[Our sister diocese, The Diocese of West Malaysia, welcomes her 6th Bishop — The Rt Revd Dr Stephen Soe]

On 9th September 2025, the Provincial House of Bishops appointed The Rt Revd Dr Stephen Soe Chee Cheng as the 6th Bishop of the Diocese of West Malaysia.

Bishop Stephen was ordained in 1998 and consecrated as Suffragan Bishop in 2021. His Consecration and Installation as Diocesan Bishop will be held on Friday, 6th February 2026, at St Mary’s Cathedral, Kuala Lumpur.

Let us pray for Bishop Stephen and his family in your prayers as they prepare for this new chapter of ministry.
