God's grace have the power to make us anew, transform, refresh and revive us again.
"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins".
"Quickened" means a reviving, and an increasing of life (psalm 71:20).
Quicken also means " giving of spiritual life".
OUR CONDITION
Disobedience (eph 2:2)
Children of wrath (eph2:3)
Dead in sins (eph2:5).
REMEDY
Christ's love for us
He gave us life again
His grace saved us.

Introduction
This world is filled with people that grumbles, A christian who never grumbles but shows gratitude to God is one who continues to run the race no matter the situation.

OUR DUTY CALL

To serve God without grumbling-- Philippians 2:14
2) 1 Peter 4:9

Christian should be aware that
1) God is with us and is always good(exo.34:6;,Mathew 28:20).
2)God never wastes pain( 1 peter 4:12-19)
3)one day all pain and suffering will cease( 1cor 15:50-58)
4) lastly nothing will separate us from Gods' love (romans 8:34-38).
Grumbling means to mutter with dissatisfaction
Gratitude means to extend the joy of receiving to others and God gestures of kindness and goodness.

Introduction

This world is filled with unrighteousness and it only takes a christian to resist its unrighteousness by continued effort to the race no matter what happens.
CHARACTER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN

HE SEPARATE HIMSELF FROM EVIL.
2) HE IS SATURATED WITH GOD'S WORD.
ITS BENEFITS
IN SEASON, (1) he is fruitful
(2) He is faithful enough that he does not whither
(3)He flourishes and prospers

PUNISHMENT OF AN UNRIGHTEOUS MAN

1) He cannot prosper
2) He will not be able to participate
3) He will utterly perish

So brethren, let's make a difference as a Christian, by running the race and overcoming unrighteousness with righteousness.

STUDY SCRIPTURE EXO 27 AND 28.

TOPIC: STRIVE AND DIVISION ( II )
( THE SYMPTOMS OF AN UNHEALTHY CHURCH )

REFERENCE SCRIPTURE: I COR 3 VS 3.

THE SPIRIT OF DIVISION

In 1 Corinthians 1: 10, Apostle Paul admonishes us to not allow divisions amongst us as believers. According to him, Now I beseech you brethren by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be NO DIVISION AMONG YOU; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement.
Despite this admonition, it could not be said that division is not within the body.
1). It is the outward fleshly exaltation of the brethren over the others.
2) Division is the carnal estimation of value for the brethren.
3) It is the intentional separation from others in preference for some others.
4). Division is the intentional diversion of attention of brethren from the ultimate to the ordinary.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Oh HOLYSPIRIT, take more of me and give me more of you. I cast out of my heart the spirit of dissatisfaction with others and hatred for others, in Jesus name.

THE AUTHORITY IN UNITY

1. Unity is something that you know when it’s present...and you know when it’s absent.
2. When there is unity...everything runs smoothly & more gets accomplished...but when there is division & lack of unity...all you have is chaos & confusion.
3. In , we have the story of the Tower of Babel...
God had commanded Noah & his sons to disperse & repopulate the earth...but rather than be obedient to God, they decided to settle down & build themselves a city...and build a tower that would reach into the heavens.
•
4. In the two verses we read, God says they would have accomplished what they set out to do b/c they were one people & had the same language.
NLT says the people were “united” •
NLT said they were “united...” •
Even though they were being disobedient & rebellious to God...these verses demonstrate the power of unity.
•
These verses tell us that we can accomplish much more when we work together...rather than we’re divided.
•
5. So this morning, I want to share with you several thoughts about unity.
1) THE BLESSINGS OF UNITY ()
A. UNITY ATTRACTS GOD’S FAVOR & ANOINTING (GETS GOD’S ATTENTION)
1. There are several blessings/benefits to having unity.
A. UNITY ATTRACTS GOD’S
FAVOR & ANOINTING
(GETS GOD’S ATTENTION) •
tells us that unity is like the anointing oil that runs down the beard of Aaron.
•
Oil is symbolic of the HS. •
I believe where there is unity…the presence/power of the HS will be present & operating.
•
It also says that God commands His blessing where there is unity.
•
Think about this - the HS came down on the day of Pentecost when the believers were in one mind & accord.
•
In our passage, while they were building the Tower of Babel…God came down to see what they were doing.
•
Acts 2”1-4
NOTE: If we want God to empower us & bless us…there has to be unity in the church.
God can’t bless & favor division. •
God isn’t attracted to disunity when He is a God of unity....contd
