become world-changing vessels that would shake nations with the Gospel.

Acts 1:3 says:
“After His suffering, He presented Himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.”

Notice something powerful here.

The Bible says Jesus gave “many convincing proofs.”

Why?

Because the disciples themselves struggled to fully process the resurrection at first.

Remember, before the resurrection, many of them were broken, afraid, discouraged, and confused. Peter denied Jesus. Thomas doubted. Some disciples even returned to fishing. Others hid behind closed doors because of fear.

The resurrection was too powerful, too shocking, and too beyond human understanding for them to immediately grasp.

So Jesus stayed to remove every doubt.

He stayed to establish undeniable evidence that He was truly alive.

He ate with them.

He spoke with them.

He walked with them.

He allowed them to touch Him.

Luke 24:39 says:
“Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

This was extremely important.

Jesus was proving that His resurrection was not symbolic, imaginary, or spiritual only. It was real.

Christianity stands on the reality of the resurrection.

Without the resurrection, there is no Gospel.

Without the resurrection, there is no victory over death.

Without the resurrection, there is no hope of eternal life.

This is why Jesus stayed long enough to establish witnesses.

Another hidden truth about the 40 days is this:

Jesus was shifting His disciples from depending on His physical presence to learning how to live by spiritual relationship and faith.

For over three years, the disciples followed Jesus physically everywhere. They depended on seeing Him with their eyes daily. But the time had come for them to mature spiritually.

Jesus knew He would soon ascend.

He knew the Holy Spirit would come.

He knew the disciples would soon stand before kings, rulers, persecution, prisons, and even death.

So the 40 days became a training season.

A transition season.

Jesus was preparing them for a new dimension.

That is why He spent much of the time teaching them about the Kingdom of God.

Acts 1:3 says He spoke to them “about the kingdom of God.”

Imagine that.

After conquering death itself, Jesus still focused on teaching.

This reveals something many believers ignore today.

Spiritual growth is not built on excitement alone.

It is built on understanding.

The disciples needed revelation before responsibility.

They needed spiritual understanding before public ministry.

Another powerful mystery hidden in the 40 days is restoration.

Jesus used those days to restore wounded disciples.

Think about Peter.

Peter had denied Jesus three times before the crucifixion. The guilt must have been unbearable. But after the resurrection, Jesus intentionally restored him.

In John 21, Jesus asked Peter three times:
“Do you love Me?”

This was not accidental.

Jesus was healing Peter’s shame and restoring his assignment.

Sometimes God does not just forgive people privately. He restores them publicly.

Those 40 days were days of healing for broken disciples.

Days of rebuilding confidence.

Days of rebuilding faith.

Days of rebuilding spiritual identity.

Another reason Jesus stayed was to prepare them for the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Before ascending, Jesus commanded them not to rush into ministry yet.

Luke 24:49 says:
“I am going to send you what My Father has promised, but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

This is powerful.

Even though they had walked with Jesus physically, they still needed spiritual empowerment.

Jesus knew human strength alone could not carry divine assignment.

Knowledge alone was not enough.

Experience alone was not enough.

They needed the Holy Spirit.

This completely destroys the idea that human ability alone can sustain spiritual work.

No matter how gifted someone is, without spiritual empowerment, they will eventually become empty.

Another deep mystery is the number 40 itself.

Throughout Scripture, the number 40 often represents preparation, testing, transition, purification, and transformation.

Moses spent 40 days on Mount Sinai.

Israel spent 40 years in the wilderness.

Elijah fasted 40 days.

Jesus fasted 40 days before ministry.

Now after resurrection, Jesus spends 40 days preparing His disciples for the next phase of God’s plan.

This was not coincidence.

It was divine pattern.

The 40 days marked the transition from the earthly ministry of Jesus to the birth of the Church through the Holy Spirit.

And here is another powerful truth many overlook:

Jesus did not only rise to prove He had power over death.

He rose to establish witnesses who would carry the message to the world.

Acts 1:8 says:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses…”

Notice that word carefully.

Witnesses.

The disciples were not merely preaching stories they heard.

They were testifying about what they personally saw.

This is why many of them later died for the Gospel without denying Christ.

People may die for a belief they think is true, but very few willingly die for something they know is false.

The disciples saw the resurrected Christ.

That encounter transformed them permanently.

Another hidden lesson from the 40 days is patience.

Jesus could have rushed everything.

But He did not.

He took time to prepare His people properly.

Many believers today want instant promotion without preparation.

Instant ministry without character.

Instant visibility without spiritual depth.

But heaven often works through process.

Even after resurrection, Jesus still spent 40 days building His disciples carefully.

Do not despise seasons of preparation in your life.

Sometimes God keeps you in hidden seasons because He is strengthening you for future assignment.

The 40 days also reveal God’s mercy.

Even after the disciples failed, doubted, ran away, denied Him, and struggled with unbelief, Jesus still came back for them.

He did not abandon them.

He taught them patiently.

Corrected them patiently.

Restored them lovingly.

Strengthened them gradually.

This should encourage every believer today.

Failure is not always the end.

Weakness is not always the end.

Doubt is not always the end.

God can still rebuild a broken person.

And finally, the 40 days teach us that resurrection was not the end of the mission.

It was the beginning of a greater one.

Jesus ascended, but the assignment continued through transformed believers empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The Gospel spread across nations because those 40 days produced spiritually mature witnesses.

SUMMARY

Jesus stayed 40 days after resurrection to prove He was truly alive, remove doubt from His disciples, restore broken followers, teach them deeply about God’s Kingdom, and prepare them for the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Those days were a season of preparation, transformation, healing, revelation, and empowerment. The 40 days reveal that God values spiritual growth, process, understanding, and preparation before assignment. They also show that Christianity stands firmly on the reality of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Now think deeply about this.

Why would Jesus spend His final earthly days teaching instead of performing endless miracles?

Why was preparation so important before the disciples entered ministry?

Could it be that many believers today want power without process?

Could it be that many people want public impact without private transformation?

What lessons do you personally learn from the 40 days after the resurrection?
