48 Baptized as "Because You Have Prayed" Revival Concludes

The Aba North Conference has recorded another milestone in soul-winning as the week-long "Because You Have Prayed" revival concluded with 48 baptisms across the Conference.

Among those baptized were about 10 individuals from non-Adventist backgrounds who accepted Jesus Christ and chose to unite with the Seventh-day Adventist Church following the series of revival meetings.

Speaking on the outcome of the programme, the Conference President Henry Emeka Nwankwo expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for His faithfulness, noting that every soul won is a testimony of God's saving grace.

Furthermore, the Conference Evangelism Director, Pastor Alozie Isaiah also praised God for the harvest, commending pastors, elders, members, and everyone who laboured prayerfully to make the revival a success.

The Conference administration rejoices with the newly baptized members and prays that they will remain steadfast in their walk with Christ as they grow in faith and become active witnesses for His kingdom.

ABA NORTH CONFERENCE KICKS OFF 8-DAY ZONAL PRAYER CONFERENCE

The Aba North Conference has officially commenced her 8-Day Zonal Prayer Conference, bringing members across the various Districts together for a special season of prayer and spiritual renewal.

Held under the theme, "Because You Have Prayed" (Isaiah 37:21), the prayer conference will run from Saturday, July 25 to Saturday, August 1, 2026, with daily prayer sessions from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the different district headquarters.

Throughout the eight days, ministers in each zone will exchange the pulpuit as they lead worshippers in Bible study, earnest prayer, and messages of hope, encouraging every member to draw closer to God and seek His direction for their lives, families, and the mission of the Church.

The Conference President, Pastor Henry Emeka Nwankwo warmly encourages all members to take part in this important spiritual exercise, believing that God still answers prayer and that lives will be transformed as His people seek Him together.

ENUC Pastors Begin Theological Education Workshop

Pastors of the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC) have gathered at the Union Headquarters in Ahiaba Umueze, Aba, for a two-day Theological Education Workshop focused on strengthening biblical knowledge and enhancing gospel ministry.

Facilitated by Dr. Kelvin Onongba, the workshop provides ministers with opportunities for deeper biblical study, theological reflection, and practical ministerial growth.

In his opening devotional, Pastor Onyebuchi T. Opara, President of ENUC, reminded pastors that effective ministry is rooted in a solid knowledge of Scripture. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2:15, he urged ministers to remain committed to lifelong learning, faithful Bible study, and prayer so they can accurately proclaim God's Word in every setting.

The workshop is designed to deepen pastors' theological understanding, reinforce their biblical foundation, and renew their commitment to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church across the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference.

ENUC Digital Evangelism Team Deepens Spiritual Readiness Ahead of One Voice 27

As momentum builds toward the One Voice 27 digital evangelism initiative, Digital Evangelism Coordinators (DECs) and Prayer Warriors (PWs) from the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC) have intensified their spiritual preparation by participating in the West-Central Africa Division (WAD) Pastors' Retreat.

The retreat has provided a platform for spiritual renewal, leadership development, and united prayer, equipping participants for the expanding mission of sharing the gospel through digital media. Beyond the formal sessions, the team has remained actively engaged in daily prayer meetings and leadership lectures, seeking divine guidance, wisdom, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for the task ahead.

Addressing the delegates, Pastor Emmanuel Nna, ENUC Digital Evangelism Coordinator, challenged the team to remain steadfast in prayer and unwavering in their commitment to God's mission. He emphasized that the success of digital evangelism depends not merely on technological innovation but on spiritually consecrated lives fully surrendered to God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead others to Christ.

The ongoing preparations reflect ENUC's commitment to building a spiritually vibrant and mission-focused digital workforce capable of proclaiming the everlasting gospel with excellence across online platforms. The initiative aims to expand the church's digital outreach, engage new audiences, and contribute meaningfully to the global mission of preparing people for Christ's soon return.

General Conference President Calls Pastors to Christ-Centered Ministry at WAD Bible Conference
Babcock University, Nigeria | July 3rd, 2026

The President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Pastor Erton C. Köhler, delivered his first address to thousands of pastors and their spouses during the morning devotion of the West-Central Africa Division (WAD) Bible Conference and Leadership Summit, issuing a heartfelt call to embrace Christ's model of compassionate ministry.
Preaching from Luke 10, the parable of the Good Samaritan, Pastor Köhler presented the Samaritan as a symbol of Jesus Christ—the One who seeks, rescues, and cares for the wounded before entrusting them to His followers until His glorious return.
He emphasized that the true essence of ministry is not measured by the number of schools, churches, or institutions established, but by faithful care for the people God has placed in His servants' hands.
Addressing pastors and their spouses serving in remote and challenging mission fields, Pastor Köhler offered words of encouragement and reassurance:
"You are often relegated to remote areas and feel forgotten—but God does not forget you; He is with you. He did not promise you an administrative position, but He promised to take care of you. Do not seek to cling to positions, but rather to the mission of service to humanity."
His message resonated deeply with the congregation, reminding church leaders that God's highest calling is not the pursuit of position or recognition, but selfless service modeled after Christ.
The morning devotion concluded with a solemn commitment as pastors and their spouses reaffirmed their dedication to faithfully shepherd every soul God has entrusted to their care while eagerly awaiting the soon return of Jesus Christ.
Indeed, the mission remains clear: Let us work for the Master.
